and if you pay attention in 1:26 there're 7 boys( maybe BTS) and a girl who give him some kind of key. I read somewhere that the stone near the key is symbol of king means they(6 members and the girl) gave him the throne maybe and just maybe the girl represent ARMY like boy with love MV!!!

I am Korean and this was the best explanation about Daechiwta out there. The reference on the King Gwanghae and Crown prince Sado from Joseon Dynasty was really well explained. When Yoongi wrote the words, Gwanghae and Rice chest, he definitely had the King Gwanghae and crown prince Sado in his mind. This was a very complicated story line, inspired by historical events and back stories of both King Gwanghae and Crown prince Sado in Joseon Dynasty and I can see Yoongi somehow identified himself as both characters.

I have a theory that the king represents the older version of the 'old' Agust D - mainly based off the hair because if oyu look at the Agust D mv, he has blonde hair. The black haired yoongi in this mv is the 'present' and reminding the 'older' agust d the struggles he went through to become a king and not to become too egotistical

@Raya Yes. You are right. I re-watched MV shooting sketch 00:46 Yoongi was telling " Four years ago Agust D became King. Now other Agust D confronting him " King is past.
And the old Yoongi-Suga just wanted fame and success but now he knows he can't forget who he really and what's in his heart.
There are so many things that I never would have noticed like the necklace Yoongi was wearing 👀. All the research, connections, and especially your attention to details your subscriber count should be 2-3x more than what it is.
You always bring up so many things I didn't know or haven't considered. For this MV, I had a lot of thoughts about it that are similar to some of what you discussed. When you're at the top, someone new will eventually come to destroy and replace you. Unless you come for yourself, destroy yourself, and reinvent yourself. It follows the themes of BTS in general - the shadow (boss) confronts the persona (king) and the cycle continues. Yoongi addresses the haters, freeloaders, etc but they are not the ones that will defeat or affect him. By doing this, he emphasizes that the important battles are fought within and with the mutual support of those that support you.

I wanted to post my comment Sunday night but it was really late over here. These are just my observations while I watched the mv for the first time without pausing. I don’t know why but I always naturally been able to see all the little details in art, films, or music videos. (I actually did see Jin and Jungkook in the background lol)
The second time I wanted to know what he was saying and watched it with subtitles.
Where to begin with this mv. The visuals and the melody are so amazing. Melodically, the traditional instruments in the Daechwita mv reminded me of Hip Hop Phile, Idol, DDAENG, and UGH. In Hip Hop Phile, the part when Yoongi raps, the instrument sounds like a Taepyeongso flute which is also in the Daechwita mv. Taepyeongso is a Korean double-reed wind instrument in the shawm/oboe family. I thought it sounded a bit like an Oboe and a reed flute/Turkish instrument. The loud and piercing sound it produces is mostly used in Korean folk music and in marching bands, also performed for royalty in the genre known as Daechwita. It’s used in other genres as well, such as ritualistic music and neo-traditional/fusion music. In the Daechwita mv, this instrument is used where it actually blended in with the rest of the music really well and sounded great.
Everything about the camera angles/transitions, the natural lighting, Yoongi, and his rapping is amazing. He is visually stunning during that sword dance scene, especially at 3:39 in the mv. I still can’t believe he practiced for the sword dancing for only two days. The part when he looks up from under the conical hat/straw or bamboo rice hat; I felt like I’ve seen that image somewhere. (At 0:36 in the mv.) I was thinking while watching the mv, ‘why does that look so familiar?’ It’s that weird feeling of deja vu again. Also, the butcher was shown a lot, and Yoongi was looking at him while walking through town; at first, it was odd and I kind of wondered why. Now I know the butcher/executioner and Yoongi had a pact from the beginning.
Parts of the mv it seems like he’s talking about his inner struggles. We already know he has a lot of struggles which he talks about. And the scenes with the king sound like he’s bragging and also grateful, I don’t how to describe it. I actually thought he was talking about himself, like his false ego. I think it’s that false ego that helped you survive difficult parts of your childhood and find acceptance and belonging, but it can't give you a life of deep meaning. A deeply meaningful and vital life requires the re-birthing of your true self. I thought maybe he feels like a part of him is missing. In a way, he’s taking out his false ego in the ending scene.
I don’t understand why people are saying he has three different parts of him such as Yoongi, Suga, and Agust D. Even with the personas people see him as it’s a bit odd to think about because all I see is Yoongi as himself. This is all Yoongi, these are all things he feels, his shadows, and he uses music to get all these thoughts out. It seems like he wants to be known as himself, as just Yoongi who loves producing, hip hop/rap, and music in general.
I know Yoongi likes the interior design and stuff like that, so it’s really cool that the music video has Korean architecture. Korean architecture is a lot more different than Chinese or Japanese architecture. I’ve studied architecture on both the Chinese and the Japanese ones back in college. I wanted to know more about architecture in Korea and I found this video on the Joseon Dynasty Palaces. The red key and the jade keychain: I am not sure if anyone mentioned this already, but so far, I have only watched DKDKTV and Bookish Theories and none have mentioned it. The two reminds me of an emperor's jade seal, applied with red ink, is the source of the Emperor's authority. Whoever has the seal has the authority over an empire. (Still commonly used today for ordinary folks to use as a signature, and commonly used historically also in Japan and China, although it has lost its legal mandate in today's Westernised modern societies).
I am Korean this is the most correct & accurate explanation of the historical background of Daechwita I've seen so far. This is a better explanation than dkdktv in my opinion.
