It having edge lighting is a sell point for me. I have the S23 FE currently and i was just introduced to it and i love it. The fact Motorola has this now is amazing.
Hmmm... If that action button can be used with app shortcuts (like starting Chat GPT's Voice feature), or be programmed to do phone routines, said phone right there may come in quite handy for many!
Me too but on the other hand i dislike their quality, usually i buy Belkin or UGreen GaN chargers that support all my devices even Macbook. They are smaller and come with better cables.
I just got this phone for free at Walmart I bought three months of service with straight talk and the phone was free great deal. This phone is very fast and super fun. Only downsides. No charger and a ton of bloat ware that the average person might not know they can simply uninstall. But other than that a great phone.
Pretty solid phone. At $550 though, I'll definitely wait for a sale. I just got the Edge 2023 for $350, so I'll probably hang on to it until this one goes on sale.
This device is renamed motorola edge 50 fusion in India and sells for $300 with slightly better features and comes with a charger and case. The only exception being is that quick button.

S24 Ultra speakers are not actually loud but as long as a phone is not a flagship, especially a Samsung s flagship, they are going to get downplay even if they do well
This is the us version of the edge 50 fusion. All the edge 50 models will receive 3 major android updates and 4 years of security updates. So I think this will apply to the edge 50 2024 as well.
I use the Moto g stylus 5g 2024 and I've purchased the Moto Edge 2024 and gave to my son. I would definitely go with the Stylus. The Edge has lag issues which is puzzling. The Stylus has a much better screen.. much more vivid than the edge. The Stylus is buttery smooth.. you wouldn't notice a difference between the Stylus and a $800+ phone. The only advantage of the Edge is a better processor but considering the lag issues, the Stylus wins. The edge has 68 watt charging but heats up way too high when charging. IMO, the Stylus is the winner and it's not even close.
Depends: would you rather have 128gb on board, or 256? Do you need a head phone jack? How much would you use a stylus? Do you want a flat display or curved? Personally, next payday, I'm going back to Metro and getting this phone. The 2024 stylus is great, but I want more storage, and I've already owned the '23 version.
Mine came with a charger GaN 68 watts usb-c to usb-c, paid $390 USD (converted from local currency in Colombia) I prefer iPhone because i really had some bad experiences with Samsung phones, but also the ecosystem is a lot better with Apple vs having a mixture of Microsoft, Google, ... I saw this phone and bought it as a backup for work, i actually love it and has similar gestures like iPhone does if you enable it. Its a lot faster vs my Samsung S22+ Snapdragon, especially after 2 updates the Samsung phone got turned into paperweight. I haven't seen any pending update on my Motorola, the only thing negative i would say that the camera lags sometimes and i dislike the bloatware that comes pre-installed and re-installed itself after i removed it two times. Also had Adobe scan function baked in the camera app, you can't remove or disable this, which is really bad because Adobe was in the news and is getting sued for stealing data (photos, documents, contacts etc...)
I don't really see a difference from the Edge 2023 only difference I see is a better processor and it has Android 14 Even the design of the phone is the same and the quick button far as that everything else is the same same specs from last year Motorola shame on you
Moto did a lot right with this phone, but dammit the curved screen is a deal breaker to me. Had a Pixel 7 Pro for a while and those curved screens inadvertently cause so many issues. Mainly with finding proper screen protectors and a case that doesn't adjust around the curves. Curved screen protectors are either garbage, ridiculously expensive with a rather complicated installation process, and they make rugged cases almost worthless. (The Otterbox for my 7 Pro wouldn't fit and would lift up the screen protector letting in dust, I had to actually file down the front plastic to make it fit) And the cases themselves are far less protective as the only raised areas around the screen are the top and bottom, the curved sides are almost naked so a side drop would almost guarantee your phone would be ruined.

Do you know if it supports alt mode to connect to your tv using USB-C to HDMI?
Great phone. I am a Motorola guy but I think this model at 399 USD would have been a great success. At 549 there are lot of players.
