Norfolk Southern CNO&TP; Part II: Harriman & Oakdale

- Welcome back, to our Tennessean getaway to one of Norfolk Southern's most namesake mainlines in eastern Tennessee. This "episode", we’d be focusing primarily on the towns of Emory Gap, Harriman, Oakdale, and of course, Spring City, Tennessee. This video consists of the next 3 days (Days 3-5) of an 8 day set of content, that is being uploaded in 2-3 day sections, voted on by my Instagram viewers, and for the sake of video time and content flow. That said, each video will be slightly different from the last, so I hope that y’all stick around for the rest of the trip’s content, for, perhaps some laughs, some new information, or just some general enjoyment. Let’s face it, I’m no professional, but railroading is my lifelong hobby. To those who are still watching after all this time, I appreciate all of the support, since I’m simply doing what I love. I attempt to upload railroading videos as often as possible, being limited by basic lively boundaries, whether it be school, work, or simply a packed schedule regarding the family.

I hope that the content which I produce is somewhat enjoyable. My videos primarily show what railfanning is truly about. Whether that includes my friends, jokes from our boredom, or simply the trains themselves. I’m hoping that along this journey, new viewers will become regular fans of this channel, as I’m showing some things which others may neglect. Besides, I’m just doing what I love and it’s always nice to share that with people who share those interests. In the end, whatever I’m producing is meant for trainwatchers and railroad enthusiasts of all ages.
Thanks for Watching!!! - Авто та транспорт
NS 196 is Chattanooga to Elkhart manifest
Did that change with the recent symbol changes? Everywhere I looked beforehand showed Fort Wayne. If not, my mistake.
nope. Always has been to Elkhart. Unless if terminating in Fort Wayne which is rarely.
As a heads up for those who attended the premiere for this video and experienced minor glitches, they seem to have ironed themselves out, and none of those are present in the final public product. I also realize my editing mistake, in that the K&O District stands for “Knoxville and Ohio”, not Oakdale.
Love the Rathole!!!!!

Basketball Courts,do better research
55:14 that is a Morse code ID'er that broadcast NS's license call sign for using that frequency ,you used to hear those a lot on fire and police frequencies . Hope to see places on the CNO&TP in northern Tennessee and southern Kentucky that's where some of the most dramatic work took place when they bypassed the old tunnels during the 1963 line relocation project .
Gotcha. Interesting, though, that I haven’t heard that on other railroads before. Also, if you’re referring to us, we’d only make it as far north as Lancing on this trip. I was trying to focus more on the areas shown mostly in this video, as it was closest to our Crossville residence. Definitely notes for a future visit though.
T45 originates out of Chattanooga and handles local work out of Emory Gap and 189 set off at #5 storage/Waters
I hope you continue to go out railfanning in the near future. Please keep it up with posting more railfan stuff when you go out to railfan. I did subscribe to your friends YT channel Georgia Rail Productions. I will start watching his videos very soon. Have a good weekend to you sir.
I definitely have quite a bit of content coming. Even some Florida stuff is on standby, due to my inability to get my Tennessee content out as quickly as I’d have liked to. Some very interesting stuff on the way…stay tuned.
@@kotabeaner Warn Tampa Bay Railfan that Hurricane Ian is on the way and Tampa might take a direct hit by the hurricane as a Category 4 or a Category 5
Tarpon Springs might get hit with historic storm surge up to 10 to 12 feet
It's coming in and it's gonna be bad
10:12 44R is a grain train to gainesville georgia at the cargill feed mill hoped this helped and idk why 44R is always mixed grain for some reason
Thanks for that! I’ve started calling it the ‘Phantom Symbol’, cause it always seems to pop up in the most random places. Now I can put those theories to rest…haha!
Keep 'em coming!
I don't know anything about trains. Are the rails supposed to flex up and down so much?
In what instance are you referring to? Just give me a timestamp in the video.
@@kotabeaner For example, at 6:45, bottom left of the screen, the rails seem to move up and down as the train rolls along. Is this expected behavior, or are the rails supposed to be more rigid?
Nice video escute, I watched the whole thing just now. Had a awesome time with u bro.
Sorry it had to be cut so short…truely hope to get more time out there with you soon bud.🍻
When I about your age I spent my summers in Rockwood. We (my brothers) got in trouble by climbing on the signal towers to watch the trains go by...
Cody: Thanks for another good one. You are showing absolutely great potential as a producer of topnotch rail videos. I'm not so sure about that Georgiarail kid. That boy ain't seen the ball since the kickoff. You might need to shuck him like a 12-ga pump. He needs to grow up a mite more. Or, maybe a lot more........... Thanks for the video.
Anything with UPS on it, unless it is a non-intermodal road or doesn’t have high priority intermodal trains like that: front of the line.
