Very important question! I’ve heard and read it would be a great idea to get a baby doll prior to baby coming home and treat it like the real baby to get puppy used to it. But my question is, wouldn’t they realize the doll is not real and think it’s a toy or something? Or think their being tricked or we’re playing a game especially when then the real baby comes?
I have 3 dogs,2 of which are still hyper and they are all crazy and not trained too well,but they are getting better. my husband and I just found out that were pregnant and I'm petty nervous about it! any more tips??
Amanda Prichard learn to be pack leader BEFORE baby is born. Watch Cesar Milan and read his books! You have time now while you are pregnant but trying to train 3 dogs with a newborn will be way too overwhelming and could end up with baby getting hurt .
I have 2 dogs 1 is calm one is hyperactive The on that's hypo all the time is never aggressive but loves to play and can be very clumsy I have a toddler who gets chased ect and the dog has scratch her a few times but not meaning to I got our dogs after our 1st child was born now I'm bit worried about the hypo dog with the new baby when it comes cos she can be a bit much and she is very rarely calm can you advice me on what to do she don't really listen to much she very ignorant
I have a huge german sheperd. Hes a security dog and in the house he is so gentle with the family. But if any stranger comes to the house he would est them alive. He is not familiar with anyone other than the family. My gf is now pregnent. How will i introduce a baby to my dog. Would it work if i introduced them in a controlled way but muzzle him the way he always is when he leaves the house. Its very worrying.
I would of simply told you to introduce you're dog to the baby's smells like clothes lotions diapers and wipes. Let him smell them so he can get used to them. Let him be around the car seat with a baby doll. That way he'll know the smells of the baby.
