i like the we bit when really its a them job lol lol come on get stuck into it yourself all this is possible on your own drive ive done it numerous times
I can imagine Ryan’s eyes watering when a plastic surgeon walks in with a project for him lol. All kidding aside, it’s coming along great! Love that colour you guys came up with. Curious if you’re going to keep the galvanized capping bare, or paint it too. I’ve always been partial to bare capping myself, but you do you. For tires, maybe consider the Falken Wildpeak AT4W. Good aggressive looking tire, great off-roader and phenomenal performance on wet roads.
Has there ever been another vehicle that comes as standard, but can be converted to owner specification quite like a Defender, and then returned to factory? Call up Jose at TD5 Alive - the guy is a magician with mapping and getting the best performance tailored to your requirements. He’ll even supply one of his hybrid turbos. But Stage One is to delete the EGR and let that engine take its first breath of clean air. If you know you know!
I think going to that extent with labour I’d be going the whole hog galv. Chassis, bulkhead and an M57 engine. Problem is with that model it’ll only ever be a 110 pickup which is possibly the least desirable defender model
Hi, Loving the videos.. Im at a very similar stage on my rebuild 2002 TD5 and now looking for a quality respray. Ryan seems a genuine and trustworthy guy,are you able to give me contact details as I don't seem to be able to find them. Many thanks
Great vid. How does the cost price plus materials and labour compare to buying a mint one? I know it’s not as fun and you would be less inclined to stamp your own colour on a mint one etc. just curious, great content btw 👍🏻
I would go for an all terrain BF’s. I go 4X4 over here in Australia and I’ll be honest, they can go everywhere. Never had an issue. I used to have muddies and to be honest, they were more expensive and shocking on wet roads

If you go for a Wolf style wheel, Tuff torque make them in a different offset, they fill the arch better without the need for spacers.. 👍

You must be talking doubling or tripling the budget for that though?!
For the tyres Goodyear wanglers might be a good look

You need to check what tyres fit on those wheels

Don’t do bfg if it’s a retro look and definitely letters inwards
Do you know the window seal supplier, as looking for some TD5 90?
