Kane Parsons (aka Kane Pixels in UA-cam) is famous for his another video project, the Backrooms (not anime-related though). Those are found footage style Sci-Fi horror clips that made with VFX. You may check them out too. The independent movie production company A24 has currently joined him making a Backrooms movie. The most crazy thing is, Kane was only 17 when he made those backrooms and AOT clips. I think he would be one of the most famous young directors in the next decade.

the best thing about AoT is that it's literally an alternate history, the countries have different names for obvious reasons, but you can pretty much figure out which is which

You got traumatized by the events in AoT, believe me. You'll feel very sick and want to threw up if you read the details of Nanking massacre, in fact the other name of the event is Nanking R*pe. With all due respect, the brutality in AoT are absolute horrendous and traumatic. But it just tiny fraction, and it ain't even 10% compare to what happened and happening in the real world. And neglecting the historic events that very important and say it so called boring sounds pretty dumb

Real history is actually interesting. Not the bullshit lies they teach in schools. Both isayama and togashi got inspired from real history. That is why isayama was forced to change his ending last minute. And that is why togashi is stalling hxh ending so hard. They are being blackmailed.
