I’m this personality type for sure. The hardest thing about being a mom is I want everyone to be at peace with each other. When people are unhappy with me or with each other I feel physically ill. I had a neighbor straight out ask me my politics and I had to say the truth but it hurt me so bad. I’m praying for detachment. The litany of humility helps me a lot. You might want to explore the spectrum as well. I know I’m on the spectrum and struggle with executive function. This knowledge has helped me love myself and understand my anxiety on a whole new level.
People should know better than to ask straight out what someones politics are, that can be a sure way to start a fight if one might be different than the other these days. I feel you in so many ways and in fact when I schedule my yearly physical I'm going to ask for a referral to a Psychiatrist for this exact reason. I'm curious where I am in the different layers and complexities of how I'm wired. It may help me to show myself a bit more grace.

We actually did the Myers and Briggs Personality Test while I was in nursing school. It was fascinating to see the personality types of my peers. I've taken it once since then and got the same result, INFJ
@@LonnaRaeDHD it really does help to work and interact with people if you know why they do things certain ways or behave certain ways. Like when I gave it to my mom, I always thought she was controlling growing up but what I didn’t realize was, it was all truly out of love and her not wanting her loved ones to make mistakes.

I’ve heard SO much about this test but haven’t taken it myself. It’s interesting and I would love to know more. I can relate to SO many things you said. I also feel like I don’t fit in. I love to be around people but need my alone time. I feel and empathize a lot with people too. I’m also a big picture person. Here’s where we’re different: I love debating politics and proving my point (as long as people are respectful about it).

I like the black and white video! I always come up as an INFJ when I do the Myers Brigg personality test. I thought 'Myers Brigg' was a man! 😂 The news is overwhelming for most people at the moment (I should think). With regards to ADHD, I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of the western population have it as we are overwhelmed with too much information coming in. When I think back to being a a child, there were no mobile phones or computers and we had one small black and white TV with 3 channels. We are exposed to too much stimulation today and it is getting harder and harder to concentrate or switch off. 😊
Good point on the over stimulation. I often long for simpler days. I know we are supposed to live in the present however it's hard not to reminisce about how simple things were and how much more calm my mind was back then. I am rare too, but finally am okay with not fitting in with most. I just find my people. And of course you are one of my people. I think I will take the test to see what I am. I might be the judgy though. I do not really take it to heart if everyone does not get along. I know I cannot control what others do. But I do stay away from the news.

Ask for a referral for a child psychologist...they are the best with the testing and have the most knowledge regarding symptoms. 💕
