I have to think of Live as less of a game and more of a free comedy show just so I don't get pissed all the time. Yesterday I attacked a Pincurchin V when there was a Victini on my opponent's bench. The guy flipped 3 heads and then the game asked ME if I wanted to reflip. I did, and he got 3 tails. I lol'd, conceded the game and went to bed.
Similar to pokemon not lighting up when you can use an ability, the supporter Rihan also does not light up to prompt a legal activation even after a pokemon was knocked out to meet Rihans activation condition. So basically you just need throw it down before playing any other shiny supporter in your if you remembered you were ko'd.
I am honestly baffled that they haven't even fixed the battlepass bug yet, that stops you from accessing the battlepass after playing a game. It's incredible.
In the words of Ron Weasley from Harry Potter " someone needs to sort out their priorities" Basically it seems like the developers of Pokemon trading card game live only care about making it look good and not trying to make a functional playable card game..
1 year of PTCGL ans they still haven't fixed the bug with Battle Pass on PC, I have to restart the game after every match to check the daily quest's progress!
They could still turn this into the biggest success story of our lifetime; they just need to basically replace every single person who's even touched the pasta press they used to spit out this prototype. I do like Live a lot, but it's like a comedy of errors that just keeps getting renewed for more seasons, perpetually putting off the much-needed ending. I honestly believe that the reason they keep messing with board effects is because it's so much easier to mess around with visuals than it is to work on underlying problems, so they do the visuals to look busy.
I can barely tolerate engagement with Live long enough to get daily rewards, much less competitive play. No game logs, bugs galore, and distracting animations that induce eyestrain are going to hinder tournament viability. More like great strides towards another predatory microtransaction trash app.
Wow. Live players have the patience of saints. I only now joined in and I'm astounded at how bad a billion dollar company can manage a game ESPECIALLY when a pre-existing game has none of these issues. Thanks for the videos!
It’s hard not to be disappointed…. . The whole thing is one big disappointment. Sadly i think I’ve played about 3 games on ptcgo in the last week. This pile & knowing this is all that will be left to play has just killed the fun of playing at all.
Since the update, it seems like all daily quests are bugged for me. I got item quests, bugged, I got trigger ability quests, bugged, and I still have the level credits not depositing bug. (IE when you get to a payout from Profile levels, you may not get crystals OR credits)
I had this on second monitor and may not have heard you address it, but my FAVORITE error is the one that stops you from selecting anything and forces a timeout loss. It's very rare, but Lost Zone Box uses a million choices a turn, so I encounter it daily
For some reason I can't play with the Eternatus VMAX deck because everytime I try to search my deck it doesn't show any cards to choose from even though there should be.
I dont have that blank screen? My main issue with update is that if you turn off effects when you place a metal pokemon the sound is SOOO loud. I use headphones and it defeans me everytime.
I took a break from ptcgo late last year, just busy with life. Decided I would get back at the end of march, migrate over, figured ptcgl would have most of its shit sorted. I played on I pad, game crashes so often I haven’t been able to complete a game, let alone click to view card details, just constant crashing. I can’t even play long enough to find the bugs.
Relating to bug discoveries: I've discovered one (not sure how exactly it triggers), but there have been more than a few times where, after my opponent uses any search effect, they may randomly draw an extra card for free? No prompt of an effect, nothing? For example, quick ball discards a card, they get a basic. After they search the basic, they end up drawing another card?
This can happen if there's an effect on the board that allows them to search their discard pile and there's only one option. For example, Training Court for a single-type energy deck could do this. In other words, chances are that it's just an annoying visual glitch.
After this recent update, there’s a bug where when you click on your own prizes, they don’t appear in the second window and it bugs out showing every prize as a highlighted card, followed by the cards glitching into each other. Another I found is that any daily quest that involves playing v Pokémon never progresses, forcing you to refresh the daily goal
I'm more annoyed that there was no mention that I should have exported my collection before doing the migration. I lost all my cards in the migration because I assumed everything would automatically transferred so now I'm starting from scratch and unable to import my stuff because I never exported it. I'm not starting over from scratch so I'm not even going to give this game the time of day. I'll just play with my friends with our physical decks
Also, when trying to redeem multiple packs, either scanned or bought from in game, selecting to open all initially starts opening individually. Have to click on open all again to open as a bulk lot. This has happened every time since the last patch now.
Do you play this game on PC? I keep getting the naked body avatars, floating cards that dont allow me to play and when I search my deck for a card nothing shows up lol. Is there a way to fix this or nah? :o EDIT: Seems to happen with Eternatus deck the most
In my experience, I haven't encountered as many of lag issues, but that is because I have a high-end Pc. However, I did notice that my fan activity increased a lot while opening PTCGL. So if my PC is working a bit overtime and it is pretty pricey, then I cannot imagine people using their older phones or lower-end laptops or PCs.
@@coolyeh1017 Yea but the thing is my PC is actually on the high'ish end of things. I'm able to play Hogwarts Legacy on Ultra for example so it's pretty odd to me that it keeps bugging out on such a simple "mobile" game.
So I finally migrated my account since they are sunsetting TCGO in a few weeks. No more tournaments, all my friends are gone, all my decks are gone, no more card trading, no more weekly ladder, no more performance settings in the app nor ability to click download all assets, no more fun singleplayer challenges for beginners, the interface for building a deck is horrible, and nothing works as it's supposed to, wtf are they sunsetting TCGO when this is all they have? Are they actively trying to make people stop playing Pokemon TCG?

Cant play Live only standard Deck. When i change some cart in deck cant play. Game crash when use Quick ball cant take pokemon. Or card freeze in the air

Had a game vs Mew vmax where the player had Genesect in the active and a full bench. Attached a dte to a benched mew vmax, 3 fusion strike searches later, knowing he needed a switch, to my suprise he attached a second dte to the active for retreat. This has only occured that one time however.
My favorite part was when they thanked us for our patience and then immediately upon opening the game, the music glitched out and my battle pass dailies stopped working.
There is another bug where you sometimes can't get a specific Pokemon out of your deck by using battle vip pass, quick ball, or ultra ball. I haven't tried the other Pokemon search cards, but I wasn't able to get sobble out of my deck with battle vip pass, I was not able to get duraludon v out of my deck with quick ball, and I was not able to get arceus vstar out of my deck with ultra ball.
Getting to Level 25 on the Battle Pass before March 30th is a good idea since you get Palkia / Mew decks, but you can always try to get there with the free decks and stay on PTCGO until Scarlet & Violet comes out.
i just dont understand why this game feels so dogshit and bland with so many quality of life issues, online just feels and looks way better and i want a new game its sad

one of the things that kinda bothers me a little is that i cant play GLC or older cards before sword and shield era.
Everything about Pokemon TCGLame bothers me.

I think you can only reduce board effects on desktop.

You have to use the same account between PTCGO and PTCGL for migration.

March 30th is the expected date for Scarlet & Violet in Live, and PTCGO won't get it, so it's probably a fingers crossed situation that Live works.
