One of those head stones caught my interest. I looked up Deputy Edward A. (Bud) Morrow. He served the town of Granite for 12 years as a special deputy, and Mayor. He was the town’s caretaker beforehand. A Mother, and Daughter had a out of town guest murder him over a grudge they had against him. Bless his heart. He was only 53. I love exploring little towns. Thanks for taking us all along on your travels. Ride, and be safe! ❤️
You two are wonderful! Please keep your content coming. My wife and I are addicted to your videos. We are living vicariously through you until I can retire from the military. 👍
I think what you two are doing isn't only inspiring but just freaking cool..I've ridden alot of the country but always with limited time. Soon I'm going to retire and ride for a few years then decide where i want to settle down maybe. God bless to you both
I started watching your channel a few weeks ago. As a very veteran rider and a now veteran motorcycle instructor I was impressed by your gear choices, your riding style and my girlfriend loves watching and laughing at your banter between you two. My late wife was not a long journey rider, although she loved riding her own bike with me. This new lady in my life can't wait to ride with me anywhere. Last ride to Mt. Rainer from Oregon. She loved it. You guys have inspired her to go places we never dreamed we would. Keep up the journey and may the sun always gleam off your visors in the morning and may sun gentle settle at your backs at night. 👍😎
I lived in Hereford for about 2 weeks, in 1987, as an exchange student. I was changing families, and until the found me a better one, I stayed with the lady that worked for the program. Her and her husband lived on a farm, and had a Greek exchange student. I live in Rio, Brazil, a gigantic city, so, living on a farm, near a town of 35 people, was very different!! And fun too!! Feeding the animals at 7 in the morning, in the freezing cold, shooting coyotes, so they wouldn't eat the calves at 1 in the morning, and helping deliver a newborn calf from 4am to 6am... Experiences I would never have here, and that I'll never forget!!
What day did you go through Baker City? Our CMA chapter had a day ride over that way on Saturday, we might have crossed paths. We turned south on Hwy#245 and rode the twistys down to Unity Reservoir for a picnic lunch. Then back to Ontario....
15 miles long 188 turns. I do hope that was an over exaggeration lol. Oh my gosh so that was seriously how many turns/curves? That's crazy!! What a beautiful ride!!! Your video is so crystal clear and stable. Makes it so pleasurable to watch. Love that you're willing to take a detour to see a cool unplanned site! Too bad you had to turn around. But at least you got to have a little eats in a pretty spot. What an fun little stop you made. I love replica old towns like. I'm a bit nerdy lol. Oh gosh that original school house was cool. Think I'd pass on the two person outhouse though LOL. Old cemeteries are always an interesting visit. Haha love how you stop talking while he double checks the map. You guys are so cool!
I dropped few ghost town videos a few weeks back. I love to see old buildings, mines and machines. People forget about how nice a long awaited shower can be. I was in Iraq back in 2003 and showers were rare, so when we got one I sure enjoyed it...
"Little Dragon"? That's funny! The Tail of the Dragon, located just outside of Robbinsville, NC and starts at Deals Gap, travels 11 miles into Tennessee with 318 curves ...and they do mean curves. Still, as technical as it is, plenty of other wonderful roads throughout the Great Smoky Mountains. Another great video, I enjoy them all.
Just discovered your channel. Super inspired by your adventures. As a returning motorcyclist after a 20 year hiatus I am excited to be back in the saddle! Great to see videos of your part of the world. Subbed. 🙂
Have you guys riden the Dragon with 318 curves in 11 miles between TN and NC? Awesome ride in the East outside Knoxville/Maryville, TN. Enjoy all your stuff you publish. Big THANKS!
If you get out to the south coast we should do a video together . Lots of local content there if you want a preview. Cheers, Frank aka The big white dog in the sidecar.
@@TwoWheelsBigLife No, I was genuinely excited! Think it's unique to the higher spec SE? I picked mine up in May with 3990 miles on it so it should be good for many many more miles. Any plans to come over to Europe at all?
My guess is that DOT identified the curves (with greater than a certain number of degrees), but someone rode the highway and counted the bends with the curves and raised an awareness, so they corrected the number to include bends. A case of "I don't understand all I know".

There is sooooo much history around that dredge. It actually was able to move all through the valley by somehow making it's own pond to float in. If you noticed all those berms off the side of the roads those are what was left after the dredge did it's job and there is still gold in there because at the time it wasn't cost effective to process it. That dredge basically tore the valley to shreds and caused huge damage to the land. I been there a few times and if you get to talk to the caretakers they can fill you in about the history. Also it is alleged that one of those teams on one of those gold mining shows had one of those and were trying to get it running on the show. Don't know if they did cuz I didn't watch it all that much. OK schools out for today. Go ride :)
Increased Fees for Out-of-State Campers at Oregon State Parks In order to close a budget shortfall and to encourage campers to stay closer to home, the Oregon State Parks system has initiated a temporary surcharge for out-of-state campground reservations. The change went into effect on August 10 and will only include new reservations made after that date. Existing reservations are not affected. The surcharge adds up to 30 percent to the reservation fee. For example, RV sites with full hookups will increase from $33 to $42 a night for non-residents. The park system currently plans to keep the surcharge in place through 2020 and will be discussing whether to extend it into 2021 in hopes of closing a $22 million budget shortfall.
