Not relevant to this problem but 722.9 control modules scare me a bit. I repaired one with failed turbine speed sensors. I think this is quite difficult repair! (or maybe my skill level make it difficult not sure) I nearly destroyed the plastic conductor plate/ecu removing the speed sensor! But I got it fixed in the end and it shift good again..... These control units inside the transmission can cause massive problem. Puts me off buying 6.3 powered mercedes with that trans. I much prefer the 722.6 even if it shift slower. If I ever have to do one again I just send it to 722.9 conductor plate specialist and wear the high cost!
Hi Tasos,so the m156 has engine oil thermostat,so the only way to get a accurate oil level check is to do it when the engine warm? Im getting inconsistent oil levels and thought of this..
+James Zimmerman hi, the best way to check any fluid level is when the engine is at the operation temperature. Keep in mind that the all m156 engines has oil level sensor and if it's missing 1lt of oil it's coming message on the instrument cluster.
