- Mac User Builds Gaming PC 2021 ft. Dmitry from Hardware Canucks
So last time I did a PC build I ended up selling it because I wasn’t able to transition over from Mac to Windows, plus I honestly wasn’t playing that many games at the time. I told myself that I won’t be endeavouring any more builds but a few years later IQUNIX sent me their mini Itx ZX-1 case which absolutely crushed my own promise because it just looks stunning. Just by looking at it, I had to do another build so here we are.
Enjoy the video 👊🏻

I had so much fun participating in this video
It was an ABSOLUTE PLEASURE 🙌🏻
more of this!
Transfer the noctua fan above the fins to fit it properly, not below. In that way, that low-profile air cooler will fit perfectly. Machines and More channel has an endepth review about it.
one thing about ITX or small build is compatible with space & know what is compatible is tough. you guys didnt read the manual & i can tell that is on Page 4, 14, 18 on from motherboard Manual.
It's a "budget build" but it has one of the most expensive mobos and SSDs on the market. You could spend half as much on each and get away with nearly identical performance. A crucial P1 and a cheaper z590 mobo make a lot more sense here
The case itself is 275$, with shipping and handling (and taxes in some countries) it came in to around 400$ for me.
@@RubenKemp afaik they shipped it to him for free. Idk about the other parta
Even better, spend the mobo money on a better gpu, those vision motherboards are super expensive
Budget for him
Budget doesn´t mean cheap, just means the max ammount one has for a specific product, budgets vary from person to person.
I love the whole energy in this video. I just hope that I get this amazed when I could get parts to build mine.
Another great video, great collaboration and great build! :)
I totally get being pulled in by a cool case. I was enticed by the Fractal Design Terra!
On my Gigabyte ITX board the HD Audio was on a cable under the M.2 heatsink/IO shield, you had to undo the heat sink and remove the cable. Assume yours is the same way, read the manual…
That doesn't sound like fun...🙂

You two should collaborate more often. And do a separate post-credit vid :)
Those shots are🔥🔥🔥
the bloopers were the best parts
hahah thanks 🙂
Cringy 'reality tv' segments, hilarious outtakes. Nice video
Coming from hc. Beautiful video overall kinda triggered in component choices as others had pointed out especially the mobo as it contradicted with the budget theme. As for the noise you could get the noctua l9i and use the igp on the intel non f series or you could get 4000 ryzen apu and use the stock cooler while waiting for the next gen gpu, plus that will eliminate another source of fan noise. But, its a beautiful pc nonetheless, enjoy and be happy :)
These cases look awesome but too expensive
Best crossover ever
Did not expect this colab
They are not necessarily for now although Dmitry suggested to add at some point for even improved cooling.
this had a reality tv show vibe but with content I care to watch
Hah that was the point 😊
These builds are really complex... but the case is gorgeus.
Could replace the stock with a Noctua NH-D9L used this one funky boards that had extra tall heatsinks preventing other low profile coolers from being installed.
Original content, I like, I like!
I want to be practical and get the MasterBox NR200P... and then I see this beauty. I wonder if this IQUNIX ZX-1 is worth the headache?
damn those shots are crisp...
Thanks 😊
Im a fan of the Orange and Teal color grade. It looks very nice but not super saturated.
coming from a mac, you can likely appreciate the value of silent computing…. I was recently looking to at building a sff pc … I ended up giving up the idea when looking at value for money in the itx space.. instead I got aa trash can with 64g of ram.
You could have nudged the cooler fans of to the side a little bit. I have a l12 on a z690 aorus which is not supposed to fit this thing, but if you pull it up or down to the side a few mm's you can get it in there working
I don't really understand that it is a budget build with this case, NVME and motherboard but great video. Also, I would advise some more audiotreatment (perhaps ceiling), as voices sound a bit weird.
The case itself looks sooo gooood! I want the green one, but to be honest I'll wait for the 12th gen and whatever dell makes with it... LOL
Speaking of coolers not fitting on mITX board... I had that happen recently with my Aorus b560i and Be Quiet! pure loop. It didn't clear the ssd heatsink by 1-2mm but thankfully the cooler fit after rotating 90 degrees but now the logo is sideways haha.
Very nice
Thank you ☺️
Nice!
Little off topic but which Raybans is Dimitri wearing @1:20? Wayfarers of some sort?
I would have cut plastic notches off Noctua fans to make them fit, I've done it before.
Did you even check to see if it would fit in the case with the fan on top of the fin stack instead of underneath?
Short answer - no 🙂
Hello. What power supply did you use? What size/power ?
1:16
what the hell were you too doing underneath?... 🤨
😂
Great vidéo!! but could you look at the camera when you speak I just feels weird otherwise.
It's like your teaching your child how to ride a bike, you just want to show him so badly but you have to let me learn😅
I’m a heavy Mac user but I need a build for Blender that also still looks good, is quite, but powerful enough for quick render times and live previews.
You're probably looking at the 3000 series Nvidia cards
Love that case, went with an even more tiny K55.
That particular case is the Air Cooling version, and can support a 70mm cooler. If you want an upgrade to your CPU performance (the 11400F will keep its power limit low for the stock cooler). I'd look into the Noctua NH-L9x65 (65mm in height) or the Scythe Big Shuriken Rev 3 (70mm in height).
The Noctua sits right in the "no go zone" of the CPU socket, so doesn't come close to the RAM or IO shield. The Shuriken should fit your motherboard with the right orientation. I have the B550 Gigabyte ITX board, with a huge IO heatsink, fits like a glove.
I was about to post this. As good as the L12s is, it's compatibility with newer motherboards is spotty.
Hey Evan, thank you for sharing that. I'm thinking about doing a build like this myself. Gigabyte Z690i ddr4, 12th gen i7, RTX 3060 (two fan) all in an Iqunix ZX-1. Just wondering, what do you mean by "no go zone"?
What monitor is that in the background at 1:44? It looks quite good.
It’s 32” LG. I have a video on it.
I have the same case, but havent build it yet as parts are now scarce.. now using nr200..
Now i know i should not getting vision z590i.. now im targeting biostar valkryie v590i then..
The fact that you use the knife, put it back and then using it again 💀
I love the bts scenes E! 😆 very enjoyable video.
A simple research at the noctua site would have told you that you can use that cooler on this board if you change the position of fan from bottom to the top and the ram that you have chosen is also a very good choice and will work with that cooler on this board because noctua mentioned that this cooler can't work with the sticks more than the standard height and mentioned the exact same ram you guys used as an example for compatability.
So basically all you had to do was to change the position of the fan and you had a way more awesome cooler than the stuck intel cooler, if of course the case would have been compatible with the cooler as well.
I honestly wonder how some youtubers talk about tech all the time and yet when it comes to practice they don't even bother to do a simple research! Self explanatory for many of the unrealistic results they publish.
AoE II DE! My man!
Intel stock cpu cooler usually suck
looks like you could still use the noctua cooler if you mount the fan above the fins (i believe there's still space). I wouldn't call this build "cheap" or "budget" starting with the 300$+ case, 350$ mobo, 360$ ssd and 750$++gpu (current amazon price). The only "cheap" part in this build is the cpu. Also you bought the wrong case, i think case is for water-cooling with the space for a rad/aio on top. for now its best if you install 2 - 120mm noctua fans on top exhausting all the hot air.
It won’t fit with the Fan on top. The cooler is already 70mm and the case only allows 75mm. I believe the Ghost S1 version will work tho.
@@Witcherworks I double check the video, the noctua will still fit if the fan is above the fins not below it. And it is better to put it on top. Machines and More channel has an endepth review about it.
I just saw dmitri and immediately subbed. If he's working with him. His content is definitely good.
whos the interviewing u guys?
Iskren said he built a gaming rig before but then Dmitri is explaining things to him like a noob.
ITX builds are nice and all, but with my huge hands it is very annoying to build.
Get someone with smaller hands to assist you 😊
Why no fans at the top?
Fans on top? And if you figure out how to fix your fan curves it would be quiet on idle......
Good tip
@@ThisIsE no prob, easiest way would be in your BIOS.
not the stock cooler.... haha
nice build but you didnt show any gameplay of aoe2de
How dramatic are they making this? It's just an ITX build haha. 😂
Cool video except there are too much drama which makes it hot.
*places cpu*
*Gasp* 😂
Why they talks like an Apple CEO parody?
Is Dmitry bulgarian too?
Nope
Uh-oh you guys are dead no masks don't worry that's sarcasm glad to see faces together tell your boy Linus
The Ghost edition probably would have cleared the IO area... the fan is smaller and steps inward to give more room. And Budget build??? really?? complaining about a 60$ cooler when the case is over 200$.. far from a budget built when there are decent ITX cases well under 100$.
XD
Does this make you a Canuck?
Wrong Motherboard.
Don't buy that GPU, has to be said. It has a high minimum fan speed and with my experience.. a high frame rate capacitor whine.
budget build?...in a 260 us dollar case...hahah thats funny
