I know the productions will go on but for me this is the epilogue, and the finale of Hadestown. Like Orpheus brought his message to the world again and again and now, finally, he's allowed to sing the song for the last time and exit the cycle.
In the actual mythology, they do get a good ending with Orpheus and Eurydice being together in the afterlife with him being able to look back at her as much as he wants
Somewhere in my heart, I always thought that it would be cool if they changed the ending for a special occasion. Somewhere in my brain, I never thought that "this time" would ever come.

And leave with the woman he loves.

@@MrImastinker I had no idea he was with Eva, but that chemistry was undeniable!
Both finally leaving together was a great send off.

Thank you so much for sharing! Patrick's speech was so touching. ❤
You are so welcome!
Oh my god I was like "aw is Amber not there? That's such a shame"
Maybe they should do this again when the show has its final show before closes
Praying that Reeve and Eva are going to be a newlywed couple now that they both left Hadestown!
Blessed to see this close up even when I couldn’t travel to see it live 🫂
