    A big truck needs a big shock and the Losi® 5IVE-T™ truck has some of the biggest shocks we've ever seen. Thanks to their large diameter, big-bore design, they help provide the 5IVE-T with a super-plush ride, absorbing anything in its path. Keeping your shocks in prime working condition requires occasional maintenance and rebuilding, which is made easier thanks to the Losi 5IVE-T Shock Rebuild and Hardware Set (LOSB2856, Hyperlink text). This set includes virtually everything you'll need to rebuild your shocks quickly and easily. The only extra items required will be your favorite Losi shock oil, some Losi Nitrotec™ Spray Cleaner, a brush, and the tools included with your 5IVE-T. In this tutorial we will show you:
    • The proper steps for removing the shocks from your vehicle
    • How to clean the exterior of your shock bodies
    • Proper disassembly of your shocks
    • How to replace the o-ring seals in the bottom of your shocks
    • How to properly refill and bleed your shocks
    • How to replace the shock boot
    • Final shock reassembly
    • Reinstallation on your Losi 5IVE-T
    In addition to these steps above, we'll also show you how to simply top off your shock fluid levels, proper bleeding and show you a tip for how to make installing and removing your lower spring perch a little easier. In addition to our shock tutorial, make sure you check out the rest of our expansive tutorials on how to best maintain the performance of your Losi 5IVE-T.
    In addition to these steps here, you can also check out our un-boxing, first initial setup and post-run maintenance tutorials we have put together on the Losi 5IVE-T. You can view that by visiting www.horizonhobb....

    This is good to know. I've read that you have to take the shocks apart right out of the box because the screw holding the piston on the shaft come loose from the factory. You have to put loctite on the screw.

    @RCbuilder247 Yes, 30WT all-around. However you can always experiment with different dampening front and rear to change the handling characteristics. I typically run 2.5-5wt heavier front than rear.

      @@modex20 Yes. The 1.0 has bladders. The 2.0 doesn't. Has bleeder caps.
      Im quite new and havent had any experience with bleeder caps. Im sure I can figure it out but I wanna make sure I do it right

    Nice info.. in the video you identify a tip about cutting a notch, but it skips, rather than showing where you would actually cut, can you explain?

    would tightening the cap while the shock is fully extended not give you full length preload ? I was unsure when I rebuilt my 5s shocks and have been trying different ways what's the info on the preload end of this thanks

    • @horizonhobby

      No, you'll need more but that's why there's a 4oz bottle too. TLR74023 is the P/N

    can you do a video on how to clean it using water

    • @horizonhobby
      @horizonhobby  10 років тому

      No, because you do NOT want to use water to clean this! You'll want to use proper degreasers and cleaners, such as Dynamite Nitro Force or Magnum Force to clean the truck.

    • @gunachowdary6574
      @gunachowdary6574 10 років тому

      can i put degreaser on the engine

    • @gunachowdary6574
      @gunachowdary6574 10 років тому

      nothing happens to the electronics when i put degreaser on them

    • @horizonhobby
      @horizonhobby  10 років тому

      guna chowdary Yes you can use Magnum Force or Nitro Force on the engine. Regarding the electronics what are you needing to clean, just dirt and mud off of them? Use a firm bristled brush to clean those off.

    why don't you go ahead and go ahead and go ahead and go ahead and go ahead and remove that phrase from your vocabulary. It its really not necessary, the sentences work without it.
