As for '' BTS has elevated to a level where they don't even care about human TRASH!'' hahaha I'm dying, so much emotion. Yeah, people need to chill and stop being envious of celebrities doing well for themselves honestly. Fetch your own life man...
Agreed for every fandom. Toxic people who are angry all the time are the reason why fans in any fandom are labeled as “dramatic fangirls-fanboys/stans” or “toxic” etc. People just need to stop getting jealous or envious of celebrities and excusing it as anger because they are redefining what actual anger looks like, whether they know it or not.
I feel like this applies perfectly right now especially since it's black lives matter and people on twitter are instead taking out their anger and boredom on 'cancelling' random celebrities rather than doing anything important or helpful
@Estela Lopez i understand where you're coming from! that's why i agree with the message of the song also. people should absolutely be held accountable for their actions. if something like that did happen then it would make sense to protest and make sure that person is held accountable! if i was unclear in my original comment, i meant that the bad thing was unnecessary cancelling. just for an example comments made in the past that the person has apologized for and genuinely has taken steps to change. in those cases i think it's inappropriate to immediately 'cancel' them and it's unhealthy and ineffective. but in serious cases these people should not be let off the hook!
and not to forget, most critically, the act of either encouraging and/or directly stealing from, murdering, and destroying the property of people who have absolutely nothing to do with the apparent issues they claim to protest about in multiple cities for weeks. I go UGH
I live for how well this track reflects all of their rapping styles like we have suga spitting fire, rm having an intellectual argument, and jhope sympathizing with you
Suga: The dragon RM: The philosopher J-hope: The empath We can easily make a fantasy world-built story in here with armies being the travellers from a far land who recieve the esoteric message of these advocates
Some bts songs just comes to back fire the reality of their future, one song i wouldn't forgot is MIC drop, they just sang they bagged many awards, but so far they only won few awards from MMA, MAMA, GDA, and BBMA. And then MIC Drop released, bruh, they literally bagged those multiple awards by the end of the year whil performing MIC Drop
Aayushi Hiray oh yeah cause I am a C army located in hk and hk is one of the few parts in China that do not have firewall to prevent access to UA-cam , google etc 😂
I honestly hate it when someone asks “why can’t people just leave celebrities and idols alone and like stop criticising them or body shaming or mobbing them” then people would say “that’s the cost of being famous, if they don’t want to be followed, have their lives be in danger or get hate, don’t be an idol then.” Like how selfish can people get?? I understand that people have their own opinions, but don’t get it confused with straight up hating and mockery. It really pisses me off.
yeah it‘s the stupidest argument... a lot of people even got famous not because they chase fame but cause they just pursued things they loved like music, dancing, acting, writing... they‘re just living their life like us and those idiots tell them to throw away their life if they don‘t want the negative effects of fame -.-
Me and my friend was just talking about this after Sulli death. I said the question and my friend say the same response. I tell her that Sulli has been in industry, since she was 10. Like how she would know what she getting herself into? 2004 the internet was a toddler and kpop was still developing(that era was 1st generation of kpop still going on). Kpop artists never had a voice that time to tell what was going on behind the curtains.
I should make my friends watch these because every time I try to explain to them how great and artistic and just awesome BTS is, they just think I'm crazy. Maybe their beauty got me interested in 2017, but trust I never left and here we are 4 years later because of how intelligent, talented, hardworking they are. Every single song of theirs is thought out so well and has an impact on society.AMAZING!
Damn, you just said what I explain to my friends... I got into kpop in 2015 and the only group I still listen to on a daily basis is BTS. No hate to the others, they are really entertaining, I just connect with bts and they always challenge my brain!
@@parampreet7005 BTS ARE LIKE THE DUST OF MY FEET. I HATE THEM SOO MUCH. THEIR LYRICS ARE CRAP, NOT DEEP. I HAVE HEARD WAY MORE DEEPER THINGS THAN THIS. THE THINGS SAID IN THIS RAP ARE ALL ERRONEOUS AND FALSE. AND NOBODY CAN CHANGE MY MIND.
Never get tired of learning about BTS' lyrics. They're genius. While writing this, a thing my mom used to tell me popped into my head: Use your gifts to help the world. Pretty much what BTS are doing, in a way. And thank youuu for help army and non-army to understand the boys better.
I'm new to this channel, but even in just the few videos i've seen, they seem to mention having gotten "canceled" a lot in the past. Likely over things that aren't actually a big deal. I know i would feel that way if i was a UA-camr or big musician or anyone with a big following who deals with that kind of hate.

I feel like DESTROYING THINGS with my AWESOME POWER. Anyway yeah it's a great song.

@@ria6968 Oh, yes, I sounded like a fun-killer, sorry for that. I only wanted to say there is a fine line between enjoyment and addiction. Even alcohol seems good as enjoyment, but as an addiction, no. You surely know , fans do weird things. They collect every minute detail about their favourite stars from various sources- TV, magazines, gossip columns. What they eat, what are their preferences etc. The trouble is - most of those informations are either made- up or completely unnecessary. The fans fill their mind with this garbage. It is not about enjoying music / art , it is about believing a story , the more spectacular, the better. But the whole world sells stories these days. The more you get immersed in these stories, the more twisted be your vision. The result will be, to put it simply, shift of focus from reality, week mental health. People realize these things, when they grow up. If you call this enjoyment, no problem. But know that there is a very fine line between enjoyment and addiction. Are you a fan of K-pop ? Who is your Bias ?
Seriously. This song is again so brilliantly put together. Also thank you so much for your explanation. Just heard this sentence today and I hope you'll remember it as well: "Why do you care about what people say who know nothing about you? Why do you not listen to the people who love you?" I hope and pray the voices of the people who love you will always be louder than the haters. Purple you!!
This made me love the song even more. I also feel like they’re not just talking about haters, but really just anyone who’s being an ass or angry about useless things and hurting people because of it. This song is made for whoever feels triggered by what they’re saying.
since bts are always so outspoken about mental health i thought about this song being slightly related to the tragic incidents of last year as well, thanks for confirming it
This is one of the most well thought out and precise explanations ever. This is the kind of explanation this song deserves. Thank you so much for your hard work!
ALL THESE MISDIRECTED HATE: Suddenly remembering all those so called “armys” who “call-out” bts for being rich. They call out bts and bighit for the price of all their products. They keep on saying no one deserves to be as rich as they are no matter hard working they may be. Like go figure. The price of all the products are like that because of so many people who worked just for that item you got. Countless hours spent on perfecting the products to cater to what every fan needs and wants. Like as simple as a small photocard, bts, crew and staff had to spend months looking for a venue, preparing props and outfits, make-up, taking pictures, all that done in weeks just to take pictures. And after those pics were taken they were edited there’s also the process of printing and packing of the small photocard. I’m not even talking about bts hardwork on each song yet and how much effort is put and how many people is needed to put all of that out in perfect condition and not just like any other half-baked music you see in pop rn. Add to the consideration that BTS make it a point to have a portion of their earning per album be put to charity/foundation. How each member and the group as a whole donate their own hard-earned money for charity as well. BTS DESERVES EVERY COIN THEY GET. PERIODT.
Those ppl don't understand marketing. The more in demand the product is the higher the price range as well as everything you just listed contributes to the cost value of the item. Basic 8th grade Economics and business studies really.
I AGREE WITH THIS I HOPE MANY PEOPLE WHOSE ALWAYS COMPLAINING BIGHIT ABOUT THE PRICE, SAW AND READ THIS IF IM NOT BROKE I STILL BUY EVEN ITS EXPENSIVE BCS I WANT AND YOUR RIGHT THEY WORK SO HARD FOR EVERYTHING MERCH, ALBUMS ETC, THAT THEY ARE RELEASING BCS MANY PEOPLE PUT SOO MUCH EFFORT BEHIND THOSE PRODUCTS.
About jhope's verse "without anger, I guess no one can survive" maybe mixing up with the translation I had already in mind, my interpretation or what I drew from it was more like there is people that literally need rage, or has needed rage to survive. Specially historically marginalized groups like Poc, lgbtiqa+, women, disabled people, etc. People who need that rage to survive, to protest against oppressive systems and finally gain the right to live in peace (in some countries that fight is still going and that rage is necessary so we can live). As stated on previous and next verses, rap line acknowledges rage as a positive emotion that can make people move and change the world for the better sometimes, when used correctly. Instead, people use that emotion in the worse way and cause even death. When rage is misused, it harms, but sometimes it can be a driving force, the fuel for you to speak yourself. (I want to apologize in advance if I there is any wording that came out as weird, english is not my first language and idk the correct vocabulary about this topic, feel free to be angry haha and correct me if I made some mistake)
Florecila B. I think you can see it that way. Maybe he made so it had a double meaning. Mocking haters/people who misused it and also talking about the fact it was needed for humans/groups to survive by using it in a good way.
Florecila B. I agree with you completely. He did talk about revolutionary and historical anger resulting in positive changes. He didn’t go into detail like you did, but I’m pretty sure that’s also what he was implying. At least that’s what I got from it.

The fact that they do their thang like this after 7 years, after so much fame, makes me love them more. Wish that they stay like this forever. May time never change them :'(
I feel like at this point they r beyond pointing out on every hater out there...I feel like they have matured and have gone beyond just dissing haters. More of a psychological, indepth pov of what haters go thru. Which for me is really fresh. I'd say they have gotten more harsh coz u need to be a little sensitive and smart to see what bts is explaining which makes me feel like they r laughing at haters...which is worse than dissing them imo
The 'human trash' at the end made my day. That's exactly what I think about such keyboard warriors. Excellent commentary! ^^ The song itself is such an ingenious masterpiece that it makes one speechless.

Who does it like BTS? seriously, this just hits the spot and is SOOOO genius. I love that they use their voice for such important topics and not tell us that something is yummy *ahem*
Thank you very much for explaining these things to us foreigners/non korean speakers. I‘m so glad that more people such as us foreigners finally get to discover rapline/ bts‘s real message and talent behind their songs. I really gotta agree to that one person on twitter who said that listening to bts songs is like visiting a luxury restaurant but reading the lyrics is like actually trying out the menus. (Not sure if I quoted that right) I‘ve literally gotten used to always having english subtitles and translation, that I forget that there‘s actually someone taking his time for the people not speaking his language and translating it. So many people and me included are taking it for granted...So thank you!
I knew David would come through with a bomb ass explanation of all the small nuances and wordplays that I couldn't pick up just by reading through lyric translations
Bts just matures every time and doesn't use negativity to the word of rage which is a negative word itself. They understand the emotion of rage is important for us to let out our inner frustration.... this rage doesn't belongs to the community that takes advantage and kills and bullies other people be that celebrity or even a normal people.
Love watching your videos and the knowledge shared about BTS songs. As an American I would miss so much of the meaning and the brilliance of BTS. In fact learning more about the lyrics and the cultural and historical context drew me ever closer to the members. RESPECT.
I was waiting for this for so long because the translated lyrics all sounded so off, so I'm glad you translated them properly. And not only did we get a proper translation, but yet again those references that us non koreans just can't understand. Thank you so much for this explanation and for making it clear once again just how genius they are

A lot has happened in 2019 I think rap line made this as a message to haters
i really hope the toxic side of our fandom listens to this song VERY CLOSELY.
Say it louder for the ones in the back!
only our fandom?
Other fandoms as well. In fact this type of deconstructive anger is everywhere nowadays
They would not. If they are smart enough to understand this, then they won't be haters. They are just too dumb 🙄🙄
This is so true
and not to forget, most critically, the act of either encouraging and/or directly stealing from, murdering, and destroying the property of people who have absolutely nothing to do with the apparent issues they claim to protest about in multiple cities for weeks. I go UGH

After the controversy of BTS in China, this song makes even more sense. “Truth become lies. Lies become truth.”

Word. People have lack of empathy and understand these days unfortunately.
yeah it‘s the stupidest argument... a lot of people even got famous not because they chase fame but cause they just pursued things they loved like music, dancing, acting, writing... they‘re just living their life like us and those idiots tell them to throw away their life if they don‘t want the negative effects of fame -.-
CelestialMelody for real, a celebrity becomes one because they are passionate about their art and not to become people’s anger punchingball...
According to those people, once you become famous, you lose your right to be treated with respect and no longer are human. smh
Once again, BTS’ songs and lyrics make me love them even more. They’re giving out messages.

That's a good idea. I should force my sister to watch these, also. I've tried to explain it but I'm really bad at it.
Damn, you just said what I explain to my friends... I got into kpop in 2015 and the only group I still listen to on a daily basis is BTS.

I'm new to this channel, but even in just the few videos i've seen, they seem to mention having gotten "canceled" a lot in the past. Likely over things that aren't actually a big deal. You can tell he personally relates, even if on a smaller level than BTS, to the songs message. I know i would feel that way if i was a UA-camr or big musician or anyone with a big following who deals with that kind of hate.

Suddenly remembering all those so called “armys” who “call-out” bts for being rich.
Also, cost of products are higher if the item is imported. I understand this and love BTS I'm just broke.
I want all the people who complain about the ticketing price for MOTS7: ON:E concert to read this!!!! UGH!!
Ahhhmennn
That’s also what i thought glad others agree
Florecila B. I agree with you completely. He did talk about revolutionary and historical anger resulting in positive changes. He didn’t go into detail like you did, but I’m pretty sure that’s also what he was implying. At least that’s what I got from it.
