The way i decode these is to push the shackle IN against the ballbearing which pushes against the plunger inside that binds against the internal wheels. If you pull the shackle to decode in the normal way they dont bind evenly. Also SOME of this type of lock have a ballbearing the other side too so you have to decode the two right side wheels, then the two left side wheels and then the centre wheel if its a five wheel lock.
Thank you! I found this and a 3 wheel hanging up in my basement work room. I'd forgotten about them. The 3 wheel was out of the pack so it was 000. This thing I had set and forgot. I held it in my vise and pulled the shackle cause all the extra wheels were locked on it. Seems best to start on the right. Once I had 3 I knew what the last had to be. It was my initials and birth year.
Haha Brill. It looks like someone messed with the accessibility settings. MAHOOSIVE DIGITS 😂. Have you ever had a go at a Warrior CQ60 combination padlock? That monster is the only combi I'm struggling with at the moment. I don't think you'd have any trouble with it 😏. I love the way you work Locknoob. Great vid!
Well done, they are not the easiest locks to decode. Their shape and sizes makes it difficult to grip, pull and turn the wheels all at the same time. Can't say that I've ever seen ones with spare wheels.
Look at his older videos. Anything that says "and gutted" in the title means he takes it apart. Another good resource is the Lock Picking Lawyer - he also sometimes takes the lock apart.
I have to admit, it was fun watching you trying to get a good grip on that lock so you could manipulate it, and you still managed to do it well. Nice job, I would have pulled out a hammer :)
Not necessarily. Shimming works on padlocks because the bearing or hasp is held in with a spring. I think this one is held in by the locking mechanism. I'm wondering more about a bypass hook to apply the pressure more easily.
Very interesting lock!! Well done decoding it!! This next Saturday it’s Picking Time Live one year anniversary!! It would be great if you could pop in and say hi 😃 It will be at 9:00 PM your time Saturday night. 🐈⬛🐾🐈🇬🇧🍻👍
Blowtorch or pliers might work ... then it's just a matter of aligning the red dots If they are still on there 😁 Without the dots it has still 256 combinations, if every wheel has 4 nubs on it, that need to be aligned 😉
It’s fun exploring a lock for the first time. I assumed it could be decoded, but until you try, you don’t know for sure!

Ahhh, ok I’ll give that a go too
Seems like that would have been much easier if the lock was attached to something. Well done Sir.
Yes, would definitely be
Thought it was going to be a joke decoding it. Took a lot longer than I expected.
Yes, fun to explore a new lock for the first time
I would try holding the shackle with a vice so that you pull the body for pressure.
This would work better of if on a chain
nicely done Ash mate great video 👍🇬🇧😊👊😎
Hi Leon 👋🐈⬛🐾🐈🐾🍻
@@chriscapune7873 Hello chris My friend👍👍👊
Cheers Leon mate!

6 out of 10 owners, when asked, said the thief sliced through the plastic rings and made away with it in seconds.
That actually would work as you could locate the red markers…
my point exactly. 👍
I had trouble decoding one. I wouldn't trust it though since it seized in the weather.
That’s not good!

Would certainly be easier on a chain or hasp
Might have been a bit easier if ya attached it to something? Or maybe it might have made it harder to feel. Very interesting lock!
Could you please make a video on how to take locks apart because I would like to learn to this.
Thanks

@@fordsfords Thank you
Take a lighter to it and come back later lol and imagine this on a building site 😂😂 so many words!

Would have been so much easier if it was on a chain or hasp 😃
Suppose this could be shimmed open as well, fairly easily.

I might be able to drop in!
@@LockNoob awesome 😀👏👏👏
An unusual lock indeed. Reckon you could hit it with a blowtorch and melt the numbers off. Not so much fun though!

Haha nice! I just bought that lock two weeks ago and did the same steps. Great fun!
Cool!!
