For me, this is the point at which you turned a corner in your Bark and Jack story. You sat in front of everyone and really opened up. I’ve come back to this video time and time again and I think this has got to be my favourite one because you talk about your relationship with a watch, only watch people understand. You chat differently compared to the other watch guys. Some of them are in this game for self gratification. You’ve gone down a better route and that’s why, I think your everyone’s go to person for a watch channel. Keep up the good work Buddy.
i wear my Hamilton khaki field for the same reason, i mean i’m 15 so having an expensive watch is pretty risky, yet people don’t know this is an expensive watch i mean it’s like £375, yet if i wore a daniel wellington or a MVMT people might catch attention as they’re recognisable, yet my watch, is so lowkey and at least double the price if not triple those watches and no one knows, its great
there’s just something about this video i love. not sure if it’s the cinematics, the passion of which you speak about the explorer, or a combination of both. but i’ve watched it, watched it again, showed it to my dad, then bought the 14270, then showed this video to my mum as well. today, it’s day 2 with my explorer, and here i am, watching this video again. hope you’re well adrian. 🙏🏼♥️
The "best" explanation I have ever heard of the connection between a man and his watch, and I have read the book. Adrian I think speaks for many of us. Back in the day, I wore a Bulova Accutron (the real one with the tuning fork) every day for nearly twenty years until it could not keep proper time. This was before the internet and I just could not find anyone to repair it. That watch was a part of me and everything I did. In describing his feelings about his Rolex Explorer, Adrian described in many ways my feelings about my Accutron. It does not matter if it is a Rolex or a Casio, its how you feel about it. This channel is first-rate and first-class.
I completelly have the same with my 14270 from 1996, it feels like it fits my wrist perfectly and I like how understated the piece is on your wrist. Honestly no matter how much my collection will hopefully grow and evolve over the years this piece will forever be my favourite piece.
It's because of you and your channel that I bought my Rolex Explorer 39mm, I wanted something under the radar and I remember watching your journey through getting your Explorer, it sparked a fire inside me that the Explorer was the watch for me .It was my first Rolex and I thank you for that. I also have a POLAR EXPLORER II also due to your content. .......one I feel you should not have gotten rid of, I love them both ....thanks for content Adrian cheers!
Last year I was shopping for a new "everyday watches" and bought it. I planned to give my "old beater" to my brother. This watch is just a simple Hamilton Khaki. I didn't expect it but I was unable to give this watch since it was my fisrt one. I had to buy my brother the same watch and gave it. I still keep my Hamilton and wear it from time to time.
In my opinion this is the best overview on UA-cam of the 14270 and it's successor the 114270. I own a 2006 114270 and it is my daily wear and I fully understand why Adrian feels so much affection for his Explorer. Wonderful episode. Many thanks.
I think I can say without reservation that this was hands down the best episode of any program focussing on timepieces that I have ever seen. Anywhere. So many watch reviews and discussions and “editorials“ are written ahead of time and prepackaged and just as dry as can be. The hosts and guests, discussion panelists, or what have you are simply going through the motions to produce content to shovel to the masses. This was different. There was real emotion here, and you could feel it and sense it. It actually meant something to both the narrator and the viewer - after all, here I am inspired to write a comment, which is something I rarely do. Gentlemen, my hat’s off to you for providing me with, however unintentional on your part, a genuinely sublime little interlude for my otherwise mundane afternoon. Thank you, and know the excellence is very much appreciated. - JP
I love my 2017 Explorer. You are so right when you say it is an ‘under the radar, understated’ watch where you don’t need to stand out or be flashy. Where the look at me is replaced with simply what’s the time. In a world where bigger is better, the Explorer needs no explanation. It just exists for the purpose it was made. I love it !
I brought one the same time you did because of watching your channel, then you kindly sent my girlfriend some straps that she surprised me with and then unfortunately I needed to sell it. I honestly miss it all the time and I’m reminded how much o loved it every time I see yours on this channel. Please never sell it and thanks for all your great video. Danny
Coming in late to this party but had to comment as I had a Rolex Submariner, the Blue face with the yellow gold/Stainless bracelet, and I had the exact same emotion of being extremely self-consious when I wore it, so much so that I stopped wearing it and eventually sold it. I'm not sure if it was an awakening of humility or what but the emotion was real and quite powerful. With that said, I'm going to be buying an Explorer for all the same reasons why you like yours. Anyway, I appreciate your channel and what you have to say about watches.
I trade in two tone 41mm Datejust for OP36 and Submariner no date. Then I trade in OP36 and Submariner no date for a Bluesy 41mm. As much as I love Bluesy, I miss other two watches. If I ever going to trade in my Bluesy for something else, I will regret for letting my Bluesy go. So now I know, any watch I sell will be missed. Enjoy what you have, and never never sell your watch, unless you really have to.
Like most of us that watch your channel, we’ve often heard your passion/obsession for your Explorer 14270. Even TGV claims the Explorer to be the only watch you’ll ever need! I had to find out what the hype was all about, and well I finally bit the bullet and I’m now the owner of a 114270. And after 24 hours on the wrist, it’s a dead set keeper! Keep the vids coming
Everything you’ve said positive about this piece is exactly why I went with the 36mm OP no date. No one knows what it is. But I do. And the lack of the 3-6-9 makes it a tad dressier, and of course the jeans and t-shirt application is just fine. I like the double indices as opposed to the 39mm’s set-up even bc I feel it’s a better balance with the width of the crown. I do love the Exp. 1 however. ;)
Hi! I’m 47 and I’m in love with this watch since I was a little kid. In fact this afternoon I’m picking up the new 36 mm explorer 124270 from the Rolex retailer in Palma 🌴 de Mallorca. I’m so happy! My daily watch is a submariner 4 lines 14060M from November 2010 and I absolutely love ❤️ it. But I have really good feelings on the explorer and for me is without any doubt one of the best watches of the brand.

Some gorgeous shots in there of the surroundings. Good stuff.
I love that watch, it’s just so simple and it’s just a watch; but that’s why I love it so much.....if I could afford a Rolex that’s the one I’d buy.....
I purchased my brand new Rolex explorer 1016 in January 89 and have worn it constantly for 31 years,I took it to Everest base camp in nov18 and it never missed a beat !!
Awesome video Adrain, beautifully shot and infused with your passion for the watch and what it symbolizes for you. They say every watch has a story to tell, and yours is imbued with this journey that you've begun with Bark and Jack. It's made my sunday evening - a great finish to the weekend.
After having watched this video at the start of lockdown in the UK, I started to really appreciated the Explorer. A no date sub had been the objective but this slowly changed to an either or scenario. This week I've been successful in putting down a deposit for an Explorer at an AD. Thanks to your video I'll hopefully have my dream watch in 2021! Keep up the good work.
I picked up a Tudor BlackBay 36mm pre-owned and it didn't have a scratch on it then I kept having 'clumsy' incidents with it and gave up trying to look after it. Because of all it's scratches and dings I actually started wearing it more and more and so loving it more and more.
You are the reason why I ended up buying a 14270 last month when I originally set out to but another Seiko 5! Thanks for the great content and I'm looking forward to seeing what journeys I go on with mine.
For me, that's my Victorinox. I gave one of my watches back to my dad, and my mechanicals are out for servicing. And while I'd love the mechanicals, my quartz (and rare, because it's a steel case, instead of the plastic case) Swiss Army watch is my go - to. Extremely accurate, beautiful matte - black dial, 100m of water resistance, coupled with extreme accuracy make this my go - to. For me, it's the ultimate "high - low" watch. I've worn it in a suit and tie, and a polo shirt and cargo shorts, to even a dri - fit and basketball shorts. It's currently on a black Oyster Bracelet, and....I love it.
I've got this tiny little Citizen field watch on a leather strap. One of the cheapest in my collection but somehow every time I put it on it just feels right. It is physically pleasing to read the time. Same with some homage watches I own, where it's not about trying to portray an image (nobody cares what watch you wear) but capturing the feeling that a given watch would give you in a time in your life where you just can't be bothered to pay for a name.
Great video. Thats the type of talk I enjoy the most. Just putting the camera down somewhere and talk about a certain topic. I love the Explorer ever since I discovered the hobby. Really going back and forth if I should consider a 114270 as a first luxury watch. And I have to say that your talk about the watch and the personal connection to it convinces me more than any rolex ad could. Keep on rockin bud
I have one of the last 114270 made, dating from 2009. Boy I love that watch. Not my most expensive watch, and far from my most eye catching watch, but I simply love it to pieces. Got it complete with box and papers, and I’d never sell it. It’s been with me on some of the most important moments of my life to boost, and it was a present from my mum, unlike my other luxury watches, that I’ve bought for myself. So I simply love it.
Interesting video. I have the same relationship with my 1985 GMT Master 16760. I'm retired, so I don't have the same kind of "flash" concerns as you. I just love it, I wear it almost every day, and it always makes me happy to look at my wrist and see it. So glad to see someone is skiing, by the way! All the big ski areas are closed here in the US.
1998 I was a freelancer working in Germany and had a successful project and I treated myself to a used Rolex GMT Master II, that I bought for 5200 DM. Fast forward to 2020, and I am fortunate to have several other really nice watches, but the only one I will definitely keep is the GMT. Like you I don‘t wear it so often, but when I do, so many memories just come flooding back. I love that watch! Great videos by the way, and interestingly, your passion for your Explorer has me wondering too, if I should take a closer look! Best regards and keep up the great work.
this is an amazing video man!, this is the perfect example of a connection between a watch collector and his watch! maybe this is the best watch video I have ever seen ( I have seen a lot lol!)
The explorer is just a cool piece, and it does look gorgeous on straps and bracelet. As well it’s the real bond watch. Wear it in good health Adrian and enjoy skiing, that time seems to be over now here in Switzerland and Germany... Cheers, Konstantin 🙏🏻
Love the sentiment in this video, it's one I share with my Speedmaster 3210.51. It's been my first proper, luxury Swiss watch and something I look forward to enjoying for many more years. Cheers!
Great video Adrian as usual, and make no apologies about "THE WATCH", it really is that great of a one watch collection if that were the case. I think this is your " A Man and His Watch" but its the Rolex Explorer need I say more. Thanks again, Brian.
The connection you have to a watch because of a time in your life is real. No matter what watches I acquire throughout my life I'll probably always have my Seiko 5 field watch because I was wearing it while trekking Kilimanjaro. It'll always remind me of that point even if it becomes a rarely worn beater. Love and understand the connection you have with the explorer
I really get you on this video. I have 13 in my collection and the one i wear for me because I love it so much is my Oris Aquis 43.5mm emerald green. I'm a large chap with 7 3/4" wrist so its not that big on me, plus the fact my wife bought it for me makes it super special. I appreciate your work on this channel.
I totally feel you on the 14270 Explorer. I'm in the lucky position to own some beautiful watches, but if for one reason I had to narrow my collection down to only one, it would be my Explorer 14270. Only thing I don't agree is your point on the 14270 vs. the 114270. The 14270 is more then rugged enough and will last a lifetime. Big advantage for the 14270 is that the early ones (till 1998 like yours) have tritium and will develop their own character in time.
I've recently, come to discover, this same sense of connection. The wonder of, "do I really need, any other watches?" The "Explorer," is everything I think I need, in a watch. It's very cliche', but it really rings true, when said.....the "one-watch collection." I used to despise the "Explorer." GADA watches, in general, really. Now, I can't take it off of my wrist. Great work, as usual, Adrian. Your all class. Cheers...
Another great video Adrian. 2 weeks ago I brought a OP 36mm white dial from my ad first rolex and brand new so I can build a relationship with my ad. I am starting to feel the same about my watch only after 2 weeks. After watching your vids it really got me into rolex and thought I'd invest in a timeless first peace that hopefully I'll own the rest of my life.
Yo Adrian!, I own the 114270 and I absolutely love this watch as well. I have been following your site for a couple of years, but for some reason, just came across this video. I think your video and the ID Guy's video sum up my love affair with this watch. And I wholeheartedly agree with you, I know I should never say never but, I think this will never leave my small collection. Thanks for the the great vid!
I’ve got a 214270 and I absolutely adore it. I completely understand how you feel. These watches are special. Wear it in great health and great fortune!
as a kid I have always dreamed about seeing a FIFA World Cup match live in stadium. In 2018 my dream came true. I saw, with my own eyes, Messi scoring for Argentina against Nigeria in a thriller game, in a wonderful stadium, in a wonderful city of St. Petersburg. On that day I had a Certina DS Prince Automatic on my wrist. Just an ordinary watch one might think, yet I can't stress enough how special it has become to me. This watch will be forever a reminder of a dream that came true. This kind of feelings are priceless. Amazing Video. Best Regards!
Just got my 214270 mkII about 2 weeks ago. I’m in love with it. I’m interested to learn you didn’t like the Explorer at first. That was me, too. But, over time, it grew on me.
For me, it's my Rolex OP white dial 36mm. I will never sell it. I had one, sold it and within two weeks was searching for the same watch to buy again. That's when I knew it was my forever watch.
Such a great video. While watching this I immediately thought about which watches I will never sell and the ones I can easily part with. Where before watching, I wasn't too sure. You nailed it Adrian.
Another great video. I own numerous watches but I’m particularly attached to my 34mm Oyster Perpetual. It’s hard to define why you get attached to certain watches. My dad said to me, “what’s the point of a Rolex which looks like a seiko?”..maybe that’s why I love it so much, it’s so anonymous. I’m a small dude and the 34mm suits me.
Subscribed for boarding. Every collector has their favorite. It’s the one they can’t stop talking about. I’ve come to associate ppl with their fav watches. Bark&Jack is explorer I.
Recently purchased a Black Bay 58 (after being on a waiting list for four months), absolutely love it, have gifted three watches from my not so large collection (smaller now) to a good friend, all good watches but they would only end up seeing the light of day every now and then. The BB 58 was worth the wait for me, if I could have only one watch then this would be it
My Cartier Tank has been one of the watches I never expected to fall in love with; it's a dressy watch, but I'm able to use it in my daily routine. I find myself glancing at it. It's really a beautiful thing. Congratulations on your watch! And Good luck.
Thank you Adrian, my Explorer lll Polar Dial T-Swiss-T was my first Rolex ...the watch has been with me for over a decade.....if it could talk...the stories..it could tell....the places we've been...the flights we've had... and then there were not so good times and those friends no longer with us...every scratch and knock tells its own story too...and time is the most precious commodity...measured faithfully on my wrist
Great video. In your opinion, is there much of a difference between the current Oyster Perpetual 116000 (36mm with the 3,6,9 dial plus 3130 movement) and the Explorer 114270? They look very similar to me other than the blue dial and Rolex crown instead of the diamond at 12 o'clock?
I really enjoyed this video! I love when people find something, especially a watch, with which they really connect. The back story on how you came to own it and how it kind of snuck up on you is just great. Great watch and great video!
My vintage Air King is my forever watch. I started out wearing it everywhere, doing everything - diving, whatever - but after all that hard service, I put it on a Camille Fournet leather strap and have made it number one casual watch. Like your explorer, it’s all but invisible to those that neither know or understand.
Omega Cosmic 2000. Bought it on skid row at a mega bargain price. With some love and a service it’s my most prized in my collection. The age, the look and story. Not that popular online but that makes me love it even more.
I've always wanted to own a Rolex, but when I do it still wont replace my Tag Heuer 980 023, I brought it with my first wages in the early 90's & it's been with me through thick & thin. Scuba diving, foreign holidays, playing around with the kids, every event in my life & wouldn't ever get rid of it, even for the Rolex grail. So yes I totally get it 100%. Great video 👍
Enjoyed the video. Hoping to get mine this week before everything is locked down. I have a 1962 9ct Omega, that will be my last watch that I would sell. Its has old as me, puts a smile on my face everytime I wear it. It's like me, old yet still here.
Great video Adrian. Can you please let me know what nato you have your explorer on? I love the subtle blue to it...I can only see grey variants on B&J🤔 Cheers in advance.
nice vid. I have a similar relationship with my Tudor bb58. I recently bought it and it is my first 'important' watch. nice to see that you were in HR, that's also my job!
Same with my old lorus(seiko) watch. Black dial, stainless steel and day-date function. I wear it the most out off all my watches(i think at this moment). Bought it a while ago for 2 euro's second hand. It was (and still is) all banged and scratched up, but its so versatile and durable. I really love it. Would never get rid of it. But i buyed a second hand '98 seiko 5 with a silver dial a week ago( my first automatic), so ill see if its going to have as much wrist-time as the lorus.
This led me to seek out and buy a 114270, two months on the wrist and wow I totally get this now it's a genuine one watch collection, crazy how one watch can do it all.
I have the same relationship with my 41 smooth, white dial w sticks. Ref 126300. I’ve only had it for 3 months though but after watching this, I bet I’m in store for the same eternal amour. The thing is the shit has hit the fan, Adrian. At least here in NY. It’s 04/04/20 btw. And I look at my watch everyday and wonder if by July or August, I’ll be forced to part with it. I’ve wanted a Rolex since 1991. I finally got one and now this. Hope you’re able to hang on to all three of yours, Adrian. Love the channel.
I purchased the 214270 mrkII after watching your reviews of your explorer several times, I guess I got the same connection to it as I,ve been wearing it the most, my 116610ln and my white 114300 haven’t been out of the save that much since the arrival of the explorer in September last year, keep up the this great channel, Cheers Hans
Great video, very much understand your connection to your watch. I have an Omega Seamaster 300M from 2000's, Brosnan era Bond style. It was one of my first luxury watches and even though I don't wear it daily anymore, I have a true connection with it.
Great video as always Adrian. Can you give us any advice on how to find these auctions? Was it an online auction? Relatively new to the luxury watch market. Best regards
Like the passion you have with the explorer. I lov my Sinn 856 b uhr teg steel on bracelet tuff and solid as any 200 m wr. Keep the great videos coming in these crazy times. Stay safe and warm
I have the same..... with my 214270 stubby hand Explorer. First mechanical watch that I bought and it's a keeper as well. Don't wear it as often as others, but when I do, it clicks.
Great video. My first luxury watch buy was the Polar Explorer (39mm) that I picked up preowned about 3 years ago to replace my Benrus super compressor that I bought in 1968 starting High School and wore most everyday (finally started being very erratic in keeping time and could r be fixed which prompted the Rolex buy). Love the Polar. What NATO type strap (colors) would you recommend for the Polar. What did you have on yours? Thanks.
Can absolutely understand the statement and relationship on the Explorer II as it is also my first Rolex. But having a Panerai as my first luxury watch was also ‘liberating’ in a sense that only a handful of people knows about the watch!
Great vid. I have the 214270 and live that under the radar non pretentious feeling. Like yourself wasn't sure if I'd get on with this but absolutely love it and couldn't bare to part with it. Ever.
Superb video Adrian! I have a 1996 version of the 14270 in my collection and I totally agree with all of your comments. I wear it regularly and I switch it's look between a RubberB strap and it's original steel. 💙💛
Great story. Thank you for sharing your “relationship” with this watch. I agree with you, not my favorite Rolex, but you sharing has even created a liking for the explorer that never before existed. I myself have a connection to a Movado Faceto quartz watch 38mm with diamonds. I bought it 15 years ago before knowing anything about horology, just loved the watch, and I still do, it is one of my favorite daily’s.
Amazing to hear. You love it and that’s what it’s all about, right? I have emotionally bought 40 watches since lockdown, but like you I keep coming back to this watch for all those reasons. It just makes sense, not too flashy, and those that know, know. I am hunting for a ‘bargain’ but I always come back to this watch. I have seen a 214270 (mk2) but on the old mk1 dial; and however much a great deal this is, lockdown tells me (patience) that I will hate the fact the 3,6,9 won’t glow. Which will eat me up, eventually. All good things and that...
This was a refreshing break from all the madness in the news- keep the videos coming! Do you think you would have developed a similar connection with your polar explorer had you kept that instead?
The comment about HR is so spot on. I work in HR as well and inherited my father’s two tone Datejust recently and don’t feel like I can wear it to work unfortunately. Has me looking to Tudor for the under the radar alternative.
I work for a charity (working with people in addiction) and never felt comfortable wearing my GMTc to work as it felt a bit “flaunty” but now I’m in a managerial role and don’t have contact with service users I’m comfortable wearing what I want at last 😄
Oh, now I get the whole picture. On the other hand if somebody would say something or ask you about the watch, you have a good story to tell as you inherited the watch from your father. So did I, as my father died a few years ago he left a bit of money. I chose to buy something that would always remind me of that and bought a Rolex Explorer 1. Rest assured I will never sell this watch.
My relationship with my Explorer is very similar to yours. At the beginning, I was looking for a Submariner, but when I saw the Explorer I bought it instead. The fact that it goes under the radar is something you have to consider, I thought "Why did I spend so much on such a simple watch?", but I ended up wearing it every day and on every travel and I just love it. I can't really say why I like it so much, but I think you gave a really nice description of what happens when you wear an Explorer.
The 36mm Explorer, and I'd also include the BB36, is perfectly proportioned and is the PERFECT daily and one-watch as far as I'm concerned. Some will say they both lack a date, who cares though? You all have a cell phone in your pocket for the date. I love my BB36 - which is currently on a brown calf leather strap now - and would never sell it. It was the watch I wore when my son was born. I picked up a Rolex 116000 back in December and love it just as much, but it will stay on the oyster bracelet.
Thanks so much Rob. I really appreciate you watching and sharing your thoughts. Have a great week. 👍🏻
A: Adrian put a new video up.
B: What’s it about?
A: How much he loves his Explorer.
B: Again?
A: This one’s on a mountain.
B: Cool.
J.J. H the reason i followed this man 👍🏻
Haha.
Cool video. I don't have a large collection but my Tudor North Flag and my Oris Big Crown Propilot are the two that are meaningful to me.
Thanks !! Now I don’t need to watch it ! 👍
Jack Kairos oh you absolutely have to!
Seeing the romance between you and your explorer, from the perpective of a watch lover, just makes me go like "yup, he's found the one"
I'm glad you get it.
i wear my Hamilton khaki field for the same reason, i mean i’m 15 so having an expensive watch is pretty risky, yet people don’t know this is an expensive watch i mean it’s like £375, yet if i wore a daniel wellington or a MVMT people might catch attention as they’re recognisable, yet my watch, is so lowkey and at least double the price if not triple those watches and no one knows, its great
Hayden Fleetwood cool watch for a 15 year old.
Hamilton Khaki Field is an excellent watch - great value and very mature choice. Enjoy.
You sir have taste! And money can't buy that!
You are way ahead of the curve if you are at that awesome of a watch at 15. Nice!
Is it the auto or the mechanical?
there’s just something about this video i love. not sure if it’s the cinematics, the passion of which you speak about the explorer, or a combination of both. but i’ve watched it, watched it again, showed it to my dad, then bought the 14270, then showed this video to my mum as well. today, it’s day 2 with my explorer, and here i am, watching this video again. hope you’re well adrian.
How did you find a 1996 edition? Just on a second hand watch store?
Wish my wife would talk with so much passion about me.
That is some depressing shit bro!
May be if you buy her a Rolex she will....worked for me...!
@@gmshadowtraders it was suppose to be a joke. My wife is amazing as she is

It's because of you and your channel that I bought my Rolex Explorer 39mm, I wanted something under the radar and I remember watching your journey through getting your Explorer, it sparked a fire inside me that the Explorer was the watch for me .It was my first Rolex and I thank you for that.
Welcome to the Explorer family. And I felt the same. 👍🏻
Good stuff.
Love your shit too! You guys are awesome. Thanks for following your heart, and passions, gentlemen.
Adrian, your affection and honesty is a truly inspiring gem. Thanks!
Just picked up the 39mm Explorer 1 three days ago and I can already understand why so many people enjoy it so much. I love it.
That 36 mm Explorer looks perfect on your wrist: the right size and versatility! And Roger W. Smith would agree...
This watch is the back bone of bark and jack
This is the best explorer video made IMO. I have come back to it numerous times in the past 3 years.
Indeed as worn by British author Ian Fleming (1908-1964)
My Explorer 1 214270 was my first luxury watch and is my "go to" at all times. So versatile, so understated, so great.
great watch and good for every situation
This is what the passion of being a watch enthusiast is about! Great video!
Thanks for watching Mike.
Love this video, I feel the same way about my seiko 5, and as i save for my speedmaster I know it will be the same feeling!
Feel the same way Adrian about my white dial OP39. Keep killing it!
My Squale 1521 in blue. It speaks to me ‘Summer........ fun time!’
Cheers...
Straight from your heart, love it. I’m still not sure buying a Submariner Date or the Explorer I.
Adrian, I have the chance to get either a sub non date or the 39 explorer (36 would be too small for my wrist). Which would you go for?
I have a quite similar connection to my Sinn 556i . I look at it and love everything about it. Cheers Oni
My Tudor Black Bay 41, basically the same look.. it was my first luxury watch purchase and I just fell in love with it
Such a great video.
Non Watch people will never understand
Subscribed for boarding. Every collector has their favorite. It’s the one they can’t stop talking about. I’ve come to associate ppl with their fav watches. Bark&Jack is explorer I.
Thanks so much for subscribing buddy. 🙌🏻
Recently purchased a Black Bay 58 (after being on a waiting list for four months), absolutely love it, have gifted three watches from my not so large collection (smaller now) to a good friend, all good watches but they would only end up seeing the light of day every now and then. The BB 58 was worth the wait for me, if I could have only one watch then this would be it
Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.
The Explorer is that.
This watch is the absolute coolest thing. I love the inky black dial and I actually think the numerals are awesome. One day I will own one. One day.
This watch looks perfect with the gray strap. Right size and right style fits to you. Your quite right loving it.
I love the subtle blue to it...I can only see grey variants on B&J🤔
Cheers in advance.
This is the tubular grey nato. It does have a hint of blue in it. It’s not straight grey. 👍🏻
Love it! Really reiterates the point of how some watches are resembling stories and memories for us now. I'll never part with my Explorer as well!
I have an old Seiko 5 (circa 1982) has an Oyster Perp look to it. It’s 37 mm, and just feels so good on the wrist.
Thanks.
one of your best video yet!!! you were born to wear the Explorer!!! as usual, amazing content and spectacular tribute to your Rolex! 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Love the new choice in music. Awesome video. One of my dream watches
Can absolutely understand the statement and relationship on the Explorer II as it is also my first Rolex. But having a Panerai as my first luxury watch was also ‘liberating’ in a sense that only a handful of people knows about the watch!
Adrian, any idea when you will get more 20mm Grey seatbelt natos back in stock??? I ordered a 22mm in the meantime, but need a 20mm for my sub.
Great vid. I have the 214270 and live that under the radar non pretentious feeling. Like yourself wasn't sure if I'd get on with this but absolutely love it and couldn't bare to part with it. Ever.
Sums up perfectly why I love so much my Explo 😀 ! Thanks for the great video as usual !
Thanks for watching buddy.
Was the watch running slower in the cold weather? It looks like it's running much slower in the shot 2:17
The comment about HR is so spot on. I work in HR as well and inherited my father’s two tone Datejust recently and don’t feel like I can wear it to work unfortunately. Has me looking to Tudor for the under the radar alternative.
It’s a shame isn’t it.
@DW I wouldn’t give a f..k. Enjoy your watches.
I just added nearly the same comment. Are you happy with the Explorer? I'm curious if I'll still think of the sub.
