I’ve just started the second book and I’m obsessed! Rhysand is just…. 😍
oh just wait, it gets so good 😩
…………good luck babe 🫂
I LOVE Rhysand!!!!!
If you watched naruto rhys is a sasuke that was good from the start
I don't know who he is yet but I'm already on board with Rhysand lol
Thank you for this spoiler free review! 🙏🏼
I just started acotar because of a friend's recommendation and I'm really enjoying it!! Also love the vid
I’m just past halfway through the first book and I already can’t put it down and love it, considering this is supposed to be the least favourite Im v excited as to where this is going
Update, second book finished, I can’t stop, help me, already 1/4 way through book 3
I've just started the first book for a video im doing over on my channel sam talks books. So glad I decided to read it. Also you've made me even more excited to continue
I'm 1/3 of the way through acowar!! First fantasy series I ever have read and I am throughly impressed 🧚♀️
I just finished book 2 and I’m obsessed. I just ordered the third one!!!
Completely agree on the first book - I felt exactly the same and how it just gets better and better as you go along!
Just started reading this series a couple of weeks ago and IM OBSESSED!! Book two was so amazing. I might now be in love with a certain black haired high lord 🥰 I’m on book #4 right now and I’ve heard good things about 5. I’m so excited!!
I am half way through the first book and I’m in love with story omg
I’ve just started reading the first book, I got in a little reading slump😅
But your review seriously made me wanna continue
Tysm🥰
yay!
I completed it just now and yeah it pulled me from my book slump too😁😁
Thanks for the spoiler free review. I was not interested in reading the series because everything on social media only talks about the spicy parts and I just am not looking for all spice if the stories not great but now I’m thinking of getting it at the library! Excited to dive into a new to me series
I love romance fantasy books too!!! We must be friends! It’s fate that I came across your videos! ♥️♥️ you got my support!
you are so nice 🥹🥹
I'm a series skeptic, so I'm going to see what I feel about this series from the beginning.
I just finished the audiobook and I am drawn to the storyline. The scene is so hot and spicy for some parts of it. I can’t wait to start on book 2 and hopefully they will make a tv series on this!
I just recently discovered this book and very excited to read it. I just got it for my birthday this month, hard copy of course, I want to have this book so I can read it over and over again. I have a feeling I'm going to love this book.
I currently reading a court of thorns and roses book 1 for the first time, really like it 😊
Awesome review Kim! I haven't read this series, but am hearing about all the hype just now and wanted a smidge more info without spoilers, and you did an excellent job doing so. Thank you! Off topic, LOVE that daybed couch piece in the background... is that simply a twin mattress with a side headboard, and aesthetic pillows and blankets??!? If so, now I want one of those in my office! 😍
You’re so sweet! It’s actually a queen size bed from Ashley furniture!
@@blondiewithabook Oh, ok! It looked slim, so I wasn't certain if it was small or large, but love the set up of your bed Kim! It's looks so cozy. Subscribed too! Thanks again 😊
@@thethriftyfawn aw thank you!! happy you are here :)
I was giving up on reading lately, because there was so many books that disappointed me, but this one's REALLY GOOD!! I fell in love with Tamlin!😁♥️♥️
best book series everrrrrrr
If you haven’t read the second book yet Tamlin is going to disappoint you
I ordered a book set of the books online from Indigo (I'm in Canada, they are likely the equivalent-ish to Barnes & Noble lol) and waiting for them to arrive. They were having an awesome sale this week on best sellers, so that was the extra push I needed!
Also, I noticed the whole "daybed" in the background was totally an optical illusion... I totally thought the wooden "footboard" was the actual flooring in the room, and the bed started at the bottom of the brown blanket. So it looked super slim and cute like a daybed further away in the background on the other end of the room, and a very unique looking one LOL!!! Wow, my eyes definitely played some tricks on me!!! 😂
When I die, I'd want to be buried with the 'A Court of Mist and Fury' book, please. Thank you 🧎
I am only reading the first book and my husband already bought me the next two because I told him I like it like I love Harry Potter. It has made me fall in love with reading again.
same!!
I was looking for this exact comment!! I love Harry Potter so much, so I was hoping to find out if this book genre would be up for someone who loved Harry Potter. Have you read all the books in the series?
I am just nearing the end of the first book! I keep hearing comments about Rhysand... 🤔🤔 i'm intrigued and excited!
I’m excited for u
@@blondiewithabook 😁😁💖
I’ve never read this series but I have read the first two books of the throne of glass meaning to say I read the prequel to it and the first book my favorite book series is the vampire Academy series but I am hoping to find some other good books so I am planning to start this series I hope the first book is important to read to understand the rest
It's twilight but with faeries and yes, obsessed with it!
This reminds me more like beauty and the beast mix with little dust of twighlight and mystic messenger. Anyway I am listening to the audiobook, really need to go buy the physical book. Can't get enough of it.
I'm not a fantasy girly or a series girly but everytime I'd search for a good romance it kept getting recommended. So I caved and my god where have I been!? I love the first book!! If you think it's a 3star I darent even start the second 😍😍
I just finished book 1 and loved it despite the chaos. Starting book 2 today!!
ahhh so excited for u!!!
I decided to start reading this series because at the end of book 2(HoSaB in crescent city series) it mentions Rhysand and I went on a google frenzy and figured out the universes collide into some big mega verse so I need to start reading her other series 😂
Ah I need to read crescent city and TOG still!
This is not my typical genre, but I really want to give it a try and hope that I like it
I am in a book slump, and this has been the series I am seeking to read to get out of it. I just am scared it will get worse because I have been in a book slump since November 😂. No, to mention, I don't read fantasy, really.
But, I like your review, so I think I will start it today because I have all the paperbacks!
give the first book grace, but I think this series is great for pulling someone out of a slump!!
I just got my books today I’m so excited 😊😊😊
Okay so I finished the cruel prince series and was wanting good recs for my next read so I guess imma buy it now
you won’t regret it 👏🏼👏🏼
TFOTA series is literally so good. I just finished the queen of nothing and now my heart feels hollow
I started reading the first book and stopped at the half way point because I just thought it was terrible. After hearing your review I'm going to give book one another shot so I can get to book 2. Thanks for no spoilers!
yay! hope you love it ☺️
Yes power through! I just finished the 1st book today and it took me awhile but about 70% through I got hooked!
@@blondiewithabook I finished book one! I swear I was pages away from the turning point the first time. It got so good! I immediately started book two 🤗
@@tayler2957 it was the same for me. I just gave up too soon the first time. I love the last 1/3rd.
@@shaunastitches same here! Can’t wait to start the second book tomorrow lol
i loveddd these books! but i started way to young lol, i just skipped through most of the scenes tho :))
I just finished the 3rd book in the series and I thought the seccond was an emotional roller coaster but then the 3rd gave me emotional whip lash. It was bad I deadass cried and laughed and got mad, I was and am I mess. I still have set to read the others tho idk if I wana allow myself to experience the shift in focus to the other characters. Also I just love the main couple
One of my favorite Podcast networks LPN does deep dives into book series and the previous one was Dune. This year or season is ACoTaR and I said why not try it out
that’s so exciting. hope you enjoy it!!
Nothing compares to the aching and sadness when you finish acotar every single time I read the series (which is often) I get the urge to read fanfiction which rarely ever happens
yesssssss
I'm reading book 1 now and I'm still in the boring part, and I'm watching this video to give me motivation to keep going 😂 since I've heard SO MANY good reviews about it but I've heard that I just HAVE TO power through the 1st book 😅
definetly need to power through!!!!
Literally me rn
Like you, I'm procrastinating finishing acsf just because i don't want the series to end. I want to keep living in velaris with the characters!! 😂
I hope she releases another book soon!!!!
hey ive just gotten into reading and till now ive only read like romance books but when i read shatter me series i was obsessed and i want to read sumn more fiction that has romance but im in not really into magical creatures and stuff tho ive never tried.. do u think i should give acotar a try as a first proper romantasy?
I’m on book 4 I don’t want it to end 😢😢
I’m almost done with the first book! I started it last year but put it down for months and just recently picked it up again when I found the whole series at Goodwill! I’m so excited to dive into the rest. I’ve heard so many good things about the second book. Alittle nervous because I’m really loving Tamlin but have heard a lot about Rhysand through Instagram. I’ve had to forcefully stop myself from spoiling it many times 😭
Edit: I’m on ACOWAR and all I can say is fuck Tamlin.
we’ve all been there 😂😂
It also makes wish her series was made by Bethesda. Both ways of story telling has quite similar. Same as co projeck red as a video game
I just started it and the fact Feyreh is 19!!!!! Throws me off so my cannon is she’s a full adult and not just a young woman.
Okay but where do I find friends who will read with me and text about it!
Really great video
thank you, Ashley!
so... can i skip the spice? will i miss anything?
Is the 5th book the final book in the series?
Okay so I am currently reading book one and I am obsessed! But I looooove Tamlin and Feyre and now I’m very surprised to see all these ‘rhysand
hehe
Rhysand is dreamy
But there’s something about Cassian…
I’m struggling ‘cause I really can’t decide between start The Cruel Prince or ACOTAR, I just want a good enemies to lovers that hook me all the way through the saga and fantasy.
please help me decide
ahh! both are so good. I say if you want spice go for acotar, no spice go for cruel prince!
Ahh... I have recently read all of these, however, the books feel like a kid's story plot, with the depth of kids' story characters.... except with sex. Book 5 is just straight smut... I find it really difficult to ignore the consistent repetition of metaphors and sayings, "she could have sworn...", "Indeed!" "He unleashed himself..."
Despite this, I can't put them down- I need to know what happens next. lol
a lot of the spice is cringy 😂
First book is definitely giving me "Beauty & The Beast" vibes.
in the beginning yes, but for the series as a whole it’s honestly not at all!!!!
If you are familiar with American Gods or the most recent God of War games it’s a similar approach to mythological forms. The work delves into the familiar tropes, schemes, and structures of some myth, folklore, tale, etc and by touching the archetypal form essentially the same way an old oral poet would’ve, they embellish those vehicles of meaning or ideology in relation to the audience and society and situation that they are finding themselves communicating within. This is the way they continue to make those figures and ideas eternal and timeless but also breathe new and exciting life into characters and stories and situations that maybe have never yet existed. So yeah, there’s a beauty and the beast thing going on, but there’s also arguably a Jason and Medea thing going on, or a Helen and Paris and Menelaus thing going on. And maybe something totally new and different too
Sounds like a good book, think i'll give it to my 8 year old son for a birthday gift
I would not recommend this for an 8 year old!!!! at least 18+
New subie♥️
I need to read the following:
The Cruel Prince
I Must Betray You
Throne of Glass
A Court of Thorns and Roses
These Violent Delights
BUT FIRST I HAVE TO FINISH RESTORE ME BY TAHEREH MAFI
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
send help
Heyy:) i wanted to read this series but idk if this series have a happy ending....???
yes!
What is the Hulu series called and is it out yet?
The show is not out yet, still in active development!
Ugh im currently reading a court of wings and ruin and I miss Feyre’s pov, but Nesta is also a baddie
her character development is so good
is the third book as good as the first 2??
@@raizad6753 yesss
Okayyyy
All three of sarah maas books are honestly rhe style i like it is weird
Oh man im only 12 😢 i wish i could read this
I hate how into this book series I am 💀
acotar for life
Review starts 3:13 , technically 4:50
Thank you🙌
SHOULD I READ THIS BOOK OR NOT?. PLEASE IVE SEEN SO DIFF REVIEWS AND NOW IAM STUCK!!
my favs are red queen, forth wing series, divergent, the legend so if it gives that vibe please do tell me.
read it for sure in my opinion the final book is super difficult to get through not for the length but do to Nesta's perspective.
@@briannalemmo1047 oh thank you for replying but i did read the first book and hated it :/ . Gave try to second one as everyone was saying thats where the storyline gets interesting but sadly stopped reading it halfway. Not really my cup of tea 😅.
is this an ongoing series?
I believe she is writing 2 more books for this series, not sure though. I hope she is 🥺
If i don t like the first book. I won t waste my time reading the second one.
Is this book series over??
I think she is writing another book!
this is the first review where I've encountered someone expressing fatigue with Feyre, the main character, a sentiment with which I disagree. why continue reading a book if you dislike the MAIN character?
Should i let my 13 year old read this?
no. I recommend this book series the absolute youngest 17!
I am 13 and currently reading book two…🥲but I LOVE it!!
Is this suitable for 17 years old people
I think so! 17 minimum.
is this a dirty series?
yes and no. Definitely some spicy scenes in the books but I think they are easy to skip over. Book 2 and 5 are the worst as it goes for sex, but book 1 and 3 have hardly any in it. I wouldn’t recommend this series for anyone under 18
Just finished the series and the hole in my heart is awful 😅
But in reality, this book really romantices abuse and toxic romantic relationships
Why do they have to put PORN in every fantasy book!? Seriously ask yourself that... I do not want to read about people having sex or what they are thinking about doing or how when or where! The "World" needs clean writers...
I´m finishing the first book and I´m honestly scared because Feire and Tamlin are so cute and there´s way to much room for it to get ruined 🥲
