Toss the Feathers Set

Here are a set of Irish reels, the first two in minor, and then a switch to major with the third. The tunes are Toss the Feathers, The Merry Nicht Under the Tummel Brig and St. Anne's Reel. The middle tune is one that is featured on the great Irish flutist's, Kirsten Allstaff's, album of Irish flute recordings, called "Four/4." As always, I appreciate the backing tracks found in the Online Academy of Irish Music's extensive collection of tunes.
I also decided to use the piccolo in place of the whistle, on St. Anne's Reel, just for fun really. Lately, I have been playing a lot of concert flute too, and so I thought it would be interesting to throw in the piccolo for this set of Irish tunes. The trick is remember how the fingerings change between the two instruments (piccolo and whistle). This fact did lead to my needing to record the set a couple times...
