Watched the first episode to see u port the saw now I am this far and learned a bit already never thought about the soder trick not a bad idea light ish tap shouldn't hurt anything and I like the way u explain things simple and understandable
Hey brother from another mother, did you ever advance timming on your homelite? Here's something to try, get an ignition module from Oregon 33-053,wire it into coil and stop switch. Then take out your fixed coil and points assembly, then drill out the rear hole of the assembly bigger, so that you can rotate and advance timming. After you do this you have to adjust carb, but be amazed about how much revs, and hang on.
None of my ported saws have points ignition. My builds right now tend to take a long time because I like to show on video the different steps and show the results of each change. My next example is going to be a muffler mod but I’m thinking about doing a timing advance shortly after.
Great video with awesome step by step footage! This would be great for anyone looking to work on saws especially for novices. Keep up the great work 👍👍💪💪😎😁🇺🇸!
Enjoyed it again man!!! Im hanging in there, everbody tellin me to junk it and go buy a stihl ha ive already got 1 of them. Cant wait till next monday👍👍👍
Hey Smitty something you might want to go over with on one of your videos is on your ignition system some of these saws that people might be working on might be the older style with points and condenser not electronic and also the electronic came with two different setups the wiseco and the phelon the two different coils one was blue and one was black
I’m going to do a no spark repair video and I am planning on showing as many different types as I have. I don’t think I have them all but I will be able to show points and electronic versions.
Thank you sir... I want you to know that I have learned to work on my own saws because of you!! Thanks man! I run a norwood pm 14 chainsaw mill with a g660, g372xp, and sometimes a 590 timberwoof! I also have a channel... please check ✔️ it out brother 🙏

Thanks
I am in possession of more powerful tools than that unfortunately! lol
More tools is better!!!!
@@Smittyschainsaws agreed 100%! just not a good sign when your die grinder has more computing power than you! :p
I wander if anyone has tried to do porting with nothing but hand tools. The exhaust or intake work yes but what about transfer work?
