  • A quick review of the Garmin Xero C1Pro Chronograph
If maksmanship matters to you, you want to know some things about your bullets, a most important factor is how fast it's going.
We get ballistic data for each student in every class with long guns. Smaller stuff packs easier when on the road.
Here is my thoughts on this data gathering device.

I have something like 3,000 rounds of .223 through my AR. Most were at 100 yards. The furthest were from 200 yards. I took Mickey's 3 day class last weekend. I got 4 rounds in a row inside of 4" at 420 yards. I even dinged steel at 520 yards a couple times. It was a great step forward for me. Thanks Mickey!

Love mine, got it after doing a lot of research. Mainly use it to chrono my competition loads for USPSA. I think what took me so long to get a chrono was the set up of one of the lager chrono’s seemed like a major hassle. The garmin took that out of the picture.

Modern cartridges are said to be smokeless. You need better exhaust ventilation for your indoor range. Either that or you need to get fitted for a respirator. Breathing in enough of that smoke and lead will shorten your joyful life.

I've seen some good results building a box with lighting inside. Research that

Do a lot of reloading and use a Caldwell chrono. Yeah this is nice but pretty steep...

i love my Xero! it was a hard pill to swallow at first being $599, but it's worth every penny. I had some custom foam made from RangePanda's website for my mini pelican case. its great!

Anyone compare Garmin Xero C1Pro with a Labradar unit? Curious on results since Labradar is $150 cheaper.

Tons of comparisons out there. I'll do one. In my opinion, the Garmin is 10x better. Easier, lighter, faster, more useful information, etc

Except YOUR barrel length, rifling cut, twist rate, and atmospheric conditions are totally different than what’s on the box.

You know that is the speed out of a test barrel in a factory and not your firearm, right?
