I'm crying! I remember the magic of my mother taking me downtown at Christmas time! I am now 67; Halle's, Higbee's, May Company and their window displays! Eating at the counter at Woolworths! So glad downtown is offering memories to kids that will last a lifetime! Mr. Jingeling, Keeper of the keys! Thanks for this; what a wonderful walk down memory lane!
Worked in display in Philadelphia department stores so I know where you are coming from. I can remember discussing with my buddies how we aren't going to say and think like our folks,we were too cool for that. Guess what, we are out parents they were right.
Hello Poko, thanks again for your great downtown Cleveland tours, which only you can do. I love the Snow falling in the park this year. I hope that one year, Tower City and the 4th and 5th Street Arcades will be full of stores again. Thanks again and Merry Christmas to you and your family.🌲🌲🌲
Just perfect the Snow Show. The feeling of jumping into the movie "A Christmas Story"💜🎄🧑🎄 Good job Cleveland, beautiful building. Happy Holidays 💜 Philadelphia...... Appreciate what you have now, things change and pass quickly. Thanks for this early Christmas gift for me. Sadly you can say it seems like dueling banjos; past and present sharing the same stage.
Thrilled to see TC keeps it alive!! Ty for this video! I’d love to see some of the window displays of the past etc , more stores return to TC, but in this struggling and changing economy, they ve done a good job! Your video is the reason we re heading down today!!
Love the snow!! I am sad I missed going there in its hey day. It always looked so awesome but the parents wanted nothing to do with driving up there in the snow lol
Tower city looks so sad now compared to what it was just a few years ago. Wheres the colorful nutcrackers, the big balloon things, all the colors? Sad 😭
Hey, thanks for the upload. I was wondering how they decorated the tower city this year I think the snowfall was cool now I don’t have to go if I don’t want to cause I got your video. Take care.
It would be so much busier especially with downtown workers if tons of food restaurants were there. Let's all write Blackrock management and tell them to start marketing to restauranters.
Dan Gilbert company Bedrock own Tower City. It seem that they don't have a clue on what to do with Tower City. And the solution is so obvious. Put more restaurants and a grocery store in Tower City. A basketball and pickle ball court where the movie theater used to be. An year around indoor skating ring, have a pianist from the Cleveland Orchestra to perform on Wednesday through Saturday at 12pm 3pm. Put a chocolate factory store and a Apple store in Tower city. Put a chick a fil, Trader's joe, and bring back bath and body works store.
Lovely ideas, unfortunately they had many of those things and there were security issues that led to the vacancies we now see. Originally it was a train station, to bad they don't bring the Amtrak station here.
I can't believe more people aren't there. But the rent may be cost prohibitive for most businesses to locate there. Which in turn limits interest in the facility. Let alone that it has recently been reported that there is a decline in the population of Cleveland. Sad😢
They ruined it for me with the all the plastic and the cleaners that trigger my respiratory problems. But I see the children enjoying it. Blackrock could make it better for them too especially by having the Xmas exhibits open weekly. Come on spend some $ BlackRock.
The decorations look nice but there is no other reason to go there. I was there the first day it opened with much fanfare. It is a sad shell of what it used to be. I cut through there to go to a Cavs game last year and it was desolate with sketchy people roaming around. I did not want to linger there to look in any stores.

Eating at the lunch counter at the old downtown Woolworth's is one of my favorite childhood memories. ❤ It was such a treat a few times a year!
Thanks for the tour!
Beautiful Cleveland. 🎄

That’s an awesome idea!!! Yea it’s just seems like wasted space.

You couldn’t pay me to invest in any big city anymore not after the riots a few years back however mostly peaceful they were.
Yeah, that basketball court would work out real well.
It's no wonder why Tower City Center and Higbees appeared in the movie A Christmas Story!!!
BIBLICAL 😊❤❤❤
It's no wonder why Tower City Center and Higbees appeared in the movie, A Christmas Story.
Make tower city first floor a skating rink, restaurants, a gym, basketball court where the old theater was
go see if im still in the bathroom crying and slamming whiskey. lol

Recently? It’s been in decline for 40 years.
Hopefully that's not asbestos falling from the roof. The place is pretty old
No just breathing in microplastics
I know exactly where you are
