Playing guest lead guitar at the gig for this song was Nick Simpson, composer of the song and long-standing friend of the band. Nick was the leader of 1980s Nottingham indie band, 23 Jewels, who originally recorded the track as a single. Their recording was NME Record of the Week in January 1980.

This is still - after 40 years - in my Top 10 tunes. Just fabulous. I saw Any Trouble twice in about 1979 I thought they were sensational. Still do. Thanks guys.
