I do hope orca gets a winglet tho, it would be really intruiging to see the sea wing princesses and corals realation ships between each other and see what orca was like and if she turned bad due to animus magic or she’s just bad.
It would be absolutely FASCINATING. And it'd be perfect as a winglet too! We know how its ends, we know her final words, and enchanting that statue makes a perfect starting point!
i think so too:D i also wanna hear more about albatross, he seems very interesting- offtopic but i think something about clearsight and sunstreak would be really cool too
@@osheridan true but I feel like we already know about that time and also there were no major events in the kingdom of sea during orcas 7 years so it wouldn’t have any of the key factors a storie needs tbh
In my eyes, *Morrowseer* is *hands down* the *greatest villain in Wings Of Fire.* Whereas some villains like *Scarlet, Burn, and Chameleon* are *crazy for chaos* and other villains like *Blister, Darkstalker, and Wasp* are hungry for power, *Morrowseer’s goals and ambitions are much more complicated than simple evil desires.* For one thing, he wanted to restore his broken tribe to the glory it once had; get it away from the miserable volcano island without having to beg another tribe for help. Secrecy was the only intimidation the NightWings had because no one would fear them if they simply knew the truth, and Morrowseer clung onto that aspect tightly, seeing it as his only source of protection for decades and being as deceiving as possible. On another note, he is a MASTER of planning; able to form immensely complicated yet nearly full-proof plans that result in revolutionary benefit (The Dragonet Prophecy that took nearly a decade to set into motion is a perfect example of this). Not only that, but he always makes sure to be two steps ahead of every possible threat he comes in contact with. Whenever he interacted with another villain like Scarlet or Blister, even at their own territory, he was the one in control of the situation because he’d already planned ahead for potential obstacles they might throw at him. What makes all this so extraordinary is that, despite him being introduced so early in the series, readers know basically NOTHING about Morrowseer for the first three entire books. He’s such a mystery that we can’t even be completely sure if he’s a villain. But then everything about his character progressively gets revealed in The Dark Secret (criminally underrated book by the way) his dedication to secrecy, his master planning skills, and most of all his true motives. From discovering the crummy island home, we understand Morrowseer’s reliance on secrecy: the less everyone knows about him, the better. From witnessing his SkyWing watchtower test, we realize Morrowseer’s astonishing planning abilities to always ensure he’s the one in control of the situation and no one else: just like how he was able to overwhelm all those dangerous dragons in the previous entries. From deciphering his rainforest domination plan, we finally figure out what kind of dragon Morrowseer truly is: a mastermind terrorist who will do whatever it takes to restore his tribe’s honor… except confess to the world how broken it is. Another great thing about Morrowseer’s character is that he’s the only major villain in the entire series who got a fulfilling death sendoff. He was destroyed by the very volcano he trapped his tribe in for the sake of pride. Let’s be honest: all the other main villain deaths were mediocre at best, most of which being ridiculously rushed and glossed over. Morrowseer’s final performance was not only poetic, but also incredibly captivating as well, which brings me to my final argument on why Morrowseer is the greatest villain in Wings Of Fire: his greatest blow on the heroes was simply revealing the truth. No one had ever made the Dragonets of Destiny feel more lost and hopeless than Morrowseer did, when he revealed with a grin of victorious that the prophecy was all made up; that the Dragonets of Destiny had basically no chance of stopping the war; that Pyrrhia was doomed to tear itself apart. And what makes his words so impactful is that they were entirely true. There’s a saying: “What makes a villain truly horrifying isn’t when they are insane or have all the power… it’s when they’re right.” This is a perfect example of that statement. Morrowseer’s last words carried on an enormous sense of doubt within all of the main characters for the majority of the arc’s final entry before they finally overcame it and decided to keep pushing on. Even in death, Morrowseer was able to provide a huge obstacle for the heroes, and he was very aware of it. The last thing Morrowseer ever saw was the Dragonets of Destiny with mortified expressions of hopelessness and misery on their faces, ready to give up on their goal to save Pyrrhia. While every other antagonist in the franchise took their last breath knowing their goals had been ruined and their enemies were victorious, Morrowseer died believing he had won. That is why Morrowseer is, in my eyes, the absolute PINNACLE of Wings Of Fire antagonists. It’s not even a contest with the other villains. Morrowseer outshines them all.
Morrowseer was a great villian, I feel like it could have been executed better. When I read the Dark Secret it didn't feel like a Wings of Fire book, it felt like a long stretched out short story. That is why I feel like Morrowseer got rated so low, people aren't rating him for him, they're rating him for the book he was in.
In Chameleon’s defense, he had one of the most unpleasant origin stories of the entire franchise, and that is saying a LOT for Wings Of Fire. He was born with a deformed snout that kept him from sleeping for more than an hour at a time, which is absolute misery through and through for a RainWing. He lived every day in exhaustion to the point that he couldn’t even change the color of his scales like the other dragons of his tribes. And to top it all off, he was exiled from his own kingdom because of his differences and being unpleasant due to it. He was kicked out into a world war where a RainWing would be a sitting duck. Just imagine how horrible it must have been to live that kind of life. Chameleon was physically incapable of getting the many hours of sleep that a RainWing needs to flourish. Those are already horrible conditions for any kind of dragon, but for a RainWing it is endless excruciating pain. And then he’s kicked out of the only area where he is safe, the rainforest, and has to fend for himself in a world that he couldn’t possibly be prepared for. Nothing had gone right for him, and no one cared to help him. All the way up to this point, Chamaeleon didn’t do a single thing wrong to deserve such a horrible life. Nature was cruel to give him a deformed snout that forced him to live a life without the much needed rest his body was desperate for. And then his tribe was cruel to kick him out of their kingdom just for being different, and into a world that would tear him apart. It is only after all this when he finds a magic scroll of incredible power and uses it to help evil tyrants for his own gain, being left with absolutely no sympathy for others after everything the world had done to him. Chamaeleon is the ultimate embodiment of a villain who was created and formed entirely by the cruelties of the world around him. This villain is someone who lived in suffering and exhaustion and unfairness before ever committing a wrongful act. Pretty much all sanity and rational thinking has been drained from him, and he commits himself to wild ideas just for the heck of it because he just doesn’t have it in him to care anymore. Even though a lot of Chameleon’s actions don’t seem to make any sense, I think it still lines up perfectly with his character: a tragic soul who was repeatedly pounded into the dirt until he finally snapped and fired back with whatever he could find, all innocence being robbed from him by the horrific life he’d been given. And for what it’s worth… I hope he found peace in the end.
Honestly I love an entirely pathetic villain. Chameleon is so utterly pathetic it’s laughable. (Also I headcanon that he is brachycephalic because a dragon with a pug face makes me laugh)
You know the creative thought of morrowseer being the big bad villain and making up that fake prophecy is really unsettling and really creative for first four books is great plot twist.
Starflight gets underrated. The Dark Secret gets underrated. Morrowseer gets underrated. I see a clear pattern here and I don’t like it. Justice for all these spectacular pieces of writing!
People who have read the original series are slowly getting old and dying of old age. The youngsters ignore proper classics of literature. That's the reason.
I mean....I wouldn't underate Starlight but his book is kinda just him getting torcherd by Morrowseer with the Fake Dragonets Edit : No offence to any Dark Secret fans , it was a good book , especially at the end with the rainwing nightwing fight
Darkstalkers ranking was totally deserved. Dudes had a legends book and an arc! Theres been so much character development and.. AAAA he’s awesome! Darkstalker is probably one of my favourite characters cause of his backstory and character, and Im so happy he got such a good ranking!
@@Biscuit_builder yes, I see it now. Underneath the brainwashing genocidal murderer is a very lonely brainwashing genocidal murderer. Sure. Makes it all better.
Okay, Cameleon is criminally underrated, i mean, an outcast shunned and frowned upon by his own tribe, stumbling across seemingly infinite power, and with it deceiving a deadly queen and mildly assisting her but keeping the power mostly to himself, antagonizing peril, the jade winglet, and contributing to any evil cause he can find like a mercenary for hire, and al throughout he manages to be evil and an amazingly written character. his intentions are clear, he is evil but not quite a fully corrupt world ender, and when he loses his powers, he is devastated. Always scrabbling to aquire weath and fame, but never being truly filled.
@@JadeMountainArchive Too BAD SHE SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN AWAY WITH AND HECK DELIVER SUNNY TO BURN SO BURN CAN STUFF HER AND KEEP HER AS A FINE DECORATION! MUHAHAHA 😈🔥😏
Darkstalker is probably my favourite fictional villain out of all series I've read/watched (other than Azula, probably), lol. Albatross and Arctic, to be very honest, feel more like a result of their very poor birth places (not because of the place itself, but the dragons surrounding). I've always felt like Blister is an underrated villain, because I honestly think she's interesting and was the only capable of rulling the SandWing tribe out of the three sisters in a "believable" way. Even though Snowflake&Snowfox had short screen time they were nice to see. :D
1. Yes 2. The whole future seeing thrice moon born thing could have been done been done wayyy better 3. Albatross was a great villain not just because of the INSANE murders he pulled off, but how it impacted the kingdom of the sea and Fathom 4. I like Avatar The Last Airbender great anime
@@tntkermit ANIME???? WTF its an AMERICAN SHOW made in AMERICA by fucking CARTOON NETWORK WHAT DO YOU MEAN ANIME HOW DID YOU EVEN THINK THAT?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Blister was great. She should not have messed with the Eye of the Onyx, she should have killed Sunny before she even found it. Let Thorn rule her little village and fight Vulture if she likes to :)
I think Arctic can never be a villain, but a pawn for everyone's use that just finally had enough and took the only way out of his misery. Arctic tried to escape the kingdom he was born in so he could be free of his mothers controlling and the fear of what do with his powers but literally the opposite happened. He was taken to an unknown land and treated as an object for everyone's wants and needs. His own love started slipping away and when Darkstalker told him about the holes in his soul he probably realised how bad things had truly gotten. An actual conversation they had was pretty much "Hey I don't want the queen to use my powers to fight my birth tribe" and then foeslayer said "well you have to start forgetting about everything your tribe and start believing we're your tribe so that the queen can control you and have you do whatever she likes". Like dude, he's still grieving after everything he has lost and you say "oh yeah anyway lets forget about that". That is like the purest manipulation I have ever seen. The dude was driven to craziness by his own family, the same one he thought he would love, and had no sympathy when he tried to go home in a peaceful 'No killing dragonets way'. Although I do think there could be a better option than kidnapping his daughter and enchanting her what would you expect? his mind was probably in shambles after he saw what he had become. A tool for the queen to use when she wanted, just like his own mother, the one he tried to escape. He was killed by his own claws just for wanting to feel accepted and wanted by SOMEONE which was obviously something no one can ever have apparently. Darkstalker wanted to be separated from his father but he ended up just like him: without love, no one to truly understand him, driven crazy by everyone around him and his past mistakes which he blames everyone for... the list is endless. What i've always loved about Tui's writing is how deep it goes and arctic is just a resemblance of "be careful what you wish for" he wanted love but got hatred and envy. He is the most underrated character in my opinion, solely from what everyone overlooked because, 'he was a bad husband/dad' is a terrible excuse and why do think that is because huh? I'm pretty sure it's not because he wanted to and totally decided, 'hey let's be a total villain' no i think it's because nearly everyone who loved him wanted to use him and everyone looked at him as if he was either an enemy or a tool. Also I recommend you watch Prince Arctic WOF | Wonderful World | PMV by Wolf Huntress Art because it explains a lot about what i'm saying and there are some people who can give some more in depth stuff in the comments. But yeah that's it and please re read the darkstalker book with this in mind and you can see where i'm coming from.
He’s still ultimately responsible for everything he did and doesn’t have an excuse, no one really does. But I agree that his environment shaped him into what he became, you made some very good points
I agree that Morrowseer here is underrated. But I think his placement is due to him mostly taking a backseat to the other arc 1 villains; he's never really front and center till book 4, and he lacks the charisma of many of his contemporaries.
I’ve always been partial to Chameleon, such a wildcard and such a cool design. I’d love a winglet for him. Also whirlpool should be S tier. He is a master class in writing a hate able and memorable villain. He is frequently brought up in discussions despite only appearing in 1 book. He made that much of an impression! A villain doesn’t have to be relateable.
I think Whirlpool placed so low because most people in the fandom are grossed out by him 😅 You'd figure that would actually help boost him up to a higher tier, but I don't think people want to give him any victories (even if its a super twisted victory lol).
@@randomperson-kx6mv Yeah, one of the worst parts for me was when Whirlpool made that icky comment about Auklet. I would have been fine with him if he hadn't been so disgusting.
@@randomperson-kx6mv yuck. Literally the only people who like whirlpool just do it for the Dragonsheep memes. He wasn’t even scary! Just - groooosss. YUCK. Every time he showed up I wanted to take a shower.
@@hyzmarie Yeah- Throughout _The Lost Heir_ Whirlpool was constantly described as "oily"; I think that word sums him up perfectly 🤮 Just a nasty, slimy swamp thing.
Sandstorm is really cool! She is one of my favorites characters in the first series of warrior cats. I finally found someone who knows both of these series. Also, you are right about Albatross. What I have noticed is that most villains I have heard of have a dark past. Darkstalker earned his place on s tier! "You can not touch our happy little bean and get away with it" This quote will be written down for the WOF fan history books!
sees S tier Me: huh I wonder which villains go there sees Darkstalker Me: oh. I'm kinda sad we have to say a short goodbye to the tierlists but I'm so stoked for your new content! If only we managed to put Teal in the recommended villains. Toast to the Qibli fanclub!
I always thought Wasp was awesome. When you think about it, a good villain most have a motive. Wasp's motive is her quote, "If everyone in the world is evil, the only way to survive is to be the most evil." She clearly believes that everyone is horrible and she has to be the most horrible. That's a good motive and a scary villain if you ask me.
I rated almost every villain somethin like B or higher, but not because I necessarily loved their personalities or whatever. They were just crazily well-written. (Scarlet and Darkstalker are solid S tier.)
This is how you know Darkstalker and Winter are related because they both had terrible fathers. I honestly saw them being friends at one point because they were somewhat of the same person.
Winter: Apart from trying to kill my whole tribe (and having totally reasonable expectations to succeed at this too) he is a nice guy at heart. I mean, I can sort of understand where Vladimir Putin is coming from, but that does not make me want to be friends with him.
Darkstalker makes my blood boil and makes me smile at the exact same time. From the beginning he was bad. ‘Sorry little sister. These are MY moons. MY mother. MY world.’ He makes light of Clearsight’s anger and hurt from when he enchants the earrings to keep her from worrying. Yes, she did worry a lot, but there are a lot of better ways to console her than just enchanting her. Same with Fathom. That’s like saying, “Oh, your dog died?” *whacks magic in their face* “All right, now you’ll forget about it, byyeeeee!!! What do you mean you don’t want to forget? Well you SHOULD want me to help. You SHOULD want me to fix you.” He manipulates Moon into releasing him, trying to make himself look all humble and noble. And then he just skims over it like it’s nothing! He tells her, “Anything I say to you will sound like a lie,” and that’s EXACTLY what he does! Lie! More and more lies! Oh, and how can we possibly forget the Arctic situation. I’m sorry, remind me why he made him disembowel himself again? Mhm, mhm? What’s that? His mom died? Oh no! Oh, more? Arctic’s a terrible father? That doesn’t mean he deserved what he got. And neither did the rest of the IceWings. All in all, Darkstalker’s a great VILLAIN. I love watching him become evil, but I would NEVER want to be friends with him in real life.
On Arctic's disembowelment, I'd like to argue that the bit where he scrubbed his daughter's mind and broke it into a neurotypical shell of herself in an attempt to sell her off as a breeding tool for animus magic for a people she was never a part of and would never care for her might've been part of the motivation, too. (If I'm remembering that all right, it's been a minute.) Thank any draconic gods out there it was reversible. Darkstalker is definitely a skeevy mess, though. No denying that.
@@lightofthefandoms6496 Oh absolutely, Darkstalker was in no way making the decisions of a moral person. That was horrifying (especially because it wasn't simply disembowelment, but forcing Arctic to do it to *himself*). I just think that what Arctic did/was going to do to Whiteout is also an important part of Darkstalker's motive lol
Yesssss my top three favorites were the top three, let's gooooo. Although tbh, I like Albatross more than Darkstalker and Scarlet. He's just the most fascinating to me as a villain, especially since we have not seen directly inside his head yet. And the way he's influenced not only the SeaWings but like animus magic and the continent as a whole? There is no one more S tier in my opinion. I fucking love him. But OMG, how can you not like Chameleon?? I'll admit that yes, he's an idiot but that's why I love him. It's like he tries to be bad but fails at every possible turn. All he wants is to cosplay as different dragons and collect shiny objects. Dude has simple goals and I respect that. Plus, he is one of the two dragons responsible for birthing one of the most iconic, quotable, best characters in the entire series: my girl, Peril. There is no way I cannot love him for that.
I’m immensely disappointed Snowflake and Snowfox made it so high Also Wasp Eclipsing Blister despite barely being on screen for a book is a crime all onto itself
9:30 HEY! Don't you go dissin on that cute lil bean! Moon is cute! She is precious! Althought I supposed it is a fair point... JMA and Qibli have officially been a thing in my mind since seeing that ship art. Also, last tier list for a while huh? Thats such a strange feeling to know these little bits of joy are over for the time being, though I'm quite sure we'll get more fantastic content (and that Teal hint at the start was glorious. Oh and how expressive the editing on yourself is)
Hehehe, I'm glad you enjoyed the tier lists and the fanart! As for Teal: Where did he come from? Where did he go? Don't ask me, because I don't know :P
Shipping an actual person and a fictional character just makes my skin crawl. Ugh! I get the Qibli love, he’s fantastic, but there should NOT be romance there. It’s wrong on so many levels.
@@hola-hx8ri my theory is that she is evil because she hates the world for giving her her name.. I mean an orange dragon named scarlet. I almost feel bad for her.

I loved to see my rankings contribute to this awesome video! It’s so sad there won’t be more tier lists soon! I think Marrowseer got underrated. Personally I think that cottonmouth and Whirlpool were the worst villains.
Video really made my day as it was kinda sucking, but I would like to say I didn’t think winters parents were that abusive, but I think that more goes to show my own home life. I’m really exited to see what new kinds of videos you’ll be doing in the future, and I’m sure they’ll turn out great. Thanks for the video
I personally think chameleon is the best villain and character. He was an innocent rain wing dragonet, who probably wanted to fit in and make friends. Then he got banished for being different, which is super unfair. This probably taught him to hate rainwings. When he attacked kinkajou it was probably him having bad flashbacks of rainwings making fun of him. WHICH DOES NOT MEAN HE IS INNOCENT HE STILL ATTEMPTED MURDER. But I do think he has proven to care for his family. He trusted peril more then scarlet with his secret. He was also surprised and in shock when he found out peril was his daughter. Idk if that meant he was happy or just surprised. He also is pretty important for the plot as he had the scroll and stuff. If he hadn’t enchanted tourmaline/ruby then the plot would have changed a lot. Also the fact that he was able to read a bit to find out what the scroll did was amazing and impressive. In conclusion, CHAMELEON NEEDS A LEGENDS OR WINGLET BOOK AND PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO ON HIM
Ok, I agree with where you put the false Queens but grandure was the original rainwing Queen before glory and I believe is an advisor to the Queen herself, she also is related to Glory and made her Queen after she found out, so the rest are villains but grandure is like that nice grandma lol.
because of tundra and narwhal i’m now quite curious of what would happen on a WoF parental figures tier list, like, there’s a lot, and very few are actually good, and it would be interesting to see who everyone hates the most
My thing on darkstalker is he was mentally abused, handed wayyyyy to much power at birth, and the only dragons who supported him (clearsight, fathom, whiteout, ext) weren’t in a place to help with so much trauma just WAITING YO HAPPEN. He was trying to be good, but just didn’t know how.
Y'all have such interesting reasons for liking Darkstalker, like how in depth his character is, how he was both already half redeemed and possibly beyond redemption, how he only thought his twisted views were the right thing. And I'm just here like 'haha dead Seawing princess go brrr' xD
I love the tier list, but I just have a question on my mind about wof. How did icewing animus power die in the tribe. Clear sight says that Snowfox has a daughter and Snowfox is the daughter of Diamond. Doesn’t that mean that the power would keep going through her. Just like the way Turtle got powers all the way back when Pearl had it in her blood.
So animus is heritable which probably means it's genetic. It isn't clear if it's based on a single gene or a collection of genes or something else, but it's probably reasonable to assume it's something along those lines. Now, when parents pass genes down to offspring, only 50% of each parents' genes (usually) end up getting passed along. So, if the animus magic gene just happened to be in the 50% of DNA that didn't get passed down, it would be gone.
@@JadeMountainArchive oh that makes sense, but then why didn't Diamond have more dragonets, so they had at least a chance for another animus (I know these are questions you pobably couldnt answer, but I will ask them anyway.)?
Here's a big jumble of thoughts I had during this video (don't click "Read more" unless you want to scroll for a while): Queen Scarlet: I've seen some people complain about how one-dimensional she is, but I ADORE villains who are evil just for the sake of being evil. Not every villian needs a tragic backstory! Scarlet slays all on her own 😌✨️ Give this girle the S tier she deserves. Jerboa I: She's the only villain in Wings of Fire who sent genuine shivers down my spine. Watching her slowly mold her daughter into a meek, mindless servant was so disturbing to me... Perhaps because people like her exist in real life (minus the magic element, y'know). Diamond and Vigilance: For some reason, I want to see these two at each other's throats in a generic, Disney-esque sitcom. Orca: A while ago, I heard a super interesting theory about Orca enchanting Moray to devote herself to the Queen of the SeaWings. I don't actually buy into this theory - Moray probably just doesn't want to get on Queen Coral's bad side - but I could see why Orca would want to "take care" of Moray. Arctic and Icicle: I grouped these two together because I don't really think of them as villains for the same reason. I saw another comment point out how Arctic was just kind of a pawn for the bigger villains to use, and I think this explains his function very well. I believe Icicle had the same deal going on, too, as she was likely just following orders when she killed Crane during the war and was later being manipulated by Queen Scarlet. Both of these characters still did terrible things, but those things don't quite scream "villainy" to me. Darkstalker: He is the J.D. of Wings of Fire. He's a terrible guy, but for some reason (actually, nevermind, I think I know the reason), everyone still simps for him. Clearsight and Fathom are turning in their graves right now. Blister: Every character can't stop talking about how smart she is, but I don't really see it...? The only time she really utilizes her cleverness is around Queen Coral, and Queen Coral doesn't seem that hard to sway... I guess she was also able to slide into an alliance with the NightWings, but I don't find this move very impressive either; While the NightWings were a pretty influential tribe at the time, they were very weak... Not sure how far they would've been able to take Blister if things had gone more according to her plan. Heath: I know I was just praising one-dimensional villians, but, uh... Heath is one done in a very bland way. I got no satisfaction from watching him shit on everything; He just pissed me off. Wasp: She was cool as hell at first, but she gradually became less and less intimidating as the series went on. By the time Cottonmouth was introduced, Wasp was just a joke to me. I REALLY wish she took less of a backseat in the books; I was hoping she'd be a more serious, scary Scarlet. Chameleon: I agree with your take on him; He really does just make things harder for himself 😅 I do find him kind of amusing, though. He's just a scrunkly little goblin guy. Battlewinner: YES- Her aesthetic is INCREDIBLE. Every piece of fanart of her never disappoints! Her spot on this tier list certainly does, though 😔 I would've put her in A tier solely for how metal she is. Vulture: He was such a disappointing villian. He was built up to be this big, dangerous mafia boss, but when his plan to seize the SandWing throne through Onyx failed, he just up and skidaddled?? Like, what???? You can't just do that- ARRRGH, the ruined potential!! Cottonmouth: I also agree with your take on him. I don't think he really deserves the hate he gets - I thought he was okay - but I still understand it. I feel like he would have been so much more effective villian if he had been introduced earlier on in the series (I kind of got "Somehow Palpatine returned" vibes from his revelation lol). I also don't like how he took the spotlight away from Wasp... Wasp not being the true villain doesn't bother me, but he REALLY did her dirty smh. Mastermind: When he was first introduced, I thought: "Oh wow! Finally, a nice, proper parent! Good for Starflight." And then the book went on... and then my smile slowly began to disappear... Burn: She's absolutely brutal and I love her 😊 She's my favorite SandWing sister. Breath of Evil: My only gripe with it is that I feel like it was defeated a little too easily... I wanted to see it wreck more havoc. Otherwise, it's a super cool and creepy villian. Morrowseer: C TIER??? Okay, I can live with most of the other tier placements, but this is just... are you kidding me???? When I was little, this guy scared the living SHIT out of me; He's such a good villain 😭 Edit: Just fixed some spelling and grammar mistakes.
Morrowseer is friggin' CAREER ENDING, it's terrifying. I will say, Icicle is my least favorite dragon villain, she feels so... impactless, like I could barely even remember what she did to serve the plot other than another distraction.
@@capootiscrepitoos Yeah, Icicle is definitely... uh... one of the characters ever. Out of every character in Wings of Fire, she is certainly one of them. Jokes aside, I feel like Icicle has the potential to be a super interesting character (I once read a post theorizing that Icicle brags about killing to cope with the trauma it has caused her, which I find intriguing), but Tui doesn't really know how to bring that potential out.
Ehhh.. I definitely feel like Cottonmouth was a bad guy he stole, tortured and murdered tiny dragonets. I feel Orca was a lot more sinister than people act her to be I mean she geniusly enchanted a stone statute to murder all seawing heirs WHEN IN THEIR EGG she is definitely underated villian wise. I say Blister was a very smart manipulative villian I loved her sinister aspect. After reading Six Claws winglet I hated Burn. Wasp was just racist in general she never had a reason to enslave the silkwings and murder the leafwings other than racism.
@@veronicameldrum1527 Oh, when I said that I didn't understand why Cottonmouth was so hated, I meant that I didn't understand why people hated him as a VILLAIN. Not why people hated a character lol. Yeah, Cottonmouth is awful from that aspect. And I haven't read Deserter yet, so I don't know where Tui takes Burn's character in that book 🤷 And yeah, I guess it would be neat if Wasp had more interesting motivations or was involved with the lore a bit more (whenever the books explore the roots of the Breath of Evil, Wasp is usually just... kind of mentioned, sometimes). But honestly?? I could settle for Wasp's backstory being that she's a jerk lmao. I just wish she did more from there...
What's your opinion on a Morrowseer redemption au where he starts out as a small, weak NightWing who is unnamed and transforms into Morrowseer through Queen Battlewinner's animus magic (just in this au she has magic) with no memory of his past life and is "adopted" as Prince Morrowseer by Queen Battlewinner and becomes Greatness' "brother"? First part of the au takes place before Arc 1 (first paragraph). Morrowseer is also saved from the volcano by Starflight and slowly regains his memory throughout the next book and possibly in the Arc 2 of this au. (Currently in early developmental stages, subject to change).
So, speaking of sunny hatred, I got a wings of fire blanket, and it had every protagonist from every arc except the third.. except for sunny. And no, they had enough space. You know how I know? THEY PUT ANEMONE INSTEAD! Blatant sunny hatred, my happy little bean getting left out
I dunno if this was intentional, but I think it’s interesting that the three minds that make up “the othermind”, or the main antagonist of arc three, sort of represent the three “antagonist tropes”. Cottonmouth, (the human), is the pure evil antagonist. Lizard, (the dragon), is the sympathetic antagonist. The Breath of Evil (the plant), is the force of nature antagonist. Say what you want about the quality of how the othermind is written, it’s not the best antagonist in Wings of Fire, but I just thought it was a cool detail worth sharing.
I had forgotten so many of these characters and took me a minute to remember some, I had to Google a few like jerboa one because I genuinely forgot about them since it's been a while since I refreshed my memory on these dragons
I honestly think Morrowseer should be higher he’s honestly an amazing crafted villain In the first arc. He’s a very interesting and mysterious character that I would’ve liked to know about. The whole prophecy thing being crafted was honestly a very good twist. Knowing that he and the other nightwings tricked whole tribes into thinking the prophecy was real. He even pretend he was one with the talons of peace telling them everything and all they had to do but just taking the dragonets for nothing. He always seem to be a great planner to always seeing what is going on and knowing when to strike and out smart anyone. I always found him an fascinating villain but criminally underrated he was prideful but wanted to accomplish what he’s tribe has been planing for a while. I felt like he would’ve succeeded honestly if Star flight didn’t find out he would’ve brought he’s tribe to glory.
You are my favourite WOF UA-cam and are so entertaining and funny! Adding to that I have an idea to share for a future video; You could react to a WOF would you rather and analyze it! (It’s only an idea and it’s not very good but I think it would be entertaining and one more content idea while you take a break from tier lists)
Hi JMA love your videos I haven't read Darkstalker yet but he seems to have a cool background I was sad and relieved at the same time when Kinkajou killed him by turning him into Peacemaker
Here, I have something for you! *Me pulling out two cards* What is the difference between this picture and this picture? *They show polluting the ocean* *They also show whirlpool* Me: They're the same picture.
My favorite villain is queen scarlet. She was around for 8 books, which is surprising and it lets her come up as a small part of a book for almost EVERY book. Hidden Kingdom: The dream visitor scene before Glory became Queen. Brightest night: She was stuck and escaped with Peril from Burn’s tower. Moon Rising: They think the bomb Sora put off was Scarlet. Winter Turning: Scarlet has used Chameleon to enchant Hailstorm as Pyrite. Escaping Peril: Scarlet and Chameleon find Peril, enchant her with Darkstalker’s scroll, and make her loyal to Scarlet and forget about Clay. Peril finally realizes what had happened and helps Ruby (Tourmaline) kill Scarlet. The fact that Scarlet was so cruel to the dragonets of destiny, to her own tribe, and to Peril (who could have easily killed her in a heartbeat) makes me believe that Scarlet is the most evil wings of Fire character. Another reason if you aren’t already convinced? Scarlet has no harsh, traumatizing backstory for who she is. Instead, she chose to be cruel and force dragons to fight to the death. Scarlet has no redeeming qualities, no brutal past, and she is what she is because she was born evil. Scarlet is manipulative as well. She managed to control one of the most powerful dragons, Peril. Peril could have decided one day, when she got mad at the queen, “I’ll just kill her and become Queen myself.” Peril has gotten angry at Scarlet before, like when she killed Osprey and when she didn’t eat the black rocks as a child when Scarlet refused to tell her about her mother. However, Scarlet said that apparently, the “Black rocks” kept her alive. She even poisoned Peril when she didn:t eat them. I believe all of this evidence shows that Scarlet is one of the most evil, if not the most evil Wings of Fire antagonist. Thank you for reading this if you made it this far!
I had a hard time voting on this one. I felt like I was ranking them half on how much I legitimately liked them, half on how entertaining they were, and half on what a good villain they were. The math doesn’t add up- 😂
Bruh i really don't get the Darkstalker worship from this fandom 😭 he has done so many horrible, manipulative, awful things, they just do not outweigh the few kind things he did do
Yeah, like I get it, Darkstalker is incredibly well-written and complex, but people need to stop worshipping him and excusing his actions just because “he had good intentions”. Good intentions aren’t enough. I think JMA summed him up perfectly - he’s an anti-villain, someone who does wrong for reasons they believe just. People also seemed to forget how toxic and manipulative he was to Clearsight, and yet still think he’s so amazing😐. All I kept thinking about when I was reading their scenes together was how scared I was for Clearsight. Anyway, great video JMA! And sorry for the huge ass reply😂
I have to agree with that. Darkstalker is easily the most likeable, and sympathetic villain in the series. Though I have to say, when we first started talking about Darkstalker, he sounded worse than Burn and Blister put together. He sounded Voldemort-esque in fact. But, once we got to know him a bit, well okay, maybe I was a little bit hasty with that description. Yes, Darkstalker is all-powerful and wants to rule all. Yes, he did the thing that permanently binds you to the dark side (murdering a family member) and feels no remorse for it. Yes, he has sought out ways to make himself immortal. Yes, he hates a certain group of dragons with a passion. But, somehow, as bad as Darkstalker is, he does not seem like the kind of villain who would kill one of his own minions without a backward glance. And he does truly care about Moon. Also, pity points?! I'm sorry, but after what Chameleon did to Kinkajou, I got no sympathies for him at all! You don't do THAT to my Energetic Little Fireball! And he can put on his magic masks and call himself Soar and Shapeshifter and Cirrus as much as he wants, but to me he's always Chameleon the RainWing weather he likes it or not!
I actually quite like Mastermind and kinda feel sorry for him. While I do not agree with what he did to the captured RainWings one bit, I understand why he did it. He was devoted to his tribe finally getting off that volcano and into the rainforest, but he wanted to make sure that way RainWings would't be a threat. All the research and horrible experiments he did was all to give his tribe a better life. I also really like his character. He's geeky, nervous and enjoys talking about new things he's learned just like his son. I do understand why Glory gave him such a harsh punishment, but at the same time I think he deserves a chance at redeeming himself.
I have something to say that will probably start a riot in the comment section: Wasp is overrated. She is one-sided and she was never really given a motive. We don't even see her for most of arc 3, and when we finally did, she dies. I mean, really? She is also very very stupid. She said yes to a sadistic plant and Cottonmouth who only wanted to take the continent for themselves. I mean, you could say that Scarlet is one-sided as well, but at least Scarlet had lots of page time for you to see what kind of dragon she really was. Wasp, on the other (talon) hand, as I said earlier, had almost no page time. There's my rant. Enjoy beating me up verbally in the comments. I look forward to arguing with you, fellow JMA fans.
@@JustaSamoyed Oh that's true- I guess I hadn't read the arc very recently when I posted this haha. Do you ever just see a really old comment and think to yourself "Why did I post this comment" Yeah that's what just happened Sorry about that 😭
We need a new discord. The JMA discord was so fun. You don't need to be on it all the time but you can have a QnA with rules like, ping you once per question so you know how many questions you should answer. PLEASE I miss the mindscape.
13:40 I was rooting for Darkstalker to succeed...until I read Legends Darkstalker. He's my favorite WoF character and villain, but like, he just screwed up to a point where I can't want him to win. But I think he should have gotten a redemption arc instead death by strawberry.
NOOOO literally the first thing I thought when I pressed on your vid was 'ooh I'm excited for the next list' AND THEN you said 'no more tier lists for a while' and I like died inside and also oml the 'you cannot touch our HAPPY. LITTLE. BEAN' I died 😂😂😂
Darkstalker cared about his friends, and he tried to convince himself he wasn't bad. He went through some really tough times, and lots of pressure, and eventually, he grew manipulative and power hungry without knowing it.
Finally made an account dedicated to this content :D Also, it’s been long since I’ve read the WoF books and my school did not have the 11th or 12th books (despite having all the first two arcs and the 14th book) for some reason. Also had the Darkstalker legends book.
@@Lookink54-ut yeah totally, I noticed the upper half of the rankings are good characters and the lower half are mostly villains lol. Not how I would rank them, personally
i feel for the fake dod because i would be mad if i got taken from my home! they lashed out at fatspeaker because she is a nightwing and they arnt thinking straight they are just in a constant state of mad
When battle winner was alive: hmmm do you want to make an alliance? Scarlet: with pleasure~ who do you wanna kill first? Battle winner: ICE WINGS! Scarlet: brilliant idea 😎 (This is what I think they would do tbh 🗿)
i feel like the icewing ranking system is really toxic. i’m pretty sure the reason why winter’s parents sacrificed him was because of the ranks and if they gave that up they could’ve been killed (i think) and it makes the icewings think that their useless if they aren’t in a certain rank
Honestly I would have to say darkstalker is my favorite, there is just something about how he was different than the villains in arc 1 that got me thinking after I read book 6 and darkstalker legends. It was just so interesting to me how a good character could turn evil if he thinks it's right. Like for example scarlet was evil just because, morrowseer was introduced by attacking the dragonets, but darkstalker, he was introduced as a calming voice in the back of moon's mind and then later in the book was revealed to be this big evil dragon from nightmares but we still trust him because he didn't seem evil. And then we get his legends book and then in book 9 he seems evil but we aren't sure and in book 10, the very last book, he is revealed to be evil. he was just so unique because he had a reason to be evil his friend "betrayed" him at least from his point of view.
He's a fantastic villain for all the time he spends in the morally grey area! I love how you can really see the world from his perspective and come to understand his actions, even if they were based on some flawed views of things.
Om gosh.. love the jazzy music at the end XD! I was Vibin. dark stalker was the perfect villain, Cuz he knew everything. I know it sounds confusing but let me explain. In a lot of villain hero scenarios there is always something the villain doesn’t know, but that’s not the case here. Darkstalker knew everything, every spell a dragon would enchant, every thought you have when you’re around him, every future scenario, he knew absolutely everything. and the things he didn’t know was Little. if you try to put yourself in that sort of situation you realize how hard it was for them to defeat him. and the constant chance that maybe you were enchanted by him would constantly be on your mind…AND HE WOULD KNOW THAT SO MAYBE WE WOULD ENCHANT YOU TO STOP WORRYING ABOUT THAT!!! Ahh it hurts my brain to think about. LOL But you get my point. Darkstalker it was so very powerful and the fact that he knew so many things as to the scariness of him for me. Ps. I have a video suggestion. maybe you could talk about the seawing royal family and why they’re so stinking awful!!! Except tsunami of course. I feel like that would be a fun topic to go over. but of course it’s just a suggestion for a video. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day. pss. I CAN NOT GET OVER HOW MUCH I LOVE YR SONA!!!!
I think the reason Morrowseer got such a low rating is because most of us forget he even exists, and to me, he was just some random dragon causing misery to the dragonets for no apparent reason (keep in mind I started this series when I was young so I didn’t understand all of it)
You can not touch our happy little bean and get away with it! Honestly I think Scarlet was an awesome villain and she was just awesome to have in the series making her one of my favorite characters. Not because of her personality because the way her character was developed and the way she plays a part in the conflict of the series. I also feel like Queen Wasp wasn’t always as ruthless as she was in The series only because of what the breath of evil did to her, but then I remembered why Hawthorn tricked her into eating the plant in the first place: because of how evil and cruel she was.
Chameleon is my favorite villain. Darkstalker ties him, though. He desperately tries to gain happiness, because he thought that gold and objects to give it to him. He then tries to find his daughter, helping scarlet to make it happen, thinking that maybe a daughter would fill the hole in his soul that the magic and lust corroded. It only makes him sadder, as she doesn't love him. He tries magic on her, but that fails too. It was never about the money, it was a desperate cling to trying to get happiness. He didn't try to rule the continent, as he is not the kingly type, and knows what that would mean. All he wants is just to taste happiness, but he never succeeds, constantly taken down by basically everyone ever.
We know how its ends, we know her final words, and enchanting that statue makes a perfect starting point!
i think so too:D i also wanna hear more about albatross, he seems very interesting- offtopic but i think something about clearsight and sunstreak would be really cool too
@@brookeross91 I actaully haven’t read the winglets yet but I’ve heard there really good! Sun streak is clear sights next mate right?
Nonono we need a Legends book!
@@osheridan true but I feel like we already know about that time and also there were no major events in the kingdom of sea during orcas 7 years so it wouldn’t have any of the key factors a storie needs tbh
In my eyes, *Morrowseer* is *hands down* the *greatest villain in Wings Of Fire.*
Whereas some villains like *Scarlet, Burn, and Chameleon* are *crazy for chaos* and other villains like *Blister, Darkstalker, and Wasp* are hungry for power, *Morrowseer’s goals and ambitions are much more complicated than simple evil desires.* For one thing, he wanted to restore his broken tribe to the glory it once had; get it away from the miserable volcano island without having to beg another tribe for help.

I think he is one of the best villains but not THE best. Also, HOW THE HECK DID YOU MAKE THAT COMMENT SO LONG!?

He almost convinced Tui to let him live. He has so much power he can manipulate real people.

@wait, seriously!?!grantbourg4772
And for what it’s worth…
I hope he found peace in the end.
👏
Honestly I love an entirely pathetic villain. Chameleon is so utterly pathetic it’s laughable. (Also I headcanon that he is brachycephalic because a dragon with a pug face makes me laugh)
You know the creative thought of morrowseer being the big bad villain and making up that fake prophecy is really unsettling and really creative for first four books is great plot twist.
His greatest moment was when he told Queen Scarlet "there, we have solved your icewing problem!" So he set up huge part of the second arc too.
Agreed , we started off thinking he was good , then we realized he was bad then found he faked everything and becomes pure evil

Albatross and Arctic, to be very honest, feel more like a result of their very poor birth places (not because of the place itself, but the dragons surrounding).

@@hyzmarie what yall know about amon from avatar TLOK
I totally agree :)
Same
He’s still ultimately responsible for everything he did and doesn’t have an excuse, no one really does.

MY mother. MY world.’
He makes light of Clearsight’s anger and hurt from when he enchants the earrings to keep her from worrying. You SHOULD want me to fix you.”
He manipulates Moon into releasing him, trying to make himself look all humble and noble.
Anybody who wants to keep their spinal cord wouldn’t want to be friends with him.
@@monkeylicker7179 I’d like to keep my sanity, if I even have any left.
(If I'm remembering that all right, it's been a minute.)
Thank any draconic gods out there it was reversible.
Darkstalker is definitely a skeevy mess, though. No denying that.
@@lapraslazuli270 Be that as it may, but Arctic didn’t deserve DISEMBOWELMENT of all things.
I’m immensely disappointed Snowflake and Snowfox made it so high
Also Wasp Eclipsing Blister despite barely being on screen for a book is a crime all onto itself

In conclusion, CHAMELEON NEEDS A LEGENDS OR WINGLET BOOK AND PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO ON HIM
Ok, I agree with where you put the false Queens but grandure was the original rainwing Queen before glory and I believe is an advisor to the Queen herself, she also is related to Glory and made her Queen after she found out, so the rest are villains but grandure is like that nice grandma lol.
because of tundra and narwhal i’m now quite curious of what would happen on a WoF parental figures tier list, like, there’s a lot, and very few are actually good, and it would be interesting to see who everyone hates the most
WE NEED A WOF PARENT RATE LIST
I would put JMA to his wof children 10/10
@@Vinesofwingsofire lmao yesss
@@yepyepmhm Thanks!
@@yepyepmhm YES. I love Katydid so much she’s 100% underrated. Solid mom! Awesome to Cricket!
@@thelostjadedragonet338 No idea hahahaha
I don’t think Snowfox is Diamond’s daughter. I’m not sure what the relation is though.
Here's a big jumble of thoughts I had during this video (don't click "Read more" unless you want to scroll for a while):
Queen Scarlet: I've seen some people complain about how one-dimensional she is, but I ADORE villains who are evil just for the sake of being evil.
When I was little, this guy scared the living SHIT out of me; He's such a good villain 😭
Edit: Just fixed some spelling and grammar mistakes.
And I haven't read Deserter yet, so I don't know where Tui takes Burn's character in that book 🤷
And yeah, I guess it would be neat if Wasp had more interesting motivations or was involved with the lore a bit more (whenever the books explore the roots of the Breath of Evil, Wasp is usually just... kind of mentioned, sometimes). But honestly?? I could settle for Wasp's backstory being that she's a jerk lmao. I just wish she did more from there...
Never knew I wanted to see someone call Darkstalker the J.D. of wings of fire so bad till now
What's your opinion on a Morrowseer redemption au where he starts out as a small, weak NightWing who is unnamed and transforms into Morrowseer through Queen Battlewinner's animus magic (just in this au she has magic) with no memory of his past life and is "adopted" as Prince Morrowseer by Queen Battlewinner and becomes Greatness' "brother"? First part of the au takes place before Arc 1 (first paragraph).
Morrowseer is also saved from the volcano by Starflight and slowly regains his memory throughout the next book and possibly in the Arc 2 of this au. (Currently in early developmental stages, subject to change).
Very exciting!
So, speaking of sunny hatred, I got a wings of fire blanket, and it had every protagonist from every arc except the third.. except for sunny. And no, they had enough space. You know how I know? THEY PUT ANEMONE INSTEAD! Blatant sunny hatred, my happy little bean getting left out
That's actually hilarious lmao. Imagine putting Anemone on a hero blanket over Sunny😂
WHAT
No. NO!
With the false Dragonets, Fatespeaker is the one on this list who’s NOT a villain
Hi JMA love your videos I haven't read Darkstalker yet but he seems to have a cool background
I was sad and relieved at the same time when Kinkajou killed him by turning him into Peacemaker
Here, I have something for you!
*Me pulling out two cards*
What is the difference between this picture and this picture?
*They show polluting the ocean*
*They also show whirlpool*
Me: They're the same picture.
“I don’t think I’ve ever loved a villain as much as I did Darkstalker.”

"but he's just a sad wittle uwu boi who thought he was doing the right thing 🥺" - darkstalker apologists

Scarlet, is and will ever be ICONIC
I was mildly offended when burn landed in C
Me too 😭 I can't believe characters like Chameleon and Vulture scored better than her.
This isn’t even a video that involves quibli but I bet he will rank in S tier
He is the truest S tier hahaha
If he somehow became a villain he would be the best.
I LOVE Your tier list videos!
I have something to say that will probably start a riot in the comment section:
Wasp is overrated.
Queen Sequoia and Hawthorn poisoned Wasp with TBoE but Wasp chose to abuse the plant.

"YOU CANNOT TOUCH OUR HAPPY LITTLE BEAN ANG GET AWAY WITH IT!"
i feel like the icewing ranking system is really toxic. i’m pretty sure the reason why winter’s parents sacrificed him was because of the ranks and if they gave that up they could’ve been killed (i think) and it makes the icewings think that their useless if they aren’t in a certain rank
Hahaha, I do plan on making a "Coral sucks" video at some point
@@JadeMountainArchive OM GOSH YES. *cough* Gill was so much better
@@JadeMountainArchive yep. Hey does your sona actually attend Jade Mountain? As a student? A teacher? I NEED BACKSTORY
I think the reason Morrowseer got such a low rating is because most of us forget he even exists, and to me, he was just some random dragon causing misery to the dragonets for no apparent reason (keep in mind I started this series when I was young so I didn’t understand all of it)
Lol I love how you used king zog from disenchantment as heath that's so funny. Plus can you make something like this but a protagonist list
Someday!
I like the Warriors Reference. I’m not a huge fan of Sandstorm, but she’s alright. Onestar is my fav.
I always imagined hawthorn with a bill cipher voice
I didn’t know you are a warriors fan! Sandstorm was my fav for a while lol
WC is like my all time favorite series
@@JadeMountainArchive same! It’s about time I reread the series tbh tho lol
What ever happened to your ship teirlist? I can't find it anywhere on youtube. Also, luv your vids btw.
I like how you used Zog from Disenchantment as Heath. I thought that was kinda funny.
tbh Queen Scarlet gives me queen of hearts energy
