At Sugar Labs, we've participated as a mentoring organization in GSoC every year since 2009 except 2011 and 2012. We've mentored one hundred contributors over these years. For the most part, this video is accurate. However, we would like to add three things: 0) find a project that you sincerely **enjoy**; 1) **use** the software (don't just look at the code); 2) and **work together** with other prospective contributors toward solutions. As for this last one, we at Sugar Labs are emphasizing more than ever toward 2025. We want to see contributors working together toward solutions, not just competing against one another.

@harkirat It would be so great if you make individual roadmap videos for these four stacks. I wanna go with Python but don't know what to do after learning the basic syntax. What differentiates 'python for AI' with 'Python for development'. As a beginner, what would be better for us to choose and how to get started and which resources would you suggest us to refer to...please make a video on this. Most of us here are students from 'not very good colleges' whose seniors don't help with anything. We need beginner friendly tips please!
