    Jason, while not the result that you wanted, one can see that you were more well rested in this video compared to yesterday, I know some people say bowling in a PBA tournament is like running a marathon, but this is one that you need to come out of the gate quickly and keep up a huge pace and not let up. It is just so hard to catch up once you fall behind. Thank you for sharing your day with us and good luck next week at the US Open, we will looking forward to the video from day 2 onward. Ken

    I’m so hype you are posting these! I just started bowling 2 hand and learning so much from just your videos you are helping many people not only with the physical part of the game but also the mental part! I play professional baseball and I think there are similarities with the way the body moves so it’s cool to hear you talk about it

    Keep grinding, Belmo! Hopefully, in the next tournament, the scoring pace won't be as stressful. Keep making good shots and may your ball choices be wise.

    This may be presumptuous of me, but I really wish he would have tried the Optimum Idol Pearl... maybe he did and it was not shown, but I own the ball myself and it is GREAT when short patterns get stretched out and the breakpoint becomes very "wiggly" so to speak. I like to make the big jump left on short as well, and it has consistently given me amazing ball reaction. The big stuff like the Origin and Phase 2 were definitely a bit too smooth and the Zen 25 was pushing just a bit too far - so I think it would have been a good option

    You’re still the GOAT in my opinion and who am I to critique a bowler of your talent. However, I’ve watched you a lot over the years Jason and you seem to be changing things a lot more these days. Especially balls. Could it be you’re tinkering just a bit too much. Hope next week fares better. Rest, relax and be ready. 🇦🇺

      When you throw the kind of shot he threw at 3:56 and you almost leave a flat 7/10 you’re throwing the wrong ball. Pretty sure he knows what he’s looking for as far as ball reaction

    • @h8re
      @h8re 10 днів тому +2

      Additionally, to average 240 to do even decent, you simply CANNOT have bad ball reaction on pairs this easy, and since he isn't getting said good reaction, clearly he would need to switch
      Get to some harder scoring patterns i imagine the switches will appear less often

    In my opinion; I believe that you should’ve stuck with using the duller pearl balls whenever you got out of urethane. Not a pro(yet) but I do watch you guys very closely. The shiny balls were getting to the pocket but they were either too clean , not getting the 10 out, or too responsive making it sharper than Japanese blade.

    Jason, if you would consider advice from someone less accomplished than you:
    When you're on, you're present. You bowl and turn back looking downwards thinking about the ball motion, the pin action, how the movement felt, next corrections, possible ball change, etc.
    When you're off, you are absorbed in your ego. You bowl and promptly scan to check who saw your shot, their reactions, etc. It seems you're adrift, just trying to do the minimum to fulfill your contract obligations. Playing the "social game".
    The contrast is crisp.
    Who you "are", where you "stand" socially, and what people are thinking of you are irrelevant.
    It always comes down to you, the lane, the ball, and the pins: just like it was back at your parent's bowling center.
    Bowling is the only game. All other "games" are fluff; distractions.
    Find yourself on the US Open's lanes and allow yourself to enjoy the challenges the lanes throw at you.
    You deserve to feel good doing what you do best. Why not have a good time with it?
    Love is all around you, man!
    Take care!

  • @nordattack
    @nordattack 10 днів тому

    Somehow it seems wrong that so many strikes are both needed and possible on the pattern.
    You would think the pattern would be such that striking is virtually impossible and a solid set would be the very hard requirement for making the cut.
    Advantage to the shot makers and spare artists.

  • @JoshuaBelarmino
    @JoshuaBelarmino 8 днів тому

    Belmo was once the pinnacle of 2-hands bowling... Now many of pro bowlers have switched to 2 hands and starts winning. Belmo starts the fade.. Storm shifts to make new bowls designed and named for belmo.. I was a great sale.. But the performance is such a flop.. Also Belmo cant top his game anymore.. The ION Max was a hit... not designed for belmo.. good color.. good smell.. I hope Storm continues that kind of trend.. we need bowling as an encouraging sport.. not tilted to one single bowler..

    Belmo, I’m not sure if you read these or not. But , why experiment with new balls ( other than to promote new ball sales for your sponsor) when you have balls that you know are proven winners for you ( ex HyRoad, Phase II, black urathane) I’m trying to understand the thinking behind it when the goal is shoot the best you can .
