So glad to see the woman in red move to the outside of the second lane to let the leaders through on the rail. Thank you! Need that for all meaningful races. Hard to tell if that was done by officials, or just her initiative, but very happy to see it, very sportsmanlike in my view. 😊

Good sportsmanship to be sure. Philosophically, it's a dog eat dog world, so I understand taking care of yourself first - your best time - but I would guess something just wasn't right today and she did the right thing (including finishing)

Moving out then in ... then out ... then IN....you'll end up hitting other runners. You can't hear them and in the exhausted state wont/dont/can/t use you brain. Longer the race the more it's true.
Exhaust yourself running, have a friend hold up a simple Calculus problem, solve it as you run past. OR jump a hurdle one time in a corner ... that single extra effort during running exhaustion ... your timing etc is SO far off it's dangerous.

I'm here because of Tuohy but I respect the fact that there were quite a few girls faster than her that day and this is about them, not that they didn't mention Tuohy around the 13 minute mark and gave her due, but kept it about the race up front. First time I've seen Tuohy sit down on the track afterwards, usually she's up bouncing around while everyone else is scattered around lying on the ground. Yeah, maybe they missed one by coyly letting the camera roll on the finish line but 15 seconds is a long time on the track.

What good is that. Show the entire home stretch so we can see how each other finish in relation to each other. Hi. I'm a huge KT fan. This wasn't an "off" day. She set a PB! Plus, I carefully watched her race progress, her positioning etc and her race strategy was brilliant. They were running steady 71ish (to 73) pace at the front and KT stayed with them until later in the race. When they threw in a 70 then 69, well, KT doesn't yet have the strength and speed to match Open Grade runners and began to fade. However, overall, it was a brilliant effort by KT and bodes well for her future.
