No they won't because Ilitch won't pay enough to bring in real quality players. I don't mean another fielder or Cabrera deal but they could of paid ERod and several others.
I am a tigers fan but they still have some major issues. As good a Greene and Tork looked they still aren’t all star caliber and probably 2 years away from that. Carpenter and Skubal looked like studs but outside of these four who has really proven anything. Manning is very injury prone and doesn’t have any secondary pitches. Their other starts look interesting and unproven. They have the worst infield in baseball. And their bullpen outside of the guys mentioned sucked. Although they have a promising future I think the are 2-3 years away assuming their GM doesn’t fuck it up which is a very big if. And also fuck Al Avila set us back easily 5 years.

Colt Keith is the Tigers 2nd baseman and should have a big rookie year. And Baez at SS is atleast good defensively. A combination of Matt Vierling, Mckinstry, and Henry-Malloy at 3rd base should uncover possibly an everyday player at the position. Tork at 1st is great defensively. I don’t understand saying it’s the worst infield in baseball.

And Baez was not good defensively lasted year you can look up the numbers so he is arguably the worst starting shortstop in the league assuming no improvement. With Colt Kieth added and the assumption Baez plays better I would say they are a middle of the pack infield. Although last year their were one of the worst infields in the league if not the worst.

Many of their young prospects such as Carpenter, Torkelson, and Riley Greene. Added two solid arms to the bullpen, in Shelby Miller, and Andrew Chafin. For the rotation, Kenta Maeda was added. Plus, got Mark Canha for nearly nothing. Good offseason, great future.
