My favorite gospel Matthew 25.
What you do for the least you do for me.I pity those with wealth who put their stock in this world and themselves They're in for a rude awakening. Thank you Matthew. Love these lectures.
My wife and I did prison ministry through our Catholic parish for many years until Covid hit. The inmates were always so appreciative of our presence. While we were prohibited from giving homilies, ( and rightly so!) after the Communion service we did answer basic questions about our beautiful Catholic faith. We always felt we benefitted more from the ministry than the inmates. I haven't been able to return as I still am recovering from bone marrow cancer treatment ( praise God as my doctor's tell me I am cured). If any of you have this ministry in your parish I urge you to be join that ministry. If your parish does not have a prison ministry, see about getting one started. One of our Deacons is in charge of ours. We visit two youth and one adult facilities.
Jesus I pray you will help me be better at helping those less fortunate than me. Help me to be better aware of those who need me my help.
Just watched the movie Unplanned. I hear Jesus calling me in this teaching to act for the those who don't even have a voice to ask for food or drink or a coat, the unborn.
Through daily prayer and actions my I always be prepared.
Beautifully said as usual. I really like the analogies of the wedding and baby’s arrival. And you are absolutely right. My 94 year old father is at the end of life. He was a lay minister for the Lutheran church, a prison chaplain etc. he was also a raging alcoholic when I was young. But God helped him to turn his life around and he spent the rest of it working for him. I am proud of him for that. Since I have come from out of town to help care for him, my prayer life has suffered. I usually read my Magnificat each morning, say my personal prayers and the rosary before beginning my day. I haven’t done that since arriving. I will get part in but not all. And what if Jesus arrives? Will I be ready. I can only hope that I am. I do pray throughout the day for people, various happenings such as war. But I am so far from perfect. Aren’t we all?
Just wget many people, including myself need to hear. Love tge beattitudes! Need to pray for them more as well as for grace and courage to seek others out. Defiantly a challenge to really, as another commenter said, "put your self out there" to help others!
Thank you so much, Mathew, so encouraging
Thank you Matthew. I listen to these every morning. When my husband and I encounter someone asking for help at an intersection, we started a while back having granola bars. However, before we put them in the glove compartment, I look up encouraging verses of scripture, write it down, and tape it around the granola bar before giving it out. That way they are being fed in body and soul. God bless you, those in need, and those of us called to help those in need! 🙏🕊
Love that.
I also staple a card with the phone number for St. Vincent DePaul to the granola bar.
Lord, remove the fear of 'not having enough' when I give of my means to the least of your children. Send the Holy Spirit to guide my generous spirit to give even more. Amen.
The beatitudes should be my roadmap for my life. I pray daily to see the face of Jesus in everyone I encounter.
Love that.
I have always believed that the people who are the most difficult to love are the people who need our love the most. Your talk today reminded me of this. It is not easy, but is what we need to do. I really enjoy seeing your children at the beginning and end of each episode. I am sure they are easy to love!
Thank you
"To lovingly seek them out," I think, says it all. So easy for me to donate money, food, clothing--just a rearrangement of my goods-- but much harder to put myself out there on the line.
That sentence really hit home for me, too - I need to do this more, a lot more.
Great insight. Thanks for sharing with the community Mary.
You are so right, Mary!
Four year ago when I was in my early 70's I joined the Society of St. Vincent DePaul. It was one of the best things I have ever done. It took me out of my comfort zone and enabled me to help people in need. There are many organizations you can join that do good work. Joining an organization gives you structure and guidance in doing this type of work. God bless
Thank you so much for this message. I’ve heard it time and time again but you said it the best! I’m enjoying your videos so much. First thing I do in the morning. God Bless You! ❤️
Beautifully done! Thank you!
Great and reflective lesson! When we begrudgingly serve, this is not from our hearts. I have learned since I have stopped working full time that serving is what I'm called to do. Calling parishioners who are homebound prior to taking Jesus to them sparks the most beautiful conversations. Just listening to them is what they need. Serving in my community is one the best versions of myself - it now comes from my heart. Blessed are those who are called to serve and from the heart.
As someone with bipolar and epilepsy, I am one of the least. I’ve been on disability my whole life and without the Christian ethos in this country I would not have a story to share. Mine is a story of Christ’s love for His people. We are all wounded and have been “the least” at points in our lives. Others show up to be their best selves for us at those very points. This is God’s plan and Jesus’s teaching. So that together we can even each other out.
Indeed. Thanks for sharing with the community.
I became emotional hearing the video when thinking that Jesus is in each of us. I loved the reminder that people from across all walks of life are PEOPLE who we can and should show love and compassion. I just purchased the book of Difficult teachings. I want to reread, ponder and DO what is right and become the person God wants me to be! This is yet another great reminder of how important it is that we help others.
Delighted the message is resonating with you Alice.
Thank you for the reminder, I get busy with my own life and forget about others.
Thanks for sharing with the community.
Soooo important.
Thank you for this incredible video. Your message is so powerful and during a Bible study have read it many times this is our calling by God. I had to be taught not only to actively seek out the least of our brothers and sisters, myself among them, but to serve them with love, dignity and humility. All of these things I found extremely difficult. I was raised that you keep everything you have to yourself. My first 50 years were ruled by that erroneous premise and I was miserable. My best friend and I both active Catholics in our Church, started a charity to do this amazing work to serve God by serving our neighbors in need. Our charity’s name is For the Love of Good. I am so grateful for your message and his example to do to for the least of these as God has done for us. God bless you and your beloved family always.
Powerful. Thanks for sharing with the community.
every time I watch your videos , I am encouraged to be a better version if myself. thank you for what you do. generosity is was a great choice for this Lent. you make everything make perfect sense!
Very welcome Ellen, I'm delighted this series is inspiring you! Hope you will share the message with many.

Speaking of sharing, I share your books! My friends and family love them! Keep writing!
My husband and I live in Florida and here there are a lot of homeless. I guess, because the weather rarely gets to the point of freezing. There's a whole lot of pandering and almost every week we someone with a sign saying "will work for food". I used to look away and pretend that I didn't see them, primarily because there have been articles about how some actually do this for a living and get in their nice car at the end of the day and go to their home. Over the last couple of years, something changed in us. We now actually anticipate that we will see someone in need and are prepared to help them however we can. This Parable just hits home to me and make me more eager to do something for the least of my brethren. Thank you Matthew for reinforcing this attitude and mindset!! May God richly bless you!!
Thanks Cheri for sharing with the community.
Thank you for this. I carry water in my car for the homeless I pass at an intersection while driving and it can at times allow for conversation. Most of the time they just want to be noticed, nothing more
Powerful.
Everyday we can do more than yesterday. Every day God gives us the opportunity to be better than the day before.
Powerful reminder.
Honestly, this video could've been for both "Difficult Teachings" and the "Generosity Habit". I admit it is hard for me to always do something for the least. I know I can always be more generous. Pray that I can do as much as I can with whatever circumstances and resources I have. Thank you, Matthew. God Bless. - Juls
I believe Jesus when He says that this is an actual event that will take place in our futures, very sobering. Holy Spirit, please , please , let us be faithful sheep and do as we should.
Don't just tend to them as they cross your path, but lovingly seek them out! I need to do more of that!
Delighted this resonated with you. Hope you will share with many.
I know how hard it is to be one of the least. Some people get by on even less than I do; yet, I want so much out of life. I should always remember not to be ungrateful for my parents for allowing me to live with them still even though I’ve been quite emotional at times about my wants, needs, and demands that they change to suit me.
Thank you Matthew and Beautiful Family 🙏🙏🙏
Powerful message 🙌🏼 Thank you Matthew for reminding us to be mindful of how we can minister to our brothers and sisters
You are very welcome. Delighted is resonated with you, hope you will share with many!
Thank you Matthew, for sharing the gospel.
I need to keep trying to find ways to be generous.
Thanks for sharing with the community. Here's some video inspiration for generosity: ua-cam.com/play/PLgCGT7nNXGY6DYoO-VqtYQNN4NSTfRUMK.html
Beautiful - thank you! Lots to think about today.
Welcome.
I know this may sound so strange but in the just realized that spiritually speaking I have been hungry, thirsty, naked, sick and in prison. I try to go to him but the classroom of silence always has other thing creeping in my head (squirrel), kids, work... While I 100% know that physically speaking I need to feed, give to drink, cloth, visit the sick and in prison more then I do now (Mother Teresa I am not) I need to include these practices and mercies on myself too. I tend to beat myself up for missing the mark. I neglect that I too was made in his image and likenss. I'll keep trying to improve that's a definite! THANK YOU for your great reflections I never know how they will hit me! :)
Thanks for sharing with the community.
Oh my Matt and family this teaching truly is terrifying, and challenging, empowering life giving, we can be so caught up with ourselves we don't see the Lord in front of us, as St mother Teresa Calcutta you did it to me to the Lord. Lord help us to seek those in the margins and to love those we have avoided. Have a great day 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Thank you for all uou do for God’s children! May Jesus and His Blessed Mother protect and bless you, your family, and staff of Dynamic Catholic!
Thanks.
Thank you Matthew.
Welcome.
I watch these videos every morning. I am inspired by the words of Christ. I am working on recognizing the 'least' of our community. Thank you for these daily inspirations.
I need frequent reminders of this teaching. Thank you for the full narrative, Matthew.
I am finding these reflections so helpful and uplifting. Thank you.
Thank you for reminding me to seek out people suffering more
the teaching should read "blessed are the marginalized.......for they teach us to be the best of ourselves....or the worst within ourselves!!!!!!" That is why he stated the poor and the marginalized we would have with us always ...because that is our "roadmap to the kingdom....for "There but for the grace of God go ourselves!!!"
This video has slapped me in the face , at first I scored me a 7 with the generosity video after the difficult teachings my score went down 🥺, I can do better
This Lent I am struggling with my decision to stop sending money to my 35 year old daughter. I hear, "give" but thousands of my dollars over more than 10 years have made no difference in her choices. Her 3 year old twins are now with Protective Services. I am unable to take anyone in. Jesus bring about the change only You can bring. Blessed Virgin be the mother she truly needs.
Thank you for giving her a mother's love.
@@gaylewestfahl4741 that means the world. Thank you so much.
That must be heartbreaking for you. I am so sorry for your situation. Continue to pray for your daughter's redemption.
@@frannyleyden7988 Thank you so much. I am learning to focus my prayers more every day
This reading is one I consistently reflect on and pray that I open my eyes more clearly to honor the request
Good idea to pray for clarity and discernment on this. I have asked God to make me abundantly aware (ie a harder tap!) when there is a person of need in my sphere that I can help somehow - even a smile! God Bless!
Can not find the talk for today, April 1 - the latest one I see is March 31 - is this an April Fool joke?
Matthew, Thank you so much for these thought provoking videos. And seeing your children brings a smile to my face each time. I plan to become an Ambassador today.
I’m delighted this series is inspiring you Marianne. Thanks for all your love and support.
