Thanks for your Video Man I just fixed my Wife's nissan rogue the switch was the problem, I couldn't done it without your help.. keep up the good work happy new year
Does same brake light switch controls left right and Centre third brake light? In my case centr brake light is not working while left right are working. So is fuse ok in this case?
At end of Sept the brake light switch on my Nissan Rogue was changed at a mechanic shop and as soon as I drive out of the place I found that my gas pedal was NOT working. I had to shut the car and turn it on about 3 times so that the car would move and I could go back to the shop. When I got there I was told that this new issue had nothing to do with the gas pedal being so hard and the car not moving. After they looked again at the car, they changed the brake light switch again but to another brand and the car worked fine. About two weeks ago the issue started again. The gas pedal is hard and I can’t drive. QUESTION: Do you know if this is a known issue? And if so, what can I do to get it fix once and for all?
I have a problem on a 2001 maxima. Brake light switch keeps burning out 4/2019 Original switch failed and replaced with a FACET branded switch from rockauto. Everything was fine working great until September 2022 when the switch burned out . I replaced it with one from eBay . It worked for a week or so and stopped working(I complained to seller and they refunded me) . I Replaced it again with a different branded switch from another seller and it did the same thing in a week. Any ideas ? Note the ABS light is also on on the car. May not be related .
Either way. This helped me tremendously! Just did a blower motor on my in-laws rogue last night. Had to remove everything to get to the center of the dash. I wasn't aware that the brake light and the cruise switch had a certain adjustment. Had them in too far, which I found will also cause thermal expansion of the brake fluid. My wife was driving it today and the brakes locked up at 70 mph. Nothing bad happened, Thank fully. She was able to get it off the highway. I just put a transmission in it 3k miles ago and that was my first thought. When I got there to load it on the trailer, I found it was the brakes locked up. These switches was the first place I looked, since I had them all out last night.
in my case both brake lights turn on except when the car is parked: if the car is parked and i press the brake pedal, the passenger side brake light won't turn on. could the issue be as well a bad break light switch or something different? I own a Nissan Rogue 2008 SL AWD

My tail lights don't come on when I turn on the car head lights. My brake lights and signal lights work just fine. Any advice? 2011 Rogue.
Thank you very much for the blessing

Where can I find the grommet that is my exact problem it missing
Come here looking for the same thing! Dammit! He didn’t answer!
Its a common issue. Any part centre will provide.
What's up with the wire nut? Looks like some shade tree mechanic has had a hold of it.
Yea not sure about the history of the car.. there definitely shouldn't be a wire nut there

Glad that you figured it out. The blower motors on alot of Nissan are difficult to replace
Will it drain battery
What if the brake light works fine but the night/fog rear light doesnt, when they use the same bulb
Having the same problem did you find a solution
Thanks
Is this easy to test?
Is it the same for 2009 Nissan Murano?

I own a Nissan Rogue 2008 SL AWD
FYI I also got a P0703 error on my scanner
What the name of both the switch?
Holy man, check the first thing you say about the grommet and that’s what it was
Remnants were on the carpet floor🤣
Imma let the ad play on my way out. Thank you
Having the switch stop light failed......this could cause problems with accelerating the car.... please anyone can help me on this
