Now this is what Western music should sound like. Simple, expansive and great story telling.

I found him yesterday. I can listen to him all day. My two favorite I have come across at this point (beside cowpoke) are his acoustic cover of Blue Snake Mountain on the "Paste Magazine" youtube channel and his cover of "Bob Fudge" he does in the middle of the pasture haha.
    He's simply amazing.

He does not only have a deep and distinct voice, but it is also very melodic. One in a lifetime. Great song as well.

My favorite singer/ song writers, Colter Wall and Benjamin Tod
Colter is genuine and Benjamin is honest. With a ten ton load of talent. Check out “ballad of a law abiding sophisticate “ another great song.

Coulter is my music all day. He draws one into the world of his story songs
    Try Bob Fudge, true account.

Coulter isn't actually Country. He's a traditional Cowboy ballads singer, more like Marty Robbins. The genre is just called Western but he is obviously influenced by the Blues. Great review, thanks for covering a great Canadian artist!

    Casper Allen - Hollywood, TX
One of the best song writers out there right now in this scene. He can really paint a picture with his music. I think you’d like him!

GemsOnVHS has a some John R Miller too. If you want some more good raw country and awesome song writing, check him out. The one I recommend reacting to is on the LR Baggs channel. It’s John R Miller - Faustina

The entire UK is 93,000 square miles......the state of Nebraska, that is all Great Plains prairie......the entire state is flat prairie......the single state of Nebraska is 78,000 square miles. Not trying to be an ass, I'm just wondering......
Does that ever click for my friends across the pond? All of Europe is the size of like 9 states........the sheer size of USA is mind boggling.....I could spend 10 years before I hit every sight in my own state of Nebraska......the sheer size of the US is lost on people until they visit I feel.
Here in Nebraska we view ourselves as Plainsmen. This beautiful lush, flat landscape is what we love. 6 hours of driving to cover 1000 miles is nothing to us. It even blows my mind when I'm driving that it would take me longer to cover every road in Nebraska than it would to drive every road in the UK.
I'm not disparaging the UK. As an American, you guys are our closest relatives and our favorite people.....
I'm just saying the sheer size and distance disparity is amazing. And I mean amazing in the way I mean fascinating.
My friends that came to visit from Manchester couldn't comprehend the size of a single state, even after 3 days of driving around.
Bottom line, I love you limey bastards ❤

his vocals make him folk. country music is stapled in reality. True voice..true stories. his voice is very manufactured and he's trying very hard to sound that way. it's folk.

Here in Saskatchewan where Colter is from its 251000 sq miles and only 1.2 mil 3:39 population but over 160000 miles of roads Half of it is all open skies prairies. A very rural province. Just givin you a different perspective bud.

Great stuff, man. I know you've done some Jason Isbell, so I'd suggest "Songs that She Sang in the Shower"
