The young Latvian Caune ran a 5k heat at the 2023 world championship from the front. Made the final but sadly was scratched. Looking forward to Paris 2024.
I am 64, and go for a run, but start out very, very slow like a walk, and then a very slow half mile and then a walk, and increase by a quarter mile every few days, and stretch before and after. You can do it. I used to race 2 and 3 miles and got side -tracked in the army. I decided to run again and was making progress. It is cold here in the winter and that hurts. I've seen a few very old looking guys running, but other than that...nobody. I ask myself: what happens if I have to run to escape danger: will i be able to?
Ms. Caune also comes across as a polite and humble young lady, shaking hands with some or several of her competitors after winning this fantastic race. I wish her - and our human brothers and sisters across the Earth - a happy, blessed, safe, encouraging, and positively memorable Easter 2024! Immanuel: God with us. Jesus Christ came to save sinners: John 3:16; 1 Corinthians 3:10-15; Revelations 7:9-17.

This event is described as a European Athletics Championship race, yet it's held in Jerusalem. When did Jerusalem become a European city? For that matter, why is Israel routinely included in European sporting competitions and cultural festivals? On what map is Israel located in Europe? Yet few seem to question this exceptional status accorded to a state plainly unqualified for such inclusion. Could the reason lie in the country's implicit status as a settler-colonial enterprise originating in and serving western security interests?
Congratulations to Caune of Latvia for an outstanding performance in the 3,000 meters and the 5,000 meters ( championships record)!
Caune is truly amazing!!!🤩😍😆
Very impressive by Caune. Great rhythm and efficiency.
And Ms. Caune was even hugging some of her competitors. So sweet and gracious of her!

I really enjoy watching top athletes.
Ms. Caune can become, if she remains sufficiently healthy and motivated, one of the world's best long-distance runners later in the 2020s.
A bit like Konstanze Klosterhalfen in 2019 she could become
Congrats to Weiss ! Amazing PB !
Brilliant performance by Caune!
WOW!! I have never seen anything like this. This young lady has reason to be proud of her accomplishment.
Caune... wut de hell! I'm astounded! 🤩🤩🤩❤🙏🏼
That was one of the greatest performances in track and field.
"Yes, I'm a professional runner."
Caune laps you.
"Maybe I'll try Javelin..."
Yeah, that's got to hurt.
They're SO little! Like 90 lbs! And they look to be about 15 years old!
I'm surprised just how far ahead of all the other runners she is they all train just as hard I'm sure ...just amazing run
Very close to Touhy's NCAA record this year.
She smoked every runner. Amazing performance.
OMG LOL Caune is so good that she's still overtaking backmarkers, on her victory lap!
Great job from California
Congratulations, braliukai!
It will be difficult to run several series in two disciplines at the Olympic Games, so we'll probably have to choose.
The 3k Isn’t run in the olympics so I assume she will just run the 5k or potentially explore the 10k
20:10 Why I will never be a 5000m runner. I always avoided sports where the ability to endure pain was important.
Agata Tu esi superiga 😍
Ms. Caune's running stride appears almost otherworldly relative to her competitors'.
I don’t understand why the lapped runners don’t yield the inside lane. Show some decorum.
Wow. What a run. 15:03.
Amazing.
Puts into context that Gidey is a whole minute quicker and the 14 minute mark is likely to be broken soon.
Nice to see so many beautiful fit Europeans!
Amazing athlete and what a performance. Also, lovely (and a bit surprising) to see a woman win a women's event.
I know, an actual woman! can you believe it?!!
@@osiris7800 It's becoming gobsmacking!
I am confused why Konstanze kolsterhlf was not there?
These young girls make me want to go for a run.. and then I remember I am nearly 64..lol

The Women's and Children's Athletics.
Jerusalem …. Europe?
Huge!
She's going the distance....
She definitely ran along with invisible African runners.
C était visible d autant que Caune porte le dossard 1
Wow!
It is so weird that people running, can fill up a whole stadium! I will never be able to understand sports enthuiasts.

With a Sticker on her Foot

LATVIA 🇱🇻
Amazing that she beat a man
The lapped runners don't have the courtesy to move out for the leader. Pathetic.
These are not women,... these are children for god sake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How old are these kids?
Under 20 years
Why is everyone wearing Nike shoes???
Not everyone. Looks like the winner was wearing Pumas.
Freebies?
No.20 how rude? Lying on the track being dramatic and impeding the race.
now watch the men's achievements
القدس
irelands runner...yup-looks like a little-kid???LOL
Poor turn out of fans. ...
Dreadful commentary sends you to sleep.
this looks abit of all white
how was this race allowed to happen, to many white runners.

Sports and economic boycott of Israel is what is needed..It is an apartheid political system akin to SA

Get those women's records while you can because soon there'll be a Democrat man in a dress to break every one of them... Thanks, Democrats!
