- In this video we are covering the rear brake pad change of BMW 520d luxury line(G30) and also how to reset the brake service light by putting the car into diagnostic model.
The car work is carried in our own workshop. Rear brake pads have been directly purchased from BMW pune

I drive a 2018 g30 530d my car battery seems to be weak, would you recommend changing it in the service centre or outside like an amaron shop since the price difference is nearly half.
my BMW's battery was weak too
i would recommend it to charge battery and add battery water to the cell...cells can be accessed from above and are below the sticker...
if still after a week problem persists...
change it from amaron exide or s sonic...
its much better and cheaper
do you have the parking brakes off? if so then how do you stop the car from rolling forward?
The transmission locks in parking mode so for repairs for this applying handbrake is not required
Additionally to stop rolling over parking brake is applied
With a manual you’d put any car in first gear.
What is the brake pads cost front and rear brother
Is it oem?
Will it be same in showroom or expensive than this
The brake pads used here are OEM
The rear ones costed Rs 19k(purchased from BMW) excluding labour
I would say it would be better that you get your brake pads front and rear replaced outisde showroom and would be more pocket friendly
They are many good OEM replacements like TEXTAR, Rane etc that have same life as the OEMs
And costs half the price with labour
U can say for the same model in 25k you can replace both front and rear with labour

The service cost 40k in showroom in minimum will u get it done outside? How much it costs

1. Insurnace - 1.25 lacs ( all inclusive that means engine cover tyre cover and full body)
2. Service cost - 25-30k( inclusive of alignment showrrom charges extra 8k for that)
3. Brk pads- 25 k arppox (front and rear)
4. Tyres- Run flats - around 23k if looking for normal tyres they around 16k
Above are the cost for 520d(G30) the above one is personally owned by me.

23k per tyres translates roughly 92k? For 4 tyres
you dont have to change the rear brake pad wear sensor?
not required if the sensor hasnt worn out...
if the sensor has worn out then only it has to be changed

@@petinyiri message comes automatically on the screen..
generally front brk pads worn out on around25k kms and and rear ones on 30 to 35k kms...
To be doubly sure...crosscheck it with a trusted mechanic

@@yourWorkshopGuy mine around the second changes, UK version has 62000 miles (100 000km) BMW advices to replace the rear brake pads as only has 4mm left on them. but i not see a message yet on my dashboard, tha's why i asking if i will have the message on dashboard when to replace

Got it from BMW itself they do counter sale in pune
