Wow,that man was so awesome! My daughter is a nurse and she got one of those sculptures as an award ,made in Africa! It was like a woman and child Ohh that next man was talented as well !How wonderful! Too bad someone doesn't buy those things and bring them to the United States! I hope you feel better soon!Hugs from Missouri USA.🤗
Loved this. I love seeing the different markets and places. Thank you so much. I would never get to see this beautiful place without your videos.
This has been a very interesting video. I have so many questions...what kind of prices do they charge for fabric? Did you buy the fabric for your wedding dress at those fabric places? How much do they charge for the coconuts? How do you get to and from the markets? Do you have to shop daily? It was wonderful to see Koree...you both smile so much brighter when you are together. Do you plan menus ahead of shopping? Are either of you fussy eaters. Is your apartment air conditioned? Thank you for this video.
@@IrenesConcierge oh no !!!! I’m from Mississippi and post menopause, I must have my air conditioner even if I have to use solar and a high efficient AC which is finally out now ❤
That man is so talented... His work is beautiful... 🙏

Gal you are now a Kisumu gal one of the local area I hope you are enjoying your life there, very simple and very easy life. The Western environment is different from Africa weather, you need a time so you can get the best or use to it. God bless you and your husband too.
In my country Jamaica we have chilled coconut water. It's good for rehydration and good for flushing your bladder.

I want one of the hand made boxes.
Have you ever had octopus before? I never did and I'm not sure I would want to try it. Well maybe one time. Lol.
I spent the first 5 years of my life in Greece. My dad was stationed there and my mom and I were able to live there with him. In most places where US servicemen are stationed there is a place to buy food called a commissary. Of course this was the late 60s/early 70s so no such service existed in Greece which meant groceries were bought in markets not that much different than the one you're at. My mom told me her landlord helped her learn how to shop there and specifically told her to only buy meat that had flies on it because that meant the meat was safe to eat. Her next bit of advice was to wash all market meat well before cooking. All of this was 50ish years ago so who knows if the same logic holds true today.
Wow that’s so interesting!🥰 thanks for sharing that memory with us! Yes washing and double washing is so important ♥️♥️
Wow Sylvia, that was a very nice video. I really like those things at the market. Is there a possibility of me ordering those things through you and selling them here in Papua New Guinea.
Unfortunately I won’t be able to do that.
@@thebichangafamily Thank you.

Tell her Sylvia says it’s not dangerous, obi mana kisumo 🥰🤗 dalawa
@@thebichangafamily thanks Sylvia we will.
Is there any way to purchase jewelry and clothing from your local stores? I’d rather give back to your community and are the dresses see-through ?
You’re so kind, unfortunately there’s not a way that I can ship these things out without hi chances of them getting stolen. Plus it would be extremely expensive.
@@thebichangafamily oh dear I just love your outfits they are beautiful like you ❤️
Is there a big price difference between the street market and the market in a building?
The one in the building is more new items instead of second hand
Question: how far to you live from the market/ town area?
From the market about 5min from town about 15min
