I like doing it with the a4 as well. Since the noise source has its own A/D envelope you can use it to create a psuedo impulse to ping the filters and set the amp release to infinite. Added fun of using osc1 set to feedback to create interesting textures
Very nice! I love doing this on the Syntakt. (which also has an impulse machine) Quite beautiful. Sometimes the low pass works a bit better with some filters. Less controllable, but gives a bit more ring. Really beautiful plinkies! Reminds me of some old drum computers.
pinging is my fave thing to do with my Rytm...but I'm concerned upgrading to 1.70 with new calibration will change the extremely wild nature of the pinging.
