Thank you for the WIP and chat, Shay. So glad your feeling better, hope your cough doesn't linger like so many others are experiencing. Congratulations to the winners! I think May would be a great time to do this, next year. My kids are 23 and 1 month away from 21 and this is the first year I am not giving them an Easter basket. In years past, I would give them small gifts and candy for all holidays (Easter, Valentines Day, etc) and last year they told me they don't want me to do it anymore. BUT now I'm a grandma so I can just do a basket for my granddaughter this year, she will be 1 next Saturday, the 6th. Hope you have a great weekend! Don't work too hard Saturday!

I think moving your event to may would be good as for example there is an event also in my about Mandie Manzano and she has made a lot of artwork with mermaids in. So we could work on one canvas for two events 😊

Hi Shay! I am having a great day. I am off work, taking a road trip. Today I am in Oklahoma. I will be attending a concert by the acapella group Home Free tonight. Tomorrow I will be heading to Dallas for their concert there. Then back home Saturday. So fun to get away from the regular day to day routine for a little while.
So glad you are starting to feel better! May sounds good for next year, anytime is good for a good mermaid 😊. Nate should ask Katie (Diamond and Washi) if her husband has any suggestions for schools in Texas since cinematography and filming is what he does on the side. He might have some trade secrets to share 😂. Have a good Easter!
Thanks so much for doing these WIP chats. I’m so glad you’re on the mend as well. I still get my kids something for Easter. It’s no way as elaborate as when they were young. They are 26, 24 and 21, when grandchildren start to arrive I will reevaluate. I think Mermaids and Magic in May 0:00 will be a fine place. We are just here for the fun and it needs to be good for you too 😊. I was a stay at home with my last child until he was in first grade. It is a blessing to do that, but I will always have time for my kids. I really appreciate you and Alyssa doing this for everyone. Winning the Crafts with Crashley was a huge uplift to my day. ❤️💕❤️keeping everyone in my prayers

My kids are 32, 25 and 23 and they still color eggs and we do Easter baskets and egg hunts in the yard. First thing Em asked me today is, “you got an egg dying kit right?”!! I will NEVER stop doing these things!!
Weather has turned colder, we had a hint of 70s but now back to 40-50's.. Feeling good. Working on love 2 see rainbows just to get me by before events in April. Still doing Suma for the #lovellathon . I completed my kit for your event, and finished #getyourweirdon doing Hydie from DAC. I am doing 4 events in April with 3 canvases. I got a giant chocolate easter egg filled with handmade chocolates from my grandmother up until I was about 35. She just couldn't do it anymore, but gave us cash instead. My mother still gives us Valentine's presents. Protesting doesn't work as gift giving is their love language.😆
I would love for this event to be moved to May. I’m an accountant so middle of January thru April is crazy busy for me. I don’t know how Alyssa has done it lol. I have my own practice so it’s all on me and I don’t have time to touch a diamond painting
You were talking about Nate’s second choice for college was criminology, I’m pretty sure that’s what my niece graduated with several years ago, and she had a couple choices for jobs, as soon as she got out of college. One was working for the State Patrol, the other, working for the Secret Service. She’s been with the Secret Service for almost 25 years now.
May or March doesn't really make a difference for me, just glad to be able to participate to your event! Happy Easter! Will be playing the Easter Bunny and hide goodies and chocolates in the garden for my kids ☺️

Well done to all the winners. I've loved mermaids and Magic this year but not participated as much as I like but that's my bad. I didn't fill in the exit form as me and exit forms don't do well lol and I couldn't remember which email address ect I'd used. I need to Start writing things down lol.
My mum if still here would give us an easter egg she always did. When we were little it was an egg and a blow up bunny or cuddly bunny. I hope you had a lovely Easter. Hi, Shay, you can buy mattress protectors, they are water proof (doggy/kid pee proof 🐶) they don't make crinkle sounds when you move. I have them on all the beds so if the kids spill something (when they were little and potty training they were a life saver),
Also, there are flushable wipes. We use Dude Wipes 🤭🤭 I think is the brand.

I’d be fine with moving it to May. There are so many events that are in March already that it’s hard to choose which to participate in. There are less in the middle of the year.

I have good news! My CT scan of my sinuses came back clear. I don't think surgery is on the table, but I haven't had the official conversation with the doctor yet. I wouldn't be opposed to moving Mermaids and Magic to May because my birthday is in May. It gives me an excuse to go shopping for kits 🤭
My children are almost 32 and 33. They still get Easter baskets. Well now I have to mail them but even when they were at home and old are they still woke up to an Easter basket at the foot of the bed.
All my kiddos are living on their own with their partners but no grandkids yet. Unpatiently waiting lol. I do not do easter baskets anymore but what I do do is they have Amazon lists that they add their wants and needs throughout the year and I will randomaly buy stuff off their list and just send straight to them and it works great.

The way I see it, if they are under my roof, they get an Easter basket. 🐇 I make one for each of the girls and also make one for the hubby and my MIL. 😊

May would work for me, it would give me more time to find a mermaid kit that speaks to me. Lol this also my first event, and it probably won't be my last!
Not all water tastes the same. I grew up with chlorinated, fluoridated water. Ozarka doesn't taste like other spring waters. We had Ice Mountain in Nebraska, and down here in Mississippi, I prefer Deer Park, and I have to drink bottled spring water because the well water is full of sulphur, and I only like purified drinking water when it's ice cold, otherwise it tastes weird to me.

If you want to move the mermaids and Magic in May I also fine with it. Whichever works for you guys I’m ok as long as I can join the event. So far this is the only event I participated. Im about half way on my dragon, unfortunately I have had a chest infection too, and I'm now in hospital as I had a small heart attack on thursday so im in for easter and I cant do diamond art in here, but Im in good spirits and doing ok

I'm 32 and my parents still give me an easter basket, but its all amazon gift cards, household stuff, and a little candy. It ALWAYS includes a candle too though.
