    Just replaced the power wire from battery to the under hood fuse block because corrosion had wicked down the cable and was causing an increase in resistance causing a firing issue. Mine is a 95.

      @@EllweinEngines that would be awesome...No forum or UA-cam channel speaks of this: I'm currently tuning my Stock 96 LT1 Vette with the JET DST. Garrett Tuning got me started with the WOT parts of the tuning. They are an awesome GM tuner out of Ohio. Great customer service. I discovered many things about the 96 Vette. One of which the transmission pressure completely holds the keys to all of the torque in this car. For example, if you boost pressure in the WOT main line tables to 120psi, rework the force motor table current as Garrett did for me and most importantly reworking the FM Press Offset VS TPS VS Gear table unleashes torque like you would not believe. I can only guess the FM Press Offset table is the Torque Management for this car so I only took 75% leaving the 25% for protection. The car hauls A$$ now, it's insane. With my timing at 3 degrees advance on the top with 2 on the bottom driving Garretts WOT tune? It's a TORQUE MONSTER!

      @@EllweinEngines You can also retrieve AFR Error tables for closed loop tuning?, Because mayority of people said that HPTuners didn't support the obd2 lt1's.

    Hey!! It’s me again! I finally got the the JET DST! Would you be willing to make a step by step tutorial on how to disable EGR, A.I.R, and adjust fans? That would be a tremendous help for some of us novice folks 😂

    Hey I have a stock bottom end with stock heads but a 528/536 lift with 1.6 rockers and 218/224 duration cam. Accidentally bought a 110 lobe separation cam but ive beenn running it for a while and just recently put larger injectors on. Now im remapping the PE tables and adjusting spark. Any general ideas on idle, cruise, and WOT timing? Asking Karl or anyone with experience on a similar setup. I figure good spark guidelines will help me A LOT. Thanks in advance.

      idle area 25* cruise keep near stock, for WOT I go conservative unless race gas used. 32 deg max at peak torque and then you can go 34 for 6000 rpm and higher. But if pump gas stay 30 deg at wot.

      I'm in Maryland. There is a really good tuner named Tad Benzuello (last name spelling?) in SoCal and he goes by TunedByTad Google him. He's one of the best.

    Great video, I wanted to ask if you could please tell me if you are using the MPVI 2 to tune the lt1 pcm?

      No not the HPTuners for “tuning”. Just for monitoring and data logging. I have to use JETDst for LT1 1996 and the better TunerPro for 1995 1994 (for dash tuning)

    I was reading on a forum someone says they add 2* until they hear clatter/knock then back off is that a good way to find max timing? My lt1 is bone stock besides longtube headers and a p600b would adjusting any timing in the tables benefit my setup any? Im looking to get some 1.6 rr's to install soon aswell.

      That is one way to do it. I think that if it is bone stock then a tiny bit more timing can help but remember anytime we mess with spark timing we risk going in to rattle/knock and hurting the engine. I like to just adjust timing for wide open throttle and find where it makes the most power and leave it there (subtracting 1 or 2 deg from that). You can tell on the street the "most" power by checking mass air flow (which run showed best peak air flow). At the drag strip of course it is best mile per hour at the trap/finish-line.

    How did you get the HP data logging? Im currently getting the JET tuner off of summit but i need to find a good data logging program that would work

      HP Tuners just plugs in and recognizes the OBD2 LT1. Not a lot of data get's logged but it is nice to have the wide band and the little bit of data.

    I have a 1996 z28/SS, currently trying to activate fans on at an earlier temp without a switch (don’t want to repeat my old techniques with my older 4gens back in the day) do you have any tips on how I can go in a quick just activate and change the low and high fan temp activation. Tracking this is obd2 now and not the 1.5

      Do you see the fan settings in Jet DST? Some versions don't have it. Is that what you are using?

    HP tuners says they cannot tune 96-97 LT1 camaro PCM. How are you doing this? It is a tq head? I have a stock everything 97 camaro 5.7l I need a tuner. JET doesnt work.

      I use JET DST if LT1 PCM 1996-1997. It is not user friendly but that’s all there is to use.

      It can be plugged into any intake vacuum port or even the valve cover PCV port.
