Yeah it's about the same benchmark wise or close to it, maybe only slightly better, but something about it just makes it fly through average every day tasks. It just feels much faster day to day
I returned my A35 after 10 days for it and i can confirm moto g stylus 2024 5g is better , more fast i think 8g ram help vs 6 in A35 and Samsung software are hard to run
Just snagged one of these from Amazon on sale for $249.99. The 256GB version to be specific. This is will my 4th Motorola phone and I'm stoked to get it delivered hopefully today! Great review. :)
Just got this on sale for Black Friday for about $235 and I'm pretty excited for it. The big draw for me all the storage space and the battery. The stylus is just a bonus.
as of today 11/6/24 this phone is priced at $382 on Amazon. The version u mentioned on cricket has half the storage and half the RAM. Regardless of which version I get u only get 1 update so it won't make it past android 15. If u buy this over the 8a you got played. The 8a is $400 on sale it's currently on Android 15, it has a brighter screen and better camera and updates until 2031.
Slightly incorrect. The cricket version has 8GB of RAM. This has been confirmed by others in reddit/online. Yes 128GB if storage but that's very typical but it does come with an sd card slot. Secondly, the red model of this phone, linked in the description. Is still $250. All that being said, yes, 1 big os update may be enough to really turn people away from the phone. That's why I mentioned the A35 as an example of a better all around option. But for $250 it's pretty good
I suppose everybody has their preference but I couldn't stand the tiny screen on the pixel 8a compared to the much larger screen on the Moto g stylus. Also battery performance is a big issue with me and from what I'm saying it takes a lot longer to charge the pixel 8a, since the Moto g stylus has 30 wfast charging... Plus a significantly larger 5,000 battery.
@@newfnshow031 So you're buying based on which phone will be better in 2 years? I'm buying based on which is better now ... Which is the Moto G Stylus 2024
Thanks for the review! I am currently looking at upgrading from my current Google Pixel 7 to the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. It's a really excellent phone from the reviews and videos that I have watched. However, the Moto G Stylus 5G 2024 does look like a really good value as well. I can't wait to see what kind of sales will be going on for the Galaxy S24 Ultra from Samsung on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
You're a long time viewer so I will tell you I plan to sell my model if you're ever interested in buying. I sell at below ebay/swappa. The lowest price. My model is only a month old and mint condition so let me know if you're willing to buy directly. zach@androiddigest.com Again I'd go slightly lower then eBay or swappa if I sell directly. It's the 512GB model. I'm getting a Pixel 9 Pro in the mail so I'm waiting for it to arrive
It's all about the oled screen. That's the biggest jump. And the nice leather back, and 8gb of RAM. It's a nice upgrade. But the 2023 isn't too bad either. If it's worth it really depends on the person
I upgraded from 2023 to 2024 and it is night and day. The OLED display is amazing to look at. And one thing most of these reviewers don't mention is how much better the stylus experience is. Unlike on the older versiond, I rarely have any skipped space when I'm writing a note on the 2024. Truly this feels like an upgrade from the note 9 that I loved for so long.
Thinking about replacing my replacement phone the Galaxy A54 5G with either the Galaxy A16 5G when it comes to the US or the Motorola G Power 5G 2024 or the Motorola G 5G 2024 or the Motorola G Stylus 5G 2024 or Motorola G Play 2024, which should i get
@katinasoutherland7693 if that's the case should I either get the Motorola G Power 5G 2024 or Motorola G Stylus 5G 2024 or Motorola G 5G 2024 or Motorola G Play 2024.
@@PhillipLemmon I'm to be honest thinking about getting a Motorola phone, as i have had a bunch of Samsung phones, and have only owned one motorola and it was the motorola g7 supra/power.
I just bought mine, it’ll be here tomorrow! I loved the original moto g stylus (2021 it was literally the only smartphone I ever owned that I actually liked. And I’ve owned two iPhones) So I hope this one is just as good!
This is a great little phone. Has so many feAtures. Battery life is great. It's really a packed feature phone. Fast with bright screen. Sounds quality is good although you do have to change sound settings to more bass. Price can't beat
The Motorola G stylus and Motorola G power the stylus has an OLED screen so power should have been OLED the screen too considering Motorola G power and Motorola G stylus are their top line of mid-range phone
Friend had a previous Gen model and the mic was inconsistent and often cut out, the battery was awful and charged poorly, alongside a few other really basic standard things fell apart in time. I can't excuse this like at all still, previous model was that bad.
@@HyonkTeaHis complaints also apply to other brands as no one is perfect. I love my Poco X6 Pro but there's no denying some users have issues with their units. But painting all of them as bad just because of a few isolated cases is a bit over the top.
Ok you keep talking about the a35 like it's a great phone..... It's the same damn phone and the A54! At first I didn't want this phone Cuz it's stock android.... Wanted to go back to the Samsung ecosystem.... But now I'm realizing I won't be able to... So this is really my only f'kn option..... This phone is way better than the 21'moto power in rocking now, lol
When I asked for a suggestion from Microsoft co-pilot AI app for a phone and I gave it all of my criteria, even without the stylus only two phones came up, the Samsung a35 and the Moto g stylus 2024. My criteria that I need is a screen at least 6.6 in, must be full HD OLED, must have at least 5000 mah battery, must have at least 30 watt wired charging, must have at least 90 and preferably 120 refresh, must have both an SD card slot and headphone jack. It only gave me two phone options and of course I've always loved the stylus phone so that's what made the decision between those two
the Stylus is a gimmick - haven't seen a stylus on ANYTHING in 10-15yrs., Completely unnecessary. Good screen/resolution/motion stability. Relatively fast, inexpensive (Cricket), and 5G bonus! Among other nice touches. BEST part is that it is NOT Samsung or Apple!!! Long live MOTO!!!
Have one, don't like it. It's actually slow, and if you receive pics from someone that has an iPhone or Samsung the pics come out grainy blurry and deformed. Not a good phone in my opinion regardless how cheap you get it
Performs better than both the Samsung A35 and A54? I wasn’t expecting that.
I switched from the A35 to this. It definitely is better. It's on par with my pixel 8 imo

Hey man I just ordered mine off of Amazon for 237 for the Black Friday sale so it's a great phone for that price
Guess we all did 😂😂😂
I'm so close to getting one of these, been looking at them for months. Happy to see people still saying positive things.
I upgraded from the Edge plus 2023 and you couldn't pay me enough to switch back

And 15w wireless charging if you're into that kinda thing!
I get four to five days on a single charge with this phone so PIX8A would be downgrade for me. Tensor G3 is too inefficient of a chip for me.

It's definitely worth the upgrade. It's a no brainer. Don't have to look at the horrible screen and the giant bezels on the 2023.

Great review. I can't wait for the 2025 model.
For sure!
On cricket wireless they have this phone for $130 plus the $25 upgrade fee and that comes out to be only $155
So this or edge or a54? I'm looking to switch to total by Verizon.
I have moto edge plus for over a year microphone stops working would this be a good option
Samsung should really considering doing midrange stylus phones
Why is it priced like that (400)? The older one can be had for a little over $100 used.
Screencast require purchase of chromecast dongle, unlike samsung that you can share screen to tv without the dongle.
With only one software update is it worth getting?
It'll get more. My 2022 still gets updates.
Android versions don’t matter that much anymore
