George Younce’s Final Appearance

- This is the last time George Younce ever made a public appearance. He made a surprise appearance at this Gaither taping. This was at the Gund Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. He came out singing “This Ole House”, 20,000 people there that night went crazy as his bass voice rumbled the arena.
George was the best bass singer to ever sing. In this video, you can tell his voice is a little weak, due to being on dialysis 3 times a week. He also had heart issues. But those issues didn’t stop him from giving it his all.
This was on Saturday, September 18, 2004. He did a benefit concert with Ernie Haase and Signature Sound, along with Bill and Gloria Gaither just a month before this last appearance, on August 19, 2004.
Thank you, George for dedicating your life to gospel music.

My Grampa died in Akron, OH in 2015 i'm sure he got to hear George sing on several occasions, but I'm glad to see this video.

Aww he reminds me of my grandpa. He passed one month shy of his 80th birthday back in 2002. I miss him. I imagine him and George singing and dancing together with Jesus. Along with my other grandparents, parents and sister. Heaven seems to have more loved ones than earth does but that’s one reassuring hope that we have. Some day, we won’t need this old house no more. I hit 40 this weekend. I often feel like I’m hitting 80.
