How to communicate with mai ntainer, is there will be a single maintainer for whole organization or different maintainers for different projects
Hey , i need advice , i am in 2nd year , i know a little html , css ,little bit of java , basics of python and little bit of android but now i also feel interested to learn javascript , i want to contribute to open source but i dont know anything enough so that i can contribute to open source , i have tried many times but even goodfirstissues seem tough , also is there enough time for me to first learn js from starting then start contributing ??

Do we need to do this after GSOC registration? The deadline for GSOC contributors for 2024 is 2 April
when you said its better to start contributing to projects before they even announce the projects like do we need to contribute to the projects we WISH to work on or some existing projects?, if it is the projects that we WISH to work on how do we identify those projects because I came across some organizations in which I would like to contribute but I didnt find their 2024 projects...

A humble request to clarify me regarding the application for contribution. You said the list of companies participating is not exposed for 2024. So, what should I do... should I start contributing them privately i.e., apart from gsoc and then write proposal to the corresponding project manager, which will lead me to get into contributing to gsoc 2024 ??? and the mail you showed received from gsoc... isn't that something that says that you are allowed to contribute or you got that once gsoc 2024 ends stating you are a gsocer
You should look for organizations that have participated in the previous years (check GSoC archive) and shortlist a few that frequently participate with the hopes that they'll participate again in 2024.
You can find links to their repositories on the website and start contributing.
Once the organizations are officially announced, you can check if the ones you shortlisted are participating or not. If no, then you unfortunately need to change projects.
Most probably no one will stop you from contributing regardless of the program. Everything is publicaly available. It's open source and they're looking for new contributors.
The mails in the video are official acceptance and passing final evaluation mails.
