This video was SO helpful! We’re taking on our first State Farm claim as a small business and they covered soft metals and some ridge cap making the claim conveniently just under the deductible but shingles surrounding vents are super brittle and hoping to take this route. I believe the shingle is discontinued as well
That’s a great idea. I think I’ll do that. Shingles are considerably less expensive than metal roofs but I will be doing a metal roof this winter, so I’ll definitely be scrubbing up. Thank you so much for the recommendation and for the comment
@@ChicagoRoofer i am going to be in the market for a house here soon and am looking to minimize maintenance. Long term, should i be looking at metal roofs?

Great video, do you prefer standard shingles to metal roofs, could you do a video on it?

How long does nts take while the roof is tarped?
What i am getting from this is don’t get an asphalt shingle roof.
Asphalt roofs can be tricky. What would you like to know?

5" exposures, disco baby
You're spot on. They are discontinued but this roof would be a nightmare to do due to the flashing issues with rotted wood siding.
Guessing you're a roofer. What city? How long you been doing it? Thanks for the comment :-)
