Merry Christmas Father James and thank you for your wonderful service to our community, God bless you and all your family and friends. 💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
A parishioners said to me recently that “it’s a funny thing but every time Jim gives a homily there’s something in it that seems to speak into my circumstances.” This homily hopefully will do exactly that for everyone who hears it. How are you and I going to be a place where Jesus can touch the earth this Christmas- in our churches, in our homes, in the grocery queues? Well done Jim, once again…..
Fr Jim This is a relevant lesson for this time of year. Reminds me of the time when I first came to Australia when some local family always invited me home for Christmas dinner. For a few hours I felt (1) my homesickness evaporate and (2) a genuine welcome to me, an alien and stranger from a Muslim country. I am so thankful that, when I abandoned my pagan past, I chose to embrace the Holy Catholic Apostolic Faith. But it’s not of my own doing for the Lord did say, “No one comes to me unless my Father draws him to Me.” In the language of most of your flock, I wish you 圣诞快乐. 黄志威 aka Reg Wong
Kind of like the prodigal son parable. Do we sneer because they haven't been regulars on Sunday? Or do we say, the important thing is you've come back. Great message, Father Jim.
