Agreed. It would be so helpful but I want to actually get some growth going before I start investing money in like a green screen and stream decks and stuff.
You can still use it for art and other stuff that not gaming.
Just remember. Streamlabs OBS has a feature that turns your phone into a Streamdeck. Lol

Great Video as always! Wish I had known these were coming out before because my desk is cramped! I bought the stream deck and took months to set it up because of travel and other personal things. I'm shocked at how convenient and well integrated it is. This is a smart way to bring more people into the market by lowering the price. The ability to nest additional commands into folders really makes the number of buttons much easier. Being able to combine actions and adding an additional key press is still an insane upgrade.

I know this is 10 months old, but you can have folders, so if each button is a folder, it is basically 30 buttons (5 buttons per folder, + a go back button)

Just built 3 multi-action keys. One for going live on XBOX, one for PC, and one for ending stream. My end stream is set to play music and will auto stop streaming when the music ends. Thinking of more ways to do it but so far I LOVE the stream deck lol
This looks great for a podcast/vlog... Perfect amount of buttons for a non-streaming craft video or vlog. Any chance you can do a video showing how to setup multiple cameras?
for me i think it'll be worth it, i used to have the XL but regrettably sold it, the XL sells for 210 roughly around the place, and the mini is sold at 100, pretty cheap to get it again.
I know you basically can get the same experience with the mini one, but I still wanna buy the XL one

It's meant to make things more simple, including for people with advanced streams.
I would like one since I have that intermission screen in between game switches etc. Although right now it doesn't matter but for the future.
I hope ElGato has some kind of deal with you man,... you complete sold me the streamdeck.

Sick setup man. I think the full version is by far the better value, the mini may only be great if that's all you can afford maybe? But I still think saving the extra dollary-doos to buy the full size one is the best move. Great video!

You helped me most with a tutorial on how to make Spotify and Snip interact on the stream, with scrolling text & song request through Nightbot's Auto DJ
well, I was having issues the other night, and come to find out, when I log into Nightbot, there is this message in the AutoDJ
"Unfortunately Spotify has discontinued the RPC api we were using to control Spotify, so support for it has been removed. Due to licensing issues it's unlikely Spotify integration will return."
people were able to song request like so, "!sr eagles hotel california" and it worked perfectly, but not anymore...
I was able to open Spotify on my laptop, and it was able to be opened on my Xbox One. I was able to request music from my pc, and it would play through my Xbox One, into my headset, and the chat in my stream could hear it as well, while Snip interacted with Spotify. Everyone and everything was functioning perfectly until this Spotify issue..
Now, I am trying to find a NEW way to let people & myself !sr music, that we BOTH can hear, while Snip or any of the Apps I have downloaded, will recognize it and display the track information on my overlay
I need help! I WILL PAY FOR YOUR TIME . LOL . No kidding.... I have beeen beating my head against a wall...
Also, when people request music through UA-cam, how do I make it to where they can here it in the stream, but I cant?

Very good review! I like the idea of having illuminated custom buttons instead of having to jot my macros down and alt Tab all the time. Sure there are other ways to the same things, but why not use a tool to help you streamline your tasks? Having a singular tool that would allow streamers to stream/ post/ adjust volume etc without taking away anytime from your gameplay is amazing! My only concern at the moment is I would have thought the price would be at least 1/2 of the original, but I suppose Elgato is banking on a wave of impulse buyers. Lets see how long it takes for the price to drop, but I have to be honest...i'm probably gonna buy it "at a high price" haha!

Thanks for the video. If I would consider getting a stream deck I would probably go for the 15 key version but I like that the mini is less in your face versions and takes up less desk space. Great vid and good luck with full time youtube. Is there a link to the 15 key version I could use that would give you a small cut from amazon.de if I buy it there?
I definitely don't need 15 keys, so this seems perfect. Just going to wait for a sale though, because this doesn't seam to have enough of a price difference from the standard deck.

One thing you should mention is the stream deck only works on windows 10 64-bit.

I notice a lot of icons for on off functionality. Can you set a button so that as you press it, the icon changes to show you when it is on or off? (Press button, icon changes to ON. Press again, icon changes to OFF)

Hello! Is there a way to change the output? I have a theatre production and I'm hoping to use a projector instead of broadcasting a live stream.
Can you map key board actions in the Stream Deck? I.e. in game save/quit/resume? I do a lot of Borderlands farming and it's a pain to have to hit the escape key, then mouse down to the quit selection, then press enter to accept save & quit, then mouse up to select "resume". I'd like to be able to all of this with the push of one button. Do-able?
