- This is an awesome wood model kit of a working space junk robot! This is the Electric Series version. There's a less expensive, manual version as well!
Where to get it:

I really like your wooden, pinball table. That’s a great way to KILL time!
I do too! I still play with that everyday. It's one of the best wood kits I ever built! 😁
It's a copyright free R2-D2. LOL
Thanks for this video! :) I recently completed this robot, and I had the same issues:the black connector and the 3 screws. Thanks for this video,I easily could fix them.Anyway,it's fun to built, and the robot works like charm!! :)
That section was really difficult to put together! I hope they eventually redesign that part to make it better. I'm glad you got yours together and working! I just love this little robot! 😁
lol I'd totally get like half way through the build and then get bored >.
Aw, it's fun to build. I don't think you'd get bored with building it.
Cool. Kinda like Woodpunk. (Which, ironically, won't run on an i3.)
I have a similar model from Ugears. Maybe they will also be on the channel, there are a lot of insanely complex models
I'll have to check them out! 😁
Hello, if i can give you an idea: maby you can ask te manufacturer of this beautifull kit, if the can send you the parts to make it ride on his own. Enjoyed it!
It's possible but I'm guessing these are only packaged for the particular version you buy whether it's the electronic version or the manual version. I think the other one runs on rubber band power and those never last long unfortunately.
I assembled the manual wind-up space robot and was unable to get the wheels/gears moving. I had to remove the top half of the robot and manually push down on part#23 to get it moving. Did you create a separate video to step by step tututorial on the manual wind up; not just the electric space robot? I’ve gone over each part and placement looks correct.
I didn't build the wind up version so I'm not sure. I had trouble with my wheels at first but then I realized I put one of the pieces to the wheel on wrong and flipped it over and then everything was fine after that. I don't have the instructions anymore so I can't remember what piece that was. Is yours working now?

Nope; I’ve sent video and pictures to Woodtrick demonstrating problem and received a short video clip on how to assemble the wind up spring mechanism which was not the issue. So I have a mechanical robot that can only move the basket to its mouth and stand there. I’m so disappointed cause I really like this robot and wanted to show to my grandkids.
@janicehobbs9522 Is any parts catching or rubbing on other parts where you can sand that area down to make it work?
No, The movement of wheels works but not the mechanism that triggers the movement and I don’t know what to do at this point so my robot just melancholy sits unable to move without my help.

He would make a nice coin bank. Maybe put a small can inside him to catch the coins. I think I would swap out the sensor for a momentary button.
That's an excellent idea! Very clever! 😁
Outsider i have really good news they fix him and they will send him this week😊😊😊
Oh that's fantastic!! I'm so glad they could repair him! 😁
I am unlucky with my emo it didn’t get on the truck to go to my house. I’m pretty sad.😢
But I can’t wait to play with him when I get him❤❤❤❤❤
I hope you get him soon! 😁

Hello I'm 3rd
Perfect!
Thank you for choice our model🤝
Thank you! I love this robot! 😍😁
I actually paused to read all 3 Robot laws and they put a smile on my face. God forbid, any of your personal robots, to go SKYNET and waste us! 🙊🙈🙉🐵🐒🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha!! I hope not! They know they have a great life here so I'm sure they'll remain good robots! 😁😄

Hahaha love the googly eyes! 🤣🤣🤣 How do you get the trash out though? Keep it upside down? Good choice picking the motorized version! Yesterday when I was cleaning my shelf one of the rubber bands of my U-gear Locomotive snapped off because it dried out 😭 some of the newer models work with metal springs as an energy method, so I guess they're aware of it😁
I love the googly eyes! 🤣 Yes you open the head and dump the trash out. That's interesting about the rubber band drying out on your locomotive. All the rubber bands on that wood turtle I built some time ago have dried out and he doesn't walk anymore. I hope they'll move away from using them in future models. They unfortunately don't last.
@@outsider238 yeah I agree! I guess it's always possible to replace the rubber bands because no pieces are glued, but that's quite a hassle and I'm afraid pieces will break off. So probably won't do that. It's still a great display piece though, wasn't playing with it anyway, and if you move it manually you can still see all the gears rotate ⚙️ 😁
@@Maikel098 Haha! Yeah I end up displaying these more than playing with them as well. 😁
You remember me right?
I do!
They fix him they will send him back this week
@@Mike_ser That's fantastic! I'm glad they were able to fix him! 😁
