@cinnamon ouch... You know, I always could predict how the author would move the story, that's why I stopped reading, but I can't predict characters deaths from him, I'll give him that.
Speaking of predictions, I think a lot of pro heroes are going to retire in the next arc.
@cinnamon and let's not forget about a ton of random heroes that survived the war or never fought in it and will go "yeah fuck this, I didn't sign up for this kinda of shit!".
Personally, I think Midnight is more of a feminist Icon then most Western Superheroes try to be. Why? Because she is genuine. There is no part of her character that feels like she is hiding something or being phony. She will always do or say whatever is on her mind. The fact she wanted to change the public perception on revealing costumes - just to have the opposite happen - and does not complain or lecture others about it puts Midnight miles ahead of characters like Captain Marvel.
I really, really liked the way she complimented Mineta when he outsmarted her, and how she was chosen to help with the hero names. Also, how she showed concern with Midoriya's well-being during the fight with Todoroki in the Sports Festival. Very rarely is a fanservice character also a well-written three-dimensional PERSON.

I personally love Midnight. There are a lot of double standards when it comes to women and men’s sexual expression. Women who act provocatively are often characterised as “evil”, while guys can be viewed as “players.” It’s great to see a character challenge those assumptions by assuming that persona, but being a hero, as well as possessing her own opinions, quirks and beliefs.
I like what you said about her assuming a persona, because that’s basically how dominatrices irl are. Perfectly normal women off the job, but the masters (well, mistresses) of their sexual element when on the job.

I really really love how Midnight used her Quirk to put frightening children to sleep in the spin-off Vigilante, and seeing her kept encouraging Kaminari during battle is also really sweet, I would love to see more of that motherly side of her

1. Your videos on "The Beauty of _____" is a youtube series I rlly like fr. They're never too long and they're never boring either and your videos either make me like characters I hated or make me like a character even more. Plus, I think this series might help me with figuring out how I want my own characters to be and how 'deep' and 'personal' I can make them.
2. I think midnight, in her own way, can be a great inspiration to female fans of the series who suffer from feeling bad about their bodies. It's not an example for little girls, but I definitely took it as Horikoshi's way of saying 'You can be allowed to love your body and dress how you like without caring about what anybody says. You're the only thing stopping yourself'.
I’m all for (safe) sexual expression. Partially in a perverted way I’ll admit, but mainly because I admire people who put a lot of effort into sex work, or just looking good in general, and the fact that society looks down on that more than things like violence pisses me off immensely.
