Sutan is at the age to start saying bad words, making silly things, testing her parents' authority and reactions, in addition to laughing about it all. These are perfectly normal and even healthy behaviors (even if they can be a little irritating and frustrating for parents). All children around the world go through this phase.
Sutan is doing great and seems to have typical healthy behaviors for her age! Don't worry about that, ok?

Children in Canada definitely start developing this sense of "vulgar" humour at Sutan's age. Perfectly normal especially at home and school with peers, it helps them develop a sense of when it is and isn't okay to be silly ☺️

@@YAH-1if you don't speak their language, don't you dare to judge someone's name based on what it means in your language. I don't know what "sutan" mean in your language is, but i believe "sutan" has a beautiful meaning in Japanese.
For what I know, correct me if I'm mistaken, "sutan" can be interpreted as "existing in heaven" and commonly used in Kansai region, which is Moe's (kimono mom, aka sutan's mom) hometown.
It's healing seeing a mother and a daughter loving and trusting each other so much. I used to feel hurt when I saw something like this but now I feel good as if i had a mom like Moe. Still i wonder how great it would have been if i had a mom who would listen to and respected me.

Moe, your interaction with Sutan is something special. Your bond is building and those sweet moments when Sutan says 'I love you' are a testament to that. Your 'angry moments' don't seem to last very long, but long enough for Sutan to know that she has 'crossed the line. Better yet, you emphasise your love for her and that every angry moment is part of teaching her something. In time, Sutan will thank you for being firm and not letting her get her way every time.
It's adorable to watch Kimono mom have heartfelt conversations with Sutan - a luxury not every child gets to experience.

Loved Sutan since the first video. She is effervescent, the pinnacle of innocence and a pure wonder to behold. Children have limited capacity and yet unlimited imagination. Being a father and grandfather, Sutan is a dream come true, someone to marvel at, someone that brings joy into your life, and someone who inspires love. Moe and Moto to your awesome parents.
I hope there are more parents like you sitting and asking their children questions throughout their development because it's good for them. I did this with my kids a lot. My style was pop quizzes to check their development. I wanted to ensure good development. I learned this from working at a daycare.

Ah, the age of testing boundaries. I well remember this with my children. And you have to do it again and again and again. Also mom's getting angry is very normal, usually both parents can get frustrated and upset.
Sutan always makes me happy, her mother taught her to cook since she was a child, and now she is actually chopping vegetables.

I think 4-year-olds all over like toilet humor. When I was that age, I had a friend whose mom made it a rule that she could only say things like that in the bathroom. So when that friend came over, we would go in the bathroom and just say words like "butts" and "farts" for a few minutes, and then we would get bored and go back to playing. 😂

I had cancer when I was a young man and thus never had the option (or tbh the inclination) to father children. I have never really reflected on what I've been missing out on - untill I started watching these clips. I enjoy my life, my students, my work.. But I am berefth. I never really appreciated how fascinating children can be - may you both live long, and prosper :)

My family taught me about "stranger danger" when I was very little, and I started yelling it in grocery stores...especially when whoever I was with wouldn't buy me what I wanted 😳
