RIP to Icarian. My gym just got rid of all their Icarian/nautilus stuff and replaced it with matrix, and im honestly switching gyms now. Matrix equipment feels so bad, but hey the 40 yr old women that sit on their phones and do 8 total sets of only machines are happy I guess.
Those rocking Hoist machines are the most pointless gimmicky stuff Ive ever encountered. But your attempt for a world record in "most use of the word f..k in fifteen minutes" was pretty impressive.
I used to go to a gym that had Life Fitness machines and I found them to be very comfortable and built just right. My new gym has TechnoGym equipment and I gotta say I never knew working out could be so frustrating and uncomfortable. Terrible design, some machines are not even symmetrical so over long periods of time you can potentially have unequal growth.
dude, at first I thought that was my comment. My gym just replaced almost everything with technogym, and quite a bit of it I don't like. They got a handle (not pad type) pec fly and it's really uncomfortable, and goes from difficult to easy during the ROM. That's what I hate--when you can't choose a good weight b/c it goes from difficult to really easy during the ROM. The seated benchpress (with foot assist) does have a good feel. But overall it's some sort of 'euro' equipment aimed at gyms that want to look fashionable. Quad extension has a weird pad under the thigh that's rock hard, really uncomfortable. But other pieces have slightly-too-mushy pads...
Technogym is... I mean they defy logic... They have these displays that are fun, but their seated raise calf machine defie has this huge cushion for your legs that makes it ineficient, their pec preses are useless as they don't go deep enough to give you a stretch. I'm 6' so I don't fit into all machines. Panatta does offer that deep stretch. We've recently discovered that the deep stretch is what best builds your pecks.
@@fullredplatinum the seated calf I'm ok with. They do use too-thick pads on various things, including their benches. They have a hip flexor/leg raise stand with pads that are way too thick and the handles are like 3" too wide on each side, making it uncomfortable, so I have to sort of make fists and put them inside the handles instead of holding the handles. They just ignore good equipment design for many pieces.
@@monkeyb1820 I used cushion because that's how big those things are, pads is not an appropriate term lol. That's why they defy logic because instead of using less material they use more.
Shocked for a gym owner not to know woodway for treadmills. They are the top period - last forever . Agree with most otherwise . I appreciate the love you showed some brands that are deserved. I’d rate hammer and life fitness higher though
Some brands are better than others on average, but every brand can have pieces that stand out from the competition. For example I think Panatta has the best plate loaded machines on average (with some machines that are not so good compared with other brands), but many of the selectorized ones are inferior to the Technogym or Matrix ones.
I had a guy come in to the ft worth metroflex and said he was previously from BigTex down in Austin. Plan to check it out next time I’m down that way. Also list is solid, I haven’t been able to find much Atlantas stuff but I use all the old nautilus stuff up here.
The Panatta upholstery is fkn ridiculous..lol. I laughed when I used the selectorized leg curl and leg ext they were so damn nice. Absolutely amazing feel. Ferrari comment nails it.
Rogue is definitely A or higher. And where is Prime at? Prime and Atlantis are by far the best manufacturers of equipment. Panatta is overhyped and wayyyyy over priced. Have fun spending 10 grand at minimum per piece
Yes. I'm not sensitive, but it just got to the point that it was stupid and annoying. Couldn't focus on anything but that. Take a drink every time he says, "fuckin", and you'll be dead by minute 5.
NAUTILUS ONE IS AWESOME VERY UNDER KNOWN THAT LINE MEDX RULES XFORCE IS NEXT LEVEL! PANATTA IS GREAT TOO OVER PRICED THOU CYBEX IS NOW DEFUNCT THEIR LOWER BODY IS GOOD THEIR UPPER BLOWS CAMS OFF ATLANTIS ALSO WEIRD OR LAME CAMS THEIR PLATELOAD, SOME, ARE QUITE GOOD HAMMER MTS IS ALSO VERY UNDERAPPRECIATED TECHNO I WANT TO LIKE IT BUT ITS OFF

My gym has a bunch of old Icarian pieces. Stuff is immortal. The Icarian hack is king.
@@davidboggs3057 I go to bed at night dreaming of my old Icarian hack squat and wake up to this matrix nightmare bullshit lol
Icarian made some of the best equipment. That stuff will survive a nuclear blast.
Sadly, most chain gyms have lease contracts with companies, so that's usually the reason the older but better equipment disappears!

rob doing a tier list wasn't on my bingo card for 2024 love it

Good video, I agree for the most part. What do you think of Arsenal Strength?
I too would like you thoughts on Arsenal and Prime equipment, Thanks!

Thanks, my local gym has Atlantis and Panatta, among many other brands. Helps to go to a gym owned by equipment enthusiasts.
Rogue finally has come out with more functional attachments catering to bodybuilding!
The pannata legs press is unreal, I don’t like leg press but the pannata one hits different from anything I have ever used
which one? the medical one or the one with you have to load with plates?
Depends on the machine, each have their own goodies and bad machines.
Gym in my town has Paramount. Good camber action

Do you believe plates and barbells count as equipment? Is cardio equipment just treadmill? Wha about rowers, assault bikes and bikes?

Atlantis is non existent in Austin.
@@shaundonovan2193 I’m up in the DFW area, but the same might apply here too.
I'm 6.5 and I've always love hammer strength machines. now I know why
Awesome video !

Rogue bars..belt squat..reverse hyper..ghd are all really great.
Hey Rob! Check your mic set up! Headphones are only getting your voice out of the right ear.
I'm glad I saw your comment! I always use left side ONLY at home and I was like "what the h is going on with this video!?"
