EverQuest 72-Boxing Unrest: A Low Level Raid On Tough Mobs

- This is a local install of EQ Emulator where I have assembled a raid team of 72 characters. I've decided to invade Unrest at low level and take on some tough mobs while having almost no gear and terrible combat skills.
These characters were created a short time ago and aren't wearing any equipment outside their newbie weapons.
This iteration will go through content a bit slower, but I plan to spend more time working out issues that my 54-box team couldn't complete.
The MacroQuest macro library, e3, was used to create the scripts that control these characters, which can be found on Project EverQuest's forums.

I bought this computer a few years ago. When building it out (It's an Alienware), I specifically said to myself that this computer, above all else, must be able to run 72 EverQuest clients. I knew back then that this would become a reality eventually. It was not until this year that I had time to attempt what I'm doing now
I’d be cool to eventually do 72. My computer out of the box is doing ok (ie. not crashing) with 54. Adding 32 ram this week to bring me up to 48. Don’t know if that’ll make a big difference but tbh I’m surprised it’s not crashing. Actually am in unrest at lvl 14 right now on them. Ty for these videos.

how fun, good try! i love a good wipe too though, got your butt kicked lol. i'd start up a server but still doing project quarm atm, i'll fire it up again some day. will keep watching your videos.
I was so convinced that despite the initial few deaths, that hag was going down. Then all of a sudden she did a massive AOE, killed half the raid, and regenned. So funny
@@EverQuestBoxRaids yeah, your casters were getting some dmg in but it was the non-magical weapons that did you in. Fun fight though!
Hey Dave. If you only have classic enabled. The character disconnect based on there class since that zone isn’t available in classic. Had the same thing happen to be on my iksar, I see you vahshir camped out when it died as well. I found by binding those characters in the arena it fixed the problem.
Do you ever have a problem summoning mobs? Sometimes I’ll be targeting a named mob in let’s say lower Guk and it won’t let me Gm summon him.
Ah yes, the Arena is a good place to bind. It's also a good place to train all of your character's defensive skills (have a pet attack them). I will make a video on this eventually.
GM Summon and GM Kill seems to have a range limit. You may need to get closer to the mob to do the summon. One thing you can do is run to the mob, pull it, then summon your puller back to the raid, though you will definitely pull a train doing this
@@EverQuestBoxRaids I tried to do the pull zone command before and died lol with the old raid group did you ever do more of sleepers?
I got stuck on the Ancients. They were too hard at the time. I will take another stab at Sleepers with the 72-box crew once I make it back to Velious
