As always, great In-Depth Look, Mike! The Hyundai Accent sure did get quite the rejuvenation for the 2018 model year. The interior has a lot more of a classy and upscale look (especially for its class). Also, the new Accent undeniably fits in with the rest of the current crop of modern Hyundai products... As far as design language goes. It actually sort of reminds me of the newly mid-cyle refreshed 2018 Sonata (from the exterior) mixed with the newly introduced for 2017 Elantra (from the interior). I am also impressed by how cavernous the trunk and interior cabin appears to be. Keep up the incredible work, Mike! I'll definetly have to conduct a review of the new Accent and its newly introduced cousin (the 2018 Kia Rio).
Finaly the accent! Great job on another great review Mike! And btw the accent is my favourite car so im very happy to see that you made a video about one :)
My wife's the same - she's in love with her solaris (that's what it's called here in russia), and she's been offered more luxurious, more technologically advanced cars. hell, even the ATV i bought her cost twice more than her huyndai and yet she refuses to abandon it!
FK GAMES / Hyundai Dashcam 2012, has about 140000km (87000miles) on it. surprisingly, the biggest issue she had with it so far happened last month - the exhaust catalyst died.
Great review as always Mike! This seems like a really good little car, looks nice too. As a former owner of a Scion iA/Toyota Yaris iA (excellent little car) this Accent looks to give that a run for its money, for sure. The subcompact segment is doing great these days.
Jaja Channel I asked him the same question a while ago, he said that mazda didn't allow him to review their cars, which is a bummer because I only watch his videos for cars. And the honda hatchback and Mazda hatchback were the reviews I was waiting for.
Man this little 1.6 L GDI engine screams when you put 93 shell into it I did a cold air intake deleted the muffler and put a perf cat... I smoked a civic other day... The key to its speed is its power to weight ratio which is best in class it only weighs 2500 lb it is $138 horsepower and a 6 speed
Hyundai and Kia are great cars. Kia was ranked # 3 on Consumer Reports reliability report for 2018. There are differences with Hyundai and KIa though. Kia is more sporty and a little nicer actually. My brother bought a new Kia Forte and it is a very nice vehicle.
Michael X What are you living under a rock? Hyundai is nothing like how it used to be. Theyre really in a class of their own and really revamped their lineup big time.
I would never buy one of these pieces of crap ever again. Been driving an accent for 8 years and it is nothing but a money pit. They had to put three transmissions in the thing, and since warranty ran out, I have replaces two alternators, a starter, catalytic converter, and pretty much every sensor in it. These parts are very hard to find, and cost three to four times that of the same parts as a domestic. Speaking of the warranty? Looks great on paper, until you actually need to use it. Hyundai will do damn near anything to get out of it, going as far as to LOSE maintenance records, or claiming you imported the vehicle from another country. Stay away from Hyundai/Kia if you really want to avoid one of the biggest headaches that you will ever have.
Mike Wow I own 2 accents and have had terrific service from Hyundai and my cars have both been problem free. I had a rock between the rear bumper fascia and the styrofoam underneath and they took out the rock at no charge and provided Genesis loaner car. These little cars get 42 MPG and no maintenance issues or problems in 5 years. I’ve referred friends who love theirs as well. I’m sorry you have had terrible experience at every turn.
My dad has an accent and it is absolutely flawless and it even used to be a rental. It’s a 2016 so it is a vast improvement over the earlier ones. You either had a lemon or didn’t take care of your car. We also have had great service from our dealer. It also depends on the dealer. Some are crap, some are good. Sorry you had a bad experience but Hyundai doesn’t suck anymore like they used to. Great cars!
If you've been driving it for 8 years, then that's from two generations ago. To be fair, that generation WAS widely considered to be a rather substandard car, although you appear to have had a particularly unfortunate experience. The 2012-17 generation was huge leap forward, and this new generation looks even nicer.
Verry Good thanks you from algeria

You made a Hyundai Accent review enjoyable . That’s saying something !

As always great video Mike
Looks even better than my Accent, and it's a 2015!
Love that prop hand
WE LOVE IT WE HAD IT AS A RENTAL
I love them switch blade keys! My motorcycle had one.
They should have made those for the new Elantra.
Does drive mode button activate eco light on the dashboard? I saw the shadow but on the dash but you never turned it on
Gracias por el vídeo lo esperaba con ansia este vehículo

Did that i miss and hit the button and the alarm went off
Great video Mike can you try to do the new Mazda 6
If you brought a roller bag as airlines permit for demonstration purposes it would improve understanding the luggage capacity. Thank you, from Texas
Is Hyundai Accent sold in the USA? If so, since when?
sarp sarp yes they do since 1995.
Hey, those fuel door and boot release handles are exactly the same as on my '01 Accent. I guess some things are traditional, haha
Please do a Mazda 3 GT Hatchback White interior.

Ultra Vile Ultra Vile
Disappointing. I guess that’s why we don’t see much Mazda on UA-cam.
Indeed, he puts a lot of effort and time in his videos.
Hey you got a nice pointing device
My uncle is 6.2 and can fit in there and we rented a 2016 accent no
Nice car mike

I love your yellow hand stylus lmao
Looks gross in base trim the other looked better in front
No moonroof and power driver seat, for that price should be standard..
First!
Sorry. Nice video. But. It’s still a Hyundai. I remember the Hyundai Pony from the 80’s, once burned; well, you know the rest. Take care.
Michael X

Michael X You're using a product from the 1980's to evaluate the company in 2018?

Lies lies! Seems like you are a domestic brand butt hurt trying to persuade people from buying foreign brands.
I don’t own a Hyundai Accent but I do own a 2014 Kia Sorento lx and it is an amazing car, I have had no problems with it, maybe you had a lemon car
