As the very proud mom of one of these pilots... I can’t thank you enough for this video. It has brought my husband i great joy as we watch over and over again!!!!
Here is an invite to a Facebook group for the airport which is made up of spotters including myself, feel free to join and if you or your son would like some photos of his aircraft let us know and we can arrange that! facebook.com/groups/316781882329482/?ref=share
Great aircraft, is not as lethal as a turbojet fighter, but it is more lethal and faster than an attack helicopters ... it flies faster, higher, further, for longer and with more weapons than an Apache for example ... and it is much more cheap to keep them on missions for 7 to 8 hours on the battlefield without refueling.
That's true, although the Apache is better in some ways, like VTOL etc this is a good option for smaller militaries. Can double up as a trainer, for a much cheaper price. Although the Apache will most likely carry more advanced weapons and higher payloads, I think the tucanos are good all round aircraft. Thanks for watching!
They were on a delivery flight, flew from America to Iceland, then to Prestwick before going down to Nice I believe. Were flown by American pilots using a temporary registration!
The DO 328 is owned by a company who specialises in aircraft ferry support I believe. America is helping Afghanistan to build its military by training pilots and helping to delivery aircraft to them.

Made in Brazil for United States ;)
I doubt a german-markings Do 328 would have anything to do with a brazilian aircraft, paid by the US, and flying to Afghanistan…
