Thank you very much for the part number! Even after replacing it, the message didn't go away. I'm so fed up with dealing with this (over a year) so I took the new sensor back out, slammed it all the way down, and taped it in place. I connected it back to the wire, tossed it in the compartment, and covered the hole where it belongs. I don't think these stupid switches can stand up to the door closing over time. Now my van thinks the door is forever closed. I have the passenger model, so I'm well aware of when the damn door is or isn't closed.
Oh my God finally a freaking fix mine doesn’t say a jar though mine doesn’t register as open closed. Thank you so much for this video. I finally figured what the issue was and that it does in fact not work and is broken. I couldn’t find a picture of it online and what it should look like in mine had popped out completely and just registers at constantly door closed
I’m confused by the “Door Ajar” message. I’ve been on this planet long enough to know that a door is not a jar. A jar is a jar. Message should read “Door not closed” or something similar. Remember to find something to laugh at every day. There’s humor even in a bad joke!
Mine on my 2018 transit 250 the interior lights stay on indefinitely with the rear doors open it will not time out like it used to do you think if I replace that switch it might solve my problem?
Hey love your stuff. And appreciate you Wondering if you could do a video on 2019 and above soft break pedal, found a video on UA-cam but would like to hear your take on this and if you know of a fix Thanks
And actually it comes down to how you take care of your vehicle especially these commercial vehicles that people are in and out of and multiple drivers drive that don't give a s*** about them and just trash them this is what happens
I have a 2017 Ford connect m-sport and my radio-sat nav display keeps playing up. Keeps saying invalid sd memory card so sat won’t work, and It Also won’t connect to Bluetooth either 😩
You're going to have to get the accessory protocol interface module probably checked out it's going to have to be diagnosed there's no easy answer I don't have one for you right now
@@FordBossMe I appreciate your reply bud, I’ll pop it to my local Ford garage and get it checked over. It’s strange because it worked fine last week, now nothing 🤣 poxy motors. Great channel by the way man. Keep up with the content
Weird how they just don't make these out of stronger materials, I'm a courier with a 2022 custom so I open and close the doors over 150 times a day, it's just snapped off completely! And it looks like ford have decided to stick them in with adhesive to make this job a lot more fun now 🤔
After trying the tape and shim trick, I found this video. This is a great video.

I fixed it long before anybody left a message it just takes a little bit of time to update you just have to be patient
Lol
You beat me to the punch!
They love you if they give you a hard time.
Omg lol. I say the same thing all the time.
No it's not a jar it's a damn door.
It isn't closed. Or the latch is lazy. Lol.
Do you to.remove inside panel or can do from outside as have kitchen fitted on inside cant get to without a.major issue

Nice easy fix. 🙂🐶🐕
I remember when they were super simple and screwed in from the outside.

My drivers tail light won’t work but brake and turn signal works lol help out if you know
I need to see it, sometimes when you replace burnt out bulbs you have to clear codes in the computer
3 year old vehicle shouldn't have a rotten switch like that, i hope this was under warranty
Not under warranty Bumper to Bumper is only 36,000 miles three years it's not covered past that this vehicle has 52,000 miles
